My pharmacists gave me teva buproprion Xl 150 which stayed on the market after the 300mg dose was withdrawn. It has a different absorption profile than the brand name and I'm wary of it. Any insights? ## The only thing you can really do is try it and see how it works for you. Learn more Bupropion details here. If you experience any unusual side effects, or it doesn't seem to work, then make sure to inform your doctor and pharmacist. Have you taken any yet? ## No not yet. Starting Sunday. The brand is $118 even with insurance, so I plan to try the generic to see if it works. Thanks for the comment. ## Been on it 4 days now. A little dry mouth, a little headachy, a little more energy, possibly loose stool but that's a rare side effect. Could just be something I ate. It's e...

I was taking 150 ml of Bupropion SR by Teva for several years and it has stopped working for my depression. Has anyone been happy with the other generic forms of Wellbutrin? I am now trying one from Activis but just started it yesterday. ## Your body will get used to the dosage of any medication that you take for a long period of time and it will eventually become less effective. Thus, it's really doubtful that switching manufacturers will help. It's most likely that you need a slight higher dosage to get the same benefits as you did before from this medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? You can read more Wellbutrin details here. ## Please let me know how the Actavis generic is working for you. I have been taking the Watson generic for 2 years and liked it. Just n...

Can I just stop taking 150 mg xl wellbutrin, it is my second day off and I do t feel too bad. Are the withdrawal effects yet to come. My pharmacist told me to take one and then skip one and so on till I was finished, but I have read that is not a good idea. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ## My pdoc wanted to wean me off of 150 mg Wellbutrin XL completely. But she told me that taking it every other day would be too much of a jump. Instead, I should take 150 mg one day and 75 mg the next. However, brand Wellbutrin XL is not available in 75 mg dosage and you can't cut a 150 mg XL pill in half. She suggested that I try one of the generics which was available in 75 mg dosage. The only generic I was tolerant of was TEVA Budeprion XL. But the FDA pulled it from the market an...

Teva brand Welbutrin 100 mg SR has worked like magic for 4 years (no more depression!!) but they just stopped making it. Does anyone have experience switching to another gneneric? What do you recommend instead of Teva 100 mg SR? Thanks! ## Hello, Roseyposey! How are you? There's really no way to say, much of it depends on the person. The best thing you can is try one and find out. Which does your pharmacy carry, now?

I had a huge problem with a generic before (TEVA) and have been paying a larger co-pay for brand.....I was wondering if anyone had any info on the Zydus version. Thank You ## I have been taking Zydus bupropion xl for about two weeks. I don't think it is as effective, and I feel 'zaps'--not sure how to explain that, sortof like twitches. I have felt horrible. ## According to the US National Library of Medicine, Zydus's generic Bupropion is actually manufactured by Cadila Healthcare Ltd., based out of Ahmedabad, India. Zydus simply acts as their distributor with a local headquarters in Pennington, NJ. Each tablet reportedly contains the following set of inactive ingredients: hypromelloses, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid, polyethylene glycols , triethyl citrate, povid...

CIPLA got approval from the FDA to produce their generic version of Wellbutrin XL on August 30, 2016. I have made an inquiry to CIPLA as to whether their approval also means that they met the bioequivalence testing that other generic manufacturers had to comply with after Teva/Impax was pulled off the market in Sept. 2012 -- and Actavis (now owned by Watson) was removed Oct. 2013. [Second Generic Version of Popular Antidepressant to be Pulled from Market for Bioequivalency Issues]. Not sure if they have this problem corrected. Anyone know about Cipla or Watson/Actavis? ## For anyone else who may be wanting to contact Cipla USA regarding this concern, you can reach their customer service department by phone at: 844-CIPLA US (844-247-5287) or via email at: [email protected] Furthermore, it...

FYI, see: fda.gov / Drugs / DrugSafety / PostmarketDrugSafetyInformationforPatientsandProviders / ucm322161.htm?source=govdelivery They also have a Q&A on what this means: fda.gov / Drugs / DrugSafety / PostmarketDrugSafetyInformationforPatientsandProviders / ucm322160.htm?source=govdelivery ## For anyone looking for information on this, it is referring to the product from one specific manufacturer, not all generics that are on the market. The one they have found to not be equivalent is the one manufactured by Teva and marketed by Impax. Thank you, LadyluckVA for posting the information, it is much appreciated. I just wanted to clarify so that people taking tablets made by a different company don't panic thinking they have a problem. :-) The ones under concern are sold under the...

