My father (post CABG, 65 yrs) has been taking Telma AMH 40 instead of Telma AM 40 (which he took for a year or so post CABG) since last 3 months. Recently he was diagnosed with unexplained loss of electrolytes (hyponatremia, Na was 104 when detected, and corrected till 122). Can this loss be due to the usage of Telma AM or AMH? I am 78 yrs old. Dr prescribed Telma 40 but by taking Telma 40 my bp drops down therefore i reduced to Telma 20. Now i am maintaining bp as 125/62-65 etc. In case i do not take medicine it increases to 140/90 approximately. Should I ask my dr to change the medicine or stop taking this medicine?
