I experience weakness in legs within 5 minutes of walking. The trouble started 2 months ago with swelling of legs diagnosed as edema. I am 83 years old. The physician advised bandage, legs elevation and Ducal in/Eucalmin. No improvement. Another doctor advised leg exercises and Nurokind. I have not tried it yet for I want correct information. I am having prostate problems for which I am taking Sildura as advised by my urologist. Urine passing is normal. Please advise how I can regain strength to walk and whether Nurokind is useful? ## I am 72yrs diabetic and hyper tension. Presently using Glycomet SR 500 mg morning and night 1000 mg feeling weakness in legs and cushion feeling while walking. Can I use Nurokind G once in a day.

I have this funny weakness/pain that occurs just below the left knee. I feel like my leg will give way and it will collapse. What could be causing this all of a sudden? Thst is the best way I can describe what is happening.When I walk, all of a sudden it feels like it is giving way. It doesn't really hurt but there is definetly a funny feeling/tingle/weak pain. Elequis problems I forgot to mention. I now have Periphial neuropathy, stiff joints in the morning, tremendous depression that destroys my well being and can't sleep very well. I started taking Fenofibrate 17 days ago. Every since then I have been in bed weak, nauseous, shaking, sudden onset of hot flashes, stomach and rib cramps and sweating something fierce! I thought I had the flu but never ran a temp and it just doesn't feel like the flu. Today I have been SO weak and it is scaring me. I am almost positive it is the Fenofibrate! I take Eliquis. Side effects: I have Periphial neuropathy, thinning hair atrophy of mucus in arms, weak legs, depression, insomnia, bad balance, bruise easily, dry skin, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stiffness in morning, pain in legs in the morning. ## According to FDA reports, it has been known to cause some of these symptoms as side effects, such as the pain, high blood pressure, and easy bruising, but not most of the others. I started taking Nasonex to help clear up an inner ear blockage. Within 30 minutes of taking the spaying it into both nostrils, I became completely fatigued, dizzy and disoriented. It was most noticeable as I stood up and began walking. It felt like something was wrong and I felt anxious and my heart was racing. I checked my blood pressure and blood sugar but they were both normal. I felt better the next morning. I sprayed each nostril in the morning without a noticeable side effect. So I figured that same evening it should be alright to continue. The same symptoms recurred from the previous night, and improved only slightly by bedtime. I took 500mg Keflex for 28 days for a cyst back in September 2013. The cyst did not respond so I was sent to an infectious disease doctor who said I had P. Mirabilis infection and he changed my antibiotic (That one didn't work either). Long story short.. during the use of the Keflex my leg muscles became very weak and sore. They are still weak and sore and getting worse. I told my doctor the backs of my legs felt so tight like the muscles were stretched too far like rubber bands. If I get a little breathless I get a nasty pain high up in my back, also happens if I carry something heavy. X-rays are normal. This started when I started Felodipine 2.5mg. I feel weak and so tired. BP is 120-140,pulse 50-65. I want to stop this drug, I have tried amlodiplne, lercanidipine- more side effects, also on bisoprolol. I take a lot of meds for chronic pain and inhalers for shorness of breath (copd). Something causes leg weakness and hip fatigue. Any guesses? ## Without knowing the specific medications, it is going to be difficult for anyone to help you. These symptoms could be caused by many different medications. Can you please post back with more information? ## Sure: meds include; hyrocodone, morphine, nuerontin, for pain. albuterol, spiriva and pulmicort inhalers for SOBreath. I have been taking Xalkori since the end of May 2012. In the first 30 days, I had trouble keeping food down, lost 20 lbs and felt VERY sick. Praise God, I am on Zofran for the nausea and am keeping food down. I have started to feel better, much better than a few weeks ago.... But still get fatigued easy and overall feel weak. I am 50 years old. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it gets better. ## I don't have personal experience, but I can tell you that those are normal side effects with most of these types of medications. I have been advised to take Losartan for mild heart failure .Have been increased the dosage from 25 to 50 but feel really tired and weak . Is this usual? ## Hello, Sunrise! How are you? Yes, this medication is often used to help with heart function when someone has heart failure, I take it myself. And yes, it can cause those types of symptoms as side effects, but the heart failure itself could also be causing them. After getting serious about taking my medications within 2 weeks I noticed weakness in my back and tingles up my spine suddenly I became dizzy and very weak I feel as if I lack judgement of distance when walking, my muscles are also twitching all over, I have pain in my arms and legs. ## I too have muscle weekness. My caridologist just prescribed Dilitiazem for tachycardia and I have taken just two doses. This morning on my morning walk I had difficulty climbing a hill that I have climbed daily for the last five years. I know this is from the Dilitiazem.