Pale yellow oval pill with Teva Pharm listed as manufacturer and 682 imprinted on pill. Generic of Wellbutrin XL 300 MG. How's it different? Is it more or less likely to make me nauseous? Keep me awake at night? Give me jitters? Any thoughts? ## It's the same as the generic version of Wellbutrin XL which is called Buprospion HCL XL (extended realease). This just means once a day dosing. Most community health care centers don't cover XL's, If you can get on the Walgreen's 90 day supply cash plan, the price is about $125 for 90 days which is half the cost of CVS. And they mail it to you. I would go with the latter if on long term. PS - it is now approved for ttreatment of some forms of ADHD. But as always, ask your doc. Mostly prescribed for MDD, SAD, and smoking cessa...

Is this safe to take wellbutrin 150xl After the company had to recall the wellbutrin 300xl. This was originally Teva and is renamed global pharmaceuticals? Are they now FDA approved again? I currently have WB 150 xl 681 oval yellow. I have taken it for a month , but am. baffled of all the stuff i just read..I feel like a. statistic. I also feel like stopping the medication immediately because i feel like its all a scam ## Hi, Silvia! I think you're misunderstanding information regarding the manufacturing of medications. When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, this creates competition, which helps keep prices lower for those who are uninsured. So Teva has not been renamed Global, they are two different prescription drug ...

Can't seem to find wellbutrin substitute made in the USA. Also, where are meds by Teva made? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? Where they are actually manufactured doesn't matter. As long as they are approved by FDA, they have had to meet the same efficacy and quality standards as all others that are on the market here. As to where a particular one is manufactured, what are the markings on it? That is what would enable me to check this information for you. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. ## I would advise you to do a bit of research before making such generalized claims. it is ayellow color oblong and it is made by teva i am looking for the ingredients active and non active ## My bupropion 300mg XL is white oblong with M B9 by mylan. Is substituted for Wellbutrin XL 300 mg tablets. Have yet to see a pic of the one I am taking. Is there someplace I have not looked? ## Wally ,I don't have a pic to post for you, but I can tell you that it is a white, oblong tablet with the code printed on it in black. NDC: 00378-2009 Do you have some reason to doubt that you've really received Bupropion? To the original poster, what are the markings on the tablet in question? This information would help with being able to answer your question. However, as to the active ingredient, that is Bupropion.

Does anyone know if Budeprion HCL (ER, SR...) is still being distributed at all in the US? Years ago I was Rx'ed generic Wellbutrin SR, always had filled at Target and always received the TEVA Budeprion SR formula. It worked wonderfully for me. Now that TEVA's Budeprion formulations have been pulled, my Rx's are filled with the Bupropion HCL or Bupropion HBR ER/SR - I haven't found a generic manufacturer of the bupropion (Mylan, Actavis, etc.) that works nearly as well as the budeprion. In fact, some generics have made me so ill that I've actually have a "poisioned-like" feeling (for lack of a better description) begin to ramp up after 2 weeks of a specific generic, every time I've tried that specific generic. Other generics seem to have no effect whatsoe...

Pills are round, purple, with a slanted E logo and the number 415 on one side, blank on the the other. The bottle says these are budeprion 150 mg SR from Teva, but I can't find any description of that medication that matches the pills the pharmacy gave me. ## Your round purple pills with imprint E 415 are generic Bupropion 150 mg extended release (NDC 0185-0415). Inactive Ingredients: - Carnauba Wax - Fd&c Blue No. 2 - Fd&c Red No. 40 - Hydroxypropyl Cellulose - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Polyethylene Glycols - Polysorbate 80 - Titanium Dioxide - Hypromelloses ## Mine is wellbutrin (budeprion) that I got to help quit smoking.

Hello! I recently was switched to the the Sun Pharma version of my Bupropion SR and wanted to know if anyone has experiened or heard of trouble with them. So far, they seem to be doing the job, but I recently have developed some upper (not stomach) abdominal pain which cannot be really pinpointed to anything. (Closest so far is a pinched nerve round the rib cage) Until recently I hadn't really concidered if the switch in medicine could be the reason. Any feedback on this brand's version of Wellbutrin? As a sidenote, I had been taking the Watson version(WPI 839)for about 2 -3 years with no problems, and previously had an extremely poor reaction to Teva (an extreme crash). I've never been lucky enough to afford the read deal so cannot offer any comparisons with that. ## Hello,...
