Itching painful scabs developed about two months ago,i work as a live in caregiver to an elderly,im there 4 days q week 24 hours a day.when I come home,it seems like they get a little better.I sleep on the sofa at work, thought it might be bedbugs or allergy to material but I've been there for 2 years so IDK. ## OK,no one has ever had before, maybe this will help someone.i took a few pictures of my back and sent to my doctor. He said it looks like scabies and ordered a zpak and Lindane lotion.apply from neck down to the bottom of the feet.Hope you never have to go through this, wasnt fun. ## That would be odd, usually scabies covers the entire body from the neck down and it forms angular patterns that may resemble geometric shapes, or letters... and an antibiotic, such as the Z Pak is n...

I am a 36 yr old woman that has suspected that I have RA for over 15 yrs. I finally went to see a rheumatologist last year in November. She ordered x rays for my hands, feet, and jaw/upper spine. Found out that the top 4-5 vertebrae in my neck are fused together, which now explains the severe lack of mobility and severe pain I've had in my neck for 15+ yrs. I am in recovery (clean and sober for 3 yrs last september) so opioid/narcotic pain management is not an option for me. I've taken Flexeril in the past and found it very helpful at the end of a long, hard day. So I brought this up with my Rheumatologist and she wrote a prescription for 45/10mg flexeril with one refill. I recently ran out of refills so I had my pharmacy contact my Rheumatologists office. After 2 days with no r...

Have Been Experience Upper Back Inflammable Disorder For the Past 2month until yesterday when infammables started around the neck and behind and fore brain Please Advice ## If this is still hurting you, my suggestion is to seek out a doctor who treats something called Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. A pain doctor or rheumatologist should be the right doc but you might have to try more than one doctor because it is often misdiagnosed. If you search for it on the web you will learn about it. Good luck.

My pain management Dr. Has been giving me botox injections in my neck and upper back ,as a result I am in worse pain can't move my neck ,my head wants to lean to the left, can't have anyone touch my upper back, and I have to take more pain meds. Is this a bad reaction? First it was Botox and now same type of injection but different name. I am going to refuse to get anymore. Are these bad side effects? ## Added message:please give me an answer my upper back and neck are causing me a lot of pain. Thank you in advance! ## Hello, Patti! How are you? Yes, it sounds like you may be experiencing some bad side effects. The FDA does list that as being possible, though most people don't experience such issues. I had neck surgery in 2016 and immediately after surgery I developed a severe burning pain in my left should and down the upper part of my arm. Had xrays, CT's, shows a little arthritis, but this was from surgery. Can't find a doctor that can tell me what is wrong and what to do. I have been living with this pain almost 3 years and can hardly lift arm. Don't know what else to do. ## It sounds like you might have nerve damage from the surgery, or from the problem that made the surgery necessary, unfortunately, that is a risk with almost all surgeries. You can learn more about it on the NCBI website. Have you consulted a neurologist, yet? They are usually the best person to consult in such cases. ## Thank you. Yes I have consulted with neurologist they have no idea what is wr...

It is normal for your body to get used to dosage of any medication, when you have been taking it for a long time and for it not to work as well, anymore. In addition, the Acetaminophen can have a detrimental effect on the liver, so it could also be a good idea for you to be switched to some...

I am a woman of 49 years old and am having pain in the neck, shoulder and my arms for quite some time. The pain is worse in the upper arms and they are numb at night and have a tingling sensation in my feet as well. Am not suffering from diabetes. My fasting blood sugar was 5.4 last time I had a blood test.. My sleep pattern has been very erratic lately. When I wake up at night I feel hot, very anxious and my hands start burning which give me a very bad sensation. Went to see an orthopaedic surgeon who after an xray has found that I have cervical spondylosis. Is it normal to continue to have pain the arm, neck and shoulder practically everyday. I have noticed that the pain gets worse when I have problems and feeling depressed. ## how mix paracetamol, b1 , b6, b12 and how much dosage ## ...

so i have been taking methylprednisolone for three days. I am having pain in my sides/ribs upper back and all the way into my neck and some of my cheek bones. the pain is about a 5 out of 10 on the scale. I have had this problem before with prednisone. what do i do? ## Hello, Courtney! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. The FDA classifies this medication as a steroid and it can cause some pretty annoying side effects, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, headache, acne and weight gain. Have you consulted your doctor? They may have some idea on how to mitigate these effects, or they can let you know if there is something else going on. How long is your course of treatment with it?

