My husband and I just moved to Valrico, FL and I'm looking for a doctor that would help with his methadone maintaince. My husband is taking 150mg and has to go all the way to tampa everyday. the problem is he is starting to work early mornings and by the time he gets a ride and comes back he is barley making it to work on time(if traffic is good). He wants the job but he isn't going to be able to maintain the job especially when he has to go out of town for several days at a time soon.he's taking the methadone due to a neck fracture from serveral years ago so he isn't a "junkie" looking for a new fix. Before it was easier to go to the clinics everyday, now its becoming a nuisance for the job and myself. We need this job to support our family . It would help if an...

My mother in law just moved down here from SC. She's in need of a GOOD pain management doctor as she has had 2 back surgeries and has had a broken skull 3 times. She's on SSI and Medicaid. ## Hello, Bella! How is she doing? Since she is on Medicaid, the easiest way to get her the help she needs will most likely be by getting her in with a new PCP, then having them refer her to a PM specialist. Does anyone know of any good doctors in that area? ## I have been on oxycodone 10mg 4×day, for 5 years. I have had 3 neck surgeries, one back surgery, a hip replacement, and I have arthritis all over... including my spine. My doctor suddenly stopped the oxycodone and gave me xtampza 13mg, 2× daily. Not only am I in severe pain, I am dizzy and have blurry vision. Any thoughts? Can...

I need a physician in tampa fla who prescribes xanax ## In most cases, due to the new laws that went into effect at the beginning of the year, if you require it for long-term treatment, you'll be required to see a specialist, such as a Psychiatrist. Except for in certain rare cases, severe restrictions are being placed on how long general practitioners can prescribe such medications. Have you taken it before via a doctor's prescription? Do you have a doctor that you see regularly that may be able to refer you somewhere? Learn more Xanax details here. ## I asked you before, what are these new laws? Are these new State laws? What are the new prescribing limits from the General Practitioner? Xanax has not been re classified or scheduled in our Country. Do you have any links availab...

New to the area and looking for a doctor who won't be a pain about prescribing Ritalin or Adderall for adult ADHD. ## Well, the best thing you can do is to make an appointment with a new doctor and not ask for any particular medication up front. You need to get in for an appointment first and then discuss your treatment options. However, since these are controlled substance medications, doctors do have to be careful about prescribing them, so you aren't going to find a doctor that will just be carefree and throw prescriptions at you. Learn more Ritalin details here. Learn more Adderall details here. Does anyone know of a doctor in this area that they can recommend? ## Looking for dr. in NE Indiana that prescribes Ritalin/adderall without doing pharmacy checks, and doesnt give yo...

"The government is here to help" Pleeeeeezzzz! You can blame the government in their zeal to protect the common irresponsible drug addict and you the responsible consumer with chronic pain can live with your pain! The society is devolving to the lowest common denominator and we are all to blame for electing people who say they want to help but really want to control us! You will find almost no help, no pharmacy or doctor wants to deal with you because of the major government intrusion. Good luck! ## Bravo!!! Now that is saying it like it is. I have had the same Dr. for nine years. Have felt like I finally found one who cared. Since all the changes now, he is different. I brought up that the M367s that the pharmacy switched to a few months ago are not doing what they are supposed...

I've been taking 2mg sub a day for the past year. I've had a few bumps in the road over the past year and my sub Dr has been very patient. I'm going to run out before my next refill. I'm scared and I'm sorry if this against the board rules. ## This is why they have contracts. You should tell the doctor if your pain is still not being managed. Taking more than what is prescribed is not good, and is why the rest of us end up paying. "Sorry"? Your doctor is NOT going to give you any extra, because his license to practice, is on the line. They have heard every story..."they fell out of my purse", "I dropped some in the sink". No sympathy at all. It's up to you to report, that you are still in pain. Deciding to medicate yourself more, without g...

Where can I get my oxycodone 15mg filled in tampa area. Last month I had the dr switch me from 30mg to 15mg because the 30s were hard to get. So last month I go to Walgreens got the 15mg no problem But now this month I can't get any went to 5 pharmacies nothing. Is this happening to the 15mg too. Please. Help ## It's just an overall shortage, due to the fact that the manufacturing limits for the year have been met. Last month the pharmacy probably still had some of the 15mg tablets in stock, because there weren't as many prescriptions for them, but no doubt there were many other doctors who had the same idea yours did, so the supply was depleted. The best advice we can give is to talk to your doctor about using an alternative medication, in the meantime. Production will retu...

I have a friend whom was in an accident. She broke vertebrate's but is having no luck finding a good Dr. Please if anyone can recommend a Dr. in the Tampa, Orlando, Fl area. She already has been mis-diagnosed and they had her wearing a neck brace that was not her size so no healing in her neck. She does not have a primary Dr. Please if you can help it would be a blessing. ## Hi, Paul! Sorry about what your friend is going through. However, getting herself a GP is really going to be her necessary first step here, in order to get quality care. Things are so crazy on the east coast now, especially in Florida, that in order to get most other doctors to help her, she's going to need to be referred by a primary. tampa er to be given dilaudid for migraine ? ## I'm sorry, but ERs and doctors don't advertise according to what medications they may or may not administer. Dilaudid is generally the first line treatment choice for severe migraines, but there are no guarantees that any ER will administer it. Learn more Dilaudid details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
