As I am suffering from cold,running nose,sneezing I took 2 spoons of brandy for 3 days continously in the night times.But my cold has not reduced.So please suggest me some good tablest to reduce cold.Also how many times should I take cetzine tablet in a day and so far there is no relief from cold. ## Colds are generally self-limiting and you don't need to take anything for them. I'm also not sure what you thought Brandy was going to do. I was prescribed Clarithromycin 14 x 500mg by my doctor at Christmas for a cold that seemed to be developing into a chest infection. I didn't want to be ill during Christmas so I got the prescription dispensed. In the event I didn't need to take it but the flu I now have has developed into a chest infection. Normally I am prescribed 250mg twice daily for 7 days. Could I take 500mg once per day for 7 days or should I cut the 500mg pill and take it as 250mg twice daily. I am concerned about compromising the efficiency of the treatment. Any advice? ## What are the instructions on the prescription? Hi this is padma..i get married 4 months before..i have dought for this okacet tablets..can i used this tablet for cold,, fever,bodypains... any side effects whenn am gettign pregnent time..i was some fear about this tablets.. ## Well from what I know okacet contains cetrizine which is an anti histamine. Hence it is meant to be taken to temporarily drive away symptoms of allergies like a runny nose, itching and watering of the eyes. Don't think it helps any with fever and body pains. Take a paracetamol to deal with that. Side effect is mainly drowsiness but might cause a heavy head and headache. Won't affect ur fertility or chances of pregnancy. Not to worry.
