Dear sir I am 38. For the last one year I am under medication for hypertension (some times it goes upto 140/100). Dr advised me to take one Telista - 40 Mg every day. Yesterday in one of the pharmacy instead of Telista-40, the person gave me Telsar 40 mg. I realised the change of medicine only after reaching home. the pharmacy is far away from my home and I am not a position to return the same. Could pl confirm whether both are equivalent and I can consume Telsar 40 instead of Telista 40. Your earlier response would be highly appreciated.

I am 58 years of age. Just 10 days back I started Thelma H 40 mg for BP 160/90 as advised by my doctor. After using it for 8 days I got dizziness, frequent urination and a light strain on my right side. So I consulted my doctor and am now taking Telsartan 40. My BP is now 120/80. How long should I use 40 mgs for? Can I reduce to 20 mgs? Please advise. Also which is better, Thelma H 20 mg or Telsartan 20 mg? ## You should take the medication and dosage that your doctor has told you take, unless they direct you to make changes. As reported by the NIH, dizziness and frequent urination can both be normal side effects, you may also experience nausea, headache, and hypotension. There really is no better medication, it depends on what works for you and what is safest for you to take. Is there ...

Currently, Telmisartan 40 is marketed in india by several companies. As advised by doctor, I have been taking taking telsartan 40 tablets (1 tab./day) since 4 years. Recently, while purchasing medicines at the pharmacy, I came to know about another product called telsartan 40 aciv. Both compositions appear to be same. Cost of 30 'Telsartan 40' tablets (3 strips of 10 each) is roughly about Rs. 345, whereas the cost of a bottle containing 30 'Telsartan 40 Activ' tablets is Rs. 90 only. Both are the products of Dr. Reddy's Laboratory. I would like to know if both are same and should I buy Telsartan 40 activ bottle instead of Telsartan 40 tablets, since the later is seems to be cost effective. ## i am surprised to see no response at all to this query. please....can some...

I had severe burning sensation on top of the head since mid November 2015. On 21/11/2015, my physician asked me to take Telsartan 40mg every morning as my BP was 178//100. Even after taking the tablets for one month, the burning in the head continued and on 23/12/2015, I visited a neuro physician who advised a CT scan of the head. The scan was normal but my BP was 180/114 and hence I was asked to meet the physician to bring down the BP immediately. The physician has prescribed Telma 40mg and Amlong, both to be taken twice a day. I am taking both these tablets twice a day since 23/12/2015. I checked the BP onn 4/1/2016 and 10/1/2016 and both times it was 120/80. However: 1. The burning on top of the head has not completely gone and i often feel this burning in the entire head sometimes. ...

I am 65 years old and hypertensive for last 30/35 years. I am under medication for long and presently taking Listril-SM tab and Stamlo 5, one each in the morning and Tenoric 50 one tablet at night. Recently one Cardiologist advised me to take one tab. Telma-AM-H 80 in the morning replacing the other medicines and also to replace Colsprin 100 with Ecosprin Gold 20. The problem is I tried Telma 40 and subsequently Telma-H a couple of years ago as per advise of a Cardilogist but it failed to maintain my blood pressure. On the contrary it shoots upto 190/100. The pressure becomes 140/80 after switching back to Listril-SM with addition of Stamlo 5. While Lisonopril seems to be suiting me why Cardilogists insisting on Telsartan ? Is this a better medicine or avoid using Tenoric ? ## I am 60 a...
