I just started Humira in the last 2 weeks and I feel like my allergies are going nuts. My whole body is swelling. After reading some of your side effects this is somewhat normal. Does the swelling of legs, face, etc. go away? I went to the general practitioner to get something for my allergies. She seems to think its my body reacting to the Humira. ## Hello, Mic! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. That could be the sign of an allergic reaction to it. It should go away, in a few weeks, however, it most likely means that you shouldn't continue with Humira, as such reactions tend to worsen with repeated exposure. Taking Januvia for years. Developed severe itching my dermatologist said stop taking it. How long till itching stops. ## If you were on it for that long, it may take a month or so, for the side effects to fully wear off and for your body to settle down and return to normal. Since it is used to treat diabetes, have you replaced it with anything else? You can't just stop a medication like this, since you still need to control your blood sugar. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence and hypoglycemia.

I am taking Novomix30, 12 units and 8 units in the morning and night respectively along with VildaGliptin 50mg and Metformin 500 mg in the morning and night (two times) regularly. My blood sugar was 8.3(fasting)before taking this medication. Before this medication I was under treatment of Metformin 500mg once daily and low dose of Novomix30. But after the new medication prescribed the doctor I have been suffering severe dehydration which is taking away all strength. The recent dose of medication also tuned myself into a hypoglycemic. I think, my new medication is excessive according to my needs. First time when I started my diabetic treatment about 50 days ago, my fasting blood glucose was 12.7. Please suggest your opinion over my new doses of medication. My other parameters of Lipid pr...

My son is in India and he was prescribed Lariam. He has taken it for a month and has had lots of side effects. He has stopped taking it about a week ago, but he still has side effects. The strange thing is that they come on like "hot flashes" do, and then they go away, i.e. his forearm goes numb and he has chest pains. I know these are side effects of Lariam, but is it normal that these sensations come and go? ## Hello, Jessie! How is your son doing? That can happen with any side effects, just like when a medication causes headaches, it's not always one long continuous headache, but it tends to hit for awhile, then ease and so on. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly including depression, anxiety and hallucinations. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I was placed on a Pylera ten day treatment for H-Pylori, but during the course of the treatment, I felt uncoordinated, dizzy and very ill. On day 9, my left thumb started twitching, along with spasms. I ended up in the E.R. twice, but all they told me that I was ok and it would go away. The left thumb has stopped, thank GOD, but the twitching and muscle spasms have progressed and its been over a month since I immediately stopped taking the Pylera. I also have episodes of feeling uncoordinated, weakness in my legs and a lot of trouble sleeping. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had those same symptoms and what type of doctor was seen for help? ## Have you consulted your regular doctor about this? They really need to look into this and see what's causing the problem. Regul...

The main one is moderate/severe nausea sometimes several hours a day, sometimes a couple days a week; cold chills; mouth sores that sort of heal up and then get worse again.
