My 90 year old mother has short term memory problems - badly! She claims the pill for pain that Dr. recently prescibed (Ibuprofen 600mg LEG) makes her confused. I am familiar with Ibuprofen, but I do not know what the LEG stands for. Does this prescription drug contain any narcotic? Or is it just Ibuprofen? What does the LEG stand for? Thanks! ## Hello, Bob! How are you? How is your mother doing? The LEG is just an abbreviation for the manufacturer of the tablet, so this is just Ibuprofen. Learn more Ibuprofen details here. what is the difference in the pink pils with c 74 on them and the white pills I have always been given? ## I can't really say anything with certainty, without knowing the markings on the white tablets. However, it is most likely that your pharmacy has just provided you with the same medication, but the tablets look different and have different markings, because they have been manufactured by a different company. Metoprolol is a generic medications, so it made by several different companies and it is normal for your pharmacy to change which one they carry, depending on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. Did you try asking as the pharmacy?

I take a pill twice a day. Is each pill 50 mg, or combined they equal 50mg? ## Hi Connie, What is the imprint on the pills that you take? There are 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg pills available. Based on your description I can only assume that they are 50mg, but would need to look up the imprint for verification. If you are taking this medication for high blood pressure, the usual dosage for metoprolol is extremely patient specific and should be individualized. The typical initial dosage of metoprolol is 100 mg daily in a single or divided dose as determined by your health care provider. The dose may then be increased weekly until the goal blood pressure is achieved. The dosage range for metoprolol is 100-450 mg per day. You should consult with your doctor to determine which dose of metoprolol ...

Would like to know if you get leg cramps following taking Torsimide, Also was told that Fluid pills, namely Lasix is dangerous when taken with blood pressure meds,(Enalaprel)... Would appreciate any infor. Thanks ## There are dangers associated with combining them, but they happen very rarely and diuretics are often combined with blood pressure medications, the dangers are most often associated with people that have severe, active cardiac conditions, such as congestive heart failure. The usual doses, for a person that is regularly monitored by their doctor very rarely cause any dangerous issues. As to the leg cramps, there are 2 reasons those might be occurring, or they could be from a combination of both. The medication may be causing you to become dehydrated, or it may have caused you...

What does the "LEG" mean on the prescription bottle immediately following the dosage (20 MG TAB LEG)? This was for acid reflux medication, nothing to do with legs. ## I found the answer. LEG means Lower Esophageal-Gastrointestinal (symptoms, treatment). The medication was for severe heartburn and acid reflux. ## Thanks for the helpful feedback Bruce! Just out of curiosity, which medication are you taking exactly? At first glance I was under the unique impression that LEG might've been an abbreviation for the active ingredient (since I don't normally see the indications mentioned on a prescription bottle - typically just the drug name in my experience), but what you have found certainly makes sense - especially if the medication was prescribed for a related condition.
