I am looking for a pain clinic or Dr. who will prescribe hydros for severe neck and back pain ## It's actually getting increasingly hard to get any doctor to prescribe such medications anywhere in Florida, due to the new laws. Learn more Vicodin details here. There is also a shortage right now, due to the mandatory manufacturing limits, so if someone does get a prescription, it's hard to get it filled. Why is your old doctor no longer prescribing them? Does anyone know a good doctor they can recommend in that area? ## Hi I live in holiday fl and If you call Tampa Pain Relief Center they might can help u ## Looking for a Dr in Leesburg fl to get 120 oxy for chronic pain in my neck and back, fibromyalgia, neuropathy and debilitating arthritis. Like everyone else I am having a hard time finding a pharmacy that will fill my pain medication, I live in Brandon near Tampa Fla. My Dr. will only give me certain meds because he is aware of the problems getting some meds filled. When I went to the pharmacy I asked him and he said the same thing, I then said I guess I could do a mail order for the meds the pharmacy won't fill and the pharmacist told me that it is illegal to get narcotic pain meds mailed in Florida. I just had a script filled by mail in March, does anyone know if they changed that law? I know a lot of new regulations went into effect April 1st. Like Dr. cannot up your dose or quanity of certain meds after 4/1, many other state and federal changed too that don't apply to pain meds but I am just concerned about ha...

Just give them a local address and say you just moved there. Although, I doubt he would care. I've seen plates from Alabama and Georgia when I was there. He will keep you on whatever you are already on if you can bring your bottles or they'll just pull up your eforcse record. Not a pill mill! Just a Dr who treats patients instead of a government agent posing as a dr. if you know what I mean! He's a terrific guy! Don't poss off Mike, the office manager! He will ge...

need a pharmacy to fill my script in tampa florida or nearby. my prescription is oxycodone 30's,I get 180 of them.I also have insurance and hear places are only taking cash.My appointment is tomorrow,3/23...please help!! ## I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing which pharmacies have any given medication in stock, or what insurance plans they accept. In addition, there seems to be a current shortage of Oxycodone, due to manufacturers having hit their yearly production limits, so many places are having trouble getting it in stock. It might be easier to ask your doctor to prescribe any alternative medication, until production returns to normal in January. Are there any other comments or questions? ## I really need a pain dr. and cant find one over going to a suboxin clinic, they...

New to the area and looking for a doctor who won't be a pain about prescribing Ritalin or Adderall for adult ADHD. ## Well, the best thing you can do is to make an appointment with a new doctor and not ask for any particular medication up front. You need to get in for an appointment first and then discuss your treatment options. However, since these are controlled substance medications, doctors do have to be careful about prescribing them, so you aren't going to find a doctor that will just be carefree and throw prescriptions at you. Learn more Ritalin details here. Learn more Adderall details here. Does anyone know of a doctor in this area that they can recommend? ## Looking for dr. in NE Indiana that prescribes Ritalin/adderall without doing pharmacy checks, and doesnt give yo...

I have been taken off soma by my pain doc in Sarasota. Does anyone know a pain doc in Sarasota, Bradenton, St Petersburg or Tampa Florida who still writes them? Skelaxin makes me have nausea & vomiting, on flexeril I fell asleep driving and nearly crashed, baclofen did the same with sleepiness. Please help, I'm so uncomfortable. I was on soma for 17 years. My primary will write them, but won't write my pain meds so I'm stuck. ## Have you asked your primary care doctor about still prescribing them for you, while you receive pain medications elsewhere? Unless you have a pain management contract that forbids it, or are trying to double up on controlled substances, you can receive medications from more than one doctor, at a time. The FDA warns that Soma is commonly abused, a...

Walgreens and Cvs in Tampa FL are not carrying oxycodone or dilaudid. Most pharmacys will fill for cash. I am disgusted. ## Walgreens pharmacy manager just told me that they will only fill opiate perscriptions from pain management dr's for a maximum of 6 months. ## I really can't blame you for being so frustrated with this whole situation going on in Florida. The number of patients in the entire state who are going through this, only appears to be rising rather quickly. Is this the case too, with 'Mail Order' services through Walgreens or CVS? I wouldn't be surprised if many pain patients left the state of Florida just to make life a little easier. ## I went to Walgreen's as well as a host of others and they said the manufacturer is backordered on thm. My scrip i...

Dear friends. I too am in the same situation. I live in the Tampa area of Florida. It seems that the powers that be are choking off the supply of these drugs. I am now trying to get oxy from Optumrx, a mail order pharmacy. I did receive my meds last month a week late. Now they have changed the rules to a 80% ER and a 20% IR. I understand that they will eventually taper me off to no pills at all! That's not acceptable as I live with chronic pain. I am looking into changing my meds to a more available med. To everyone out there I "FEEL YOUR PAIN". But it's not going to get any better, so try to find a substitute drug. I blame the medical profession for getting me on these addictive drugs. I can take the pain but the withdrawal is worse and dangerous. We are screwed because of
