At a minimum, that would be 4 a day, so 15 days, however, since it is prescribed to be taken as needed, your doctor may expect it to last longer, because they may not think you will need to take 4 of them a day. I was prescribed percocet 5mg as a post surgery medication. It is labeled to take 1-2 every 4-6 hours as needed for pain, 60ct. How long should it last? ## Hmmm, I'll try doing the math two ways. First, I'll assume that you are taking the lowest possible dose, which is 1 every 6 hours. And then I'll run the numbers assuming you are taking the highest possible dose, which is 2 every 4 hours. Here we go: 1 tablet every 6 hours = 4 tablets per day. 60 tablets divided by 4 = 15 days. 2 tablets every 4 hours = 12 tablets per day. 60 tabs / 12 = 5 days. So your answer is between 5 and 15 days depending on how high and how frequent your dose is. Can someone please check my math?? (LOL) Hope you have a quick recovery! My husband has cancer stage 4. His Dr has prescribed him morphine sulfate 1 pill every 12 hrs & Oxycodone 1 pill every 4 hrs. So if he's prescribed oxycodone every 6 hours, you could give a dose, then 3 hrs later give ibuprofen, 3 hrs later give the oxycodone again...and so on. I am taking two 300 tynol/b every 4 hours. It this too much ## Manufacturer guidelines note the following... The usual adult dosage is: Acetaminophen (300mg-1000mg) 4x daily for a maximum dose of 4000mg within a 24 hour period. Codeine Phosphate (15mg-60mg) 4x daily for a maximum of 360mg within a 24 hour period. Doses may be repeated up to every 4 hours. The prescriber must determine the number of tablets per dose, and the maximum number of tablets per 24 hours based upon the above dosage guidance. Hello, I live in Arizona, where state law limits physicians to prescribe opiates for non-chronic pain at no more than a 7-day supply each month. My monthly prescription for hydrocodone is 30 pills, to be taken one Every Six Hours, only as needed. (These 30 pills are legally considered a 7-day supply). Since I don't need them very much, my prescription is refilled just twice a year, totaling 60 pills a year. I took double dose of prednisone 60mg in one day 9 hours apart for sinus infection. Should I be worried? ## I was given a 24 hr prednisone shot yesterday to help with my tight chest and coughing. I've been on 60mg of Cymgen for almost three years. It is been used to treat fibromyalgia. I came off it cold turkey 5 weeks ago with my doctor's consent. It was causing dangerously high levels of blood pressure. Two weeks in my blood pressure is back to the normal range.
