I had severe burning sensation on top of the head since mid November 2015. On 21/11/2015, my physician asked me to take Telsartan 40mg every morning as my BP was 178//100. Even after taking the tablets for one month, the burning in the head continued and on 23/12/2015, I visited a neuro physician who advised a CT scan of the head. The scan was normal but my BP was 180/114 and hence I was asked to meet the physician to bring down the BP immediately. I checked the BP onn 4/1/2016 and 10/1/2016 and both times it was 120/80. However: 1. I have been taking Urimax 0.4 for some months now. Though, the medicine has been helpful in passing urine in a relaxed manner and also the flow is good, but a new problem has started. After driving for roughly two hours or so or sitting for two hours or so, then as and when I stand up, my urge to urinate becomes intense and also there is some leakage of drops, if I do not urinate urgently. What can be done and what is the right time to take this or the new medicine prescribed under these circumstances? I was taking repalol earlier which is quite helpful to control my BP but after i had my spinal surgery i asked to change my medicine from repalol to telma AM 80 which after few days caused difficulties for me in form of swelling and high risk of kidney damage which forces me to change again the medicine from telma AM 80 to Embeta XR 50 . but i am seeing that it's too not useful in controlling my high BP. Please suggest whether i switched back to my older medication repalol.

I am 65 years old and hypertensive for last 30/35 years. I am under medication for long and presently taking Listril-SM tab and Stamlo 5, one each in the morning and Tenoric 50 one tablet at night. I am 72, taking Telma 80mg after breakfast and Amlopress 5mg after dinner. Usually my BP in the morning is 140/85 but only after a breakfast of fruits like bananas, pomegranates, dates, apples, guava, etc. However, my BP frequently rises at times to 175/98, instead of decreasing, after about 2 hours. Is it due to the potassium in the fruits? For the last two days I've also been feeling dizziness. Should I switch to some other medicine for hypertension? I play tennis in the evening for half an hour. My pulse is about 65 bpm.
