is lomotil I'm the opiate family? ## Hello, Chris! How are you? It is related to an opiate, but not directly one itself. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, bloating flatulence and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have IBS for many years now and recently been told I have Diverticulitis. Last 2 days I am suffering with Diarrhoea 8 n 9 times a day. Last night I took 2 Lofenoxal. Then this morning it all started again been 4 times already. Its taking too much out of me my back pain is also severe. All I want to do is sleep. I am due to go overseas but how can I? adverse reactions of lomotil ## Hi, Overtake of lomotil cause serious problems : Stomach pain or bloating; Ongoing or worsening diarrhea Diarrhea that is watery or bloody Numbness in your hands or feet Depressed mood Confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior Fast heart rate; or urinating less than usual or not at all It is important that you see doctor as soon as you experience any of the above mentioned symptoms. i am in India and suffering from distal Ulcerative colitis from last 13 -14 years, i am 27years old and from last 7 to 8 year i have been taking Lomotil 1 or 2 tabs every daycause to control diarrea, and from last 3 years i have been taking 1/2 tab of lomotil every morning with mesacol 400mg - ulcerative colitis, and Glyde tabs - for piles, is this dose harmfull for me in FUTURE or should i stop talking lomotil cause of side effects.. HELP ME

Can these two pills be taken at the same time? I have IBS and take Lomotil as needed and my dr. prescribed Methylprednlsolone for my sinus infection. Can these be taken together? If I'm allergic to sulfa can I take lomotil? I had a reaction to the sulfa salt in Levbid. My sulfa allergy is bad enough that I have to watch what vegetables I eat. I'm also allergic to latex, eggs, cleocin, flagyl. I'm not sure which sulfate I'm allergic to. Also am hypersensitive to sulfides and can't drink wine. I don't attempt beer because I have celiacs. Just thought if I provided all my allergies, you might see a common thread. My allergies are bad enough I have an epi pen ## Hi Angela, Based on my research, Lomotil does contain a sulfa-based active ingredient (atropine sulfate)... So I'd say it is something to stay away from if you have a sulfa allergy. I also wasn't aware that there were so many types of sulfa/sulfur/sulfate allergies? But an art...

My wife is suffering from loose motions that have been very watery since yesterday. Showed her Doctor who prescribed Ofloxacin ornidazole plus acidity tablets and lomotil tab SOS. Even after this she is having loose motions. Doc says it will take three days. What should I do to prevent her loose motions?

It works well for me unless my Crohn's disease is in an active state.

Front is 93 back is 9652 pill is beige/peach in color..round tablet...looks like its coated because its white inside. thanking you in advance. ## I dont know the answer to that question that is why I am trying to find out what this or these pills I found are in my house. ## is loperamida the same medication as lomotil? Used for Diarrhea ## NO! Lomotil contains the active ingredients Diphenyoxylate and Atropine. Loperamide is the active ingredient/generic name for Immodium, so they are completely different drugs.
