Tablets For Kidney Stone

I m 35 years male and suffering from kidney stone 4mm and uratus stone 4 mm. Doctor has started this tablet from 07 Dec 2015 and has advised me to drink 5-6 ltrs of water. I m drinking 8 ltrs water daily. U want to know. That how stones will come out. Whether they will dissolve in urine and will come out through urine way or the stone only will come out. How long it will take. Weather beer helps in treatment or not. Please intimate me. Is there any other option available other than surgery ## Drink lemon water and think about it it comes out in urine. I don't know if the medication will make it go all the way away . It usually only takes 3-4 days to pass. My prayers are with you that stuff hurts

I was prescribed 5/325 mg tablets and told to take 1-2 for pain from kidney stone surgery. I did NOT have it filled because I still had some at home. I took one about 90 minutes ago and realized that they are 10/325. Is it ok to take another one or would that be dangerous. I know nothing about pain meds. ## It would depend on your tolerance and if you're taking any other medications. For someone not used to taking opiates 20mg of Oxycodone is quite a bit. However, it's not enough, in my opinion, to worry about overdose. You'll likely just get very sleepy. If you just took a 10/325 why do you feel the need to take another so soon? I have had a laser treatment done for kidney stones about 6 weeks ago, then had a stent for the heart 2 weeks ego. I passing a lot of blood and also very painful. My father turned 74 on May 2, he had a kidney stone broke up with the laser procedure and a stint put in to help him pass the pieces of the broken up stone. His doctor gave him Percocet 7.5 with directions of "take 1 to 2 pills every 4 hours as needed for pain. He's taken 35 pills in the span of (Friday 3p.m. to now Wednesday night 11p.m.) and he still has 15 more left. Is this too many or too much for him to be taking? ## That averages out to not quite 6 pills a day, so he is taking them as directed according to prescribing info you've provided. The Doctor prescribed me this apo-sulfatrim ds 800/160mg, 84tab for 42 days. This is antibiotic and im worried that it will damage my kidney. Should i take all this 84 tablets? ## Hello, Connie! How are you? Do you have a kidney problem? If so, this antibiotic should not be taken. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. If you do not have an existing kidney problem, it can be taken, but you should be advise to drink plenty of water, unless you're on medical fluid restriction, because it has been known to cause kidney stones.

I have been taking Drotin M since 5 days - 3 tablets per day for kidney stone pain. I wanted to know for how many more days can I take this tablet, my kidney stone has just reached near the bladder and would take few more days to move out completely. I was prescribed: medrol dose pak VICODIN 5/500 and Motrin 800 mg tablets recently for a kidney stone by an emergency Dr in SFCA. I have been taking three D 500 CAL tablets per day for the last two years. This was prescribed to me for high PTH and low calcium. The condition is now normal. I have been told that this supplement will continue for maintenance. Is there any risk of kidney stone formation if I continue this dose? Hi I am 40 years old and have trouble sleeping since I was a child due to horrible pain inv my legs and hips. I have gone 3 full days before with no sleep because the pain is so bad. I had some kidney stones removed just before Christmas and was prescribed norco 10-325. I broke those tablets in half and after the second day I realized that the pain I have suffered with for over 20 years was relieved with this medication. I take 2 5mg oxycodone tablets 3 times a day for the last two years., sometimes a couple extra over that. I had a disk problem with major pain. My back has been doing much better for about 8 months now, I can actually walk again without my left leg giving out on me. Now my problem is I can't get off these damn things. I had tapered a couple months ago down to nothing and didn't have the awful withdrawal symptoms I have heard about, some discomfort but not terrible.