I've been suffering from chronic pain issues since 2006. I recently started going to a new clinic since January of this year. I have fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, neck issue's, spine problems that start from my neck down my upper middle and lower spine, nerve damage in my left arm that starts from my neck down my upper arm and in the hands & fingers. The pain is horrible and never goes away, this includes my entire body, along with insomnia, depression, anxiety, RA, arthritis, carpal tunnel and from time to time it causes shooting pain in my legs. Also for my anxiety I get 90 clonazep g and methacarbamol for back spasms. So far this regime seems to help but 6 dilaudid a day along with 1 30mg oxycontin and 1 kadian are barely getting me through the month. I ...

I have been in pain management for a long time due to a congenital cervical fusion which caused the need for a 2 level surgical intervention in 2009 at C3/4 & C4/5..That area remains pain free but all the pain moved up to base of my skull, C1/2 & C2/3 & all muscles on both sides of my neck & upper back, myofascial pain. So, my pain Dr. is decreasing patients dosages due to the new FDA rules. I am now going on my 3rd day of severe neck pain, ruined Christmas, and am ready for a bullet. I have been on & tried every therapy, medication, acupuncture, biofeedback, traction, tens unit, you name it I have done it several times. I have had no life for so long, dont go out, dont even want to talk on phone, its horrible. And now this decrease in dosage I might as well be on no...

No one should ever have too suffer! What type of doctor have you been seeing? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the management of chronic pain, you'll need to see a specialist. Do you have a PCP? If you can have them refer you to someone, that would likely be the quickest way to get the help you need. ## Are there any doctors willing to prescribe pain meds in Montana? Hello, my wife began a rash on her hand that spread to the arm and then the other arm, neck, and upper chest. Deep pain and weakness began about 2 weeks into the rash. Doctors were consulted in Comoros where we live, blood tests done. Even the doctors said testing is not good here so we traveled to Nairobi. 2 doctors, several blood tests and meds later she is still not well. Latest doc says muscle infection and prescribed Prednisone and Nexium. We are concerned about steroid side effects. Doc prescribed these because of a CPK level of 616. Thank you for any advice! ## Hello Chris! Who is your wife doing? What did they give her for the infection? Is she on an antibiotic? I get occassional upper backache and sometimes stiffness in neck. I was prescribed a drug named benfage forte [ Contents : benfotiamine , inositol , alpha- lipoic acid , mecobalamin , pyridoxine hydrochloride ] . Whether I can take this medicine as a vitamin intake or is this medicine applied for specific condition. will appreciate if anyone can give me some details for understanding. Thank you ## uses and clinical history of benfo forte ## It contains mainly Vitamin B1 and B12 in a difference. Benfotiamine (another form of B1) is fat-soluble and absorbed easily in the body than B1-thiamin. Similarly, mecobalamine (methyl cobolamine) helps better than normal B12. While all ages can take this, older people have better effect for pain related arthiritis, sciatica and other forms of nerve ...

I had twins 10 months ago and since have had intense neck and upper back pain. Had an mri that found degenerative disc and facet disease, a bulging and hernaited disc etc. Have been getting norco from gyno for past 6months and it helps so much during the day so i can take care of twins. Been to two pain docs who will only give ibuprofen and muscle relaxers. I feel like they are not listening to me. Last one said im too young for the hydrocodone or surgery! Thats not acceptable to me. Any one have luck with docs in this area?
