i don`t know why'but my pham. replaced my round white pill,with a orange oblong pill that seems like half the strength .ZOLPIDEM TARTRATE 10mg. what is the deal. is it just cheaper. chould i change pharmacy and get the old brand. i asked ,and she said it was TEVA this was -almost 2yrs. ago .i NEED TO SLEEP!!!!! ## Hi Brian, After doing some research on this, I found that most of the oblong/capsule-shaped Zolpidem tablets are only 5mg doses (the round white pill being a 10mg dose). Do you know what the markings are on the orange oblong pill? If so, I may be able to look up the dose and inactive ingredients of it. Generally when you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive"...
