DAVA ALPRAZOLAM IS AN INEFFECTIVE DRUG. I EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS TO THE PHARMACIST AND HE COULD NOT EVEN REMEMBER WHO THE MANUFACTURE WAS. HE TOLD ME ,"THE DEA TELLS ME WHAT I CAN ORDER." SO I CHANGED PHARMACIES BUT I AM CONTINUING TO PURSUE THIS WRONG DOING. IT'S UNETHICAL...NOT WHAT LICENCED PHARMACISTS SHOULD BE DOING AT "MISIR" IN NAPLES, FL. ## Hello, Brina! How are you? I am sorry about the problem you've experienced. It isn't the DEA that tells him what he can order, whenever he needs to restock his supply, he gets the medication manufactured by whichever company is offering the cheapest price through the supplier that the store uses. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea,...

If med has expired, does that mean it's ineffective? Or stronger? Mine expired 10/09. Thank you. ## Hi Teri, Certain drugs are actually okay to take after expiration, whereas others such as antibiotics can become toxic. Tussionex contains a combination of Chlorpheniramine + Hydrocodone. My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been over 2 years old. It may still be effective, but not nearly as potent. It's also impossible to give a direct answer to this question, since each medication can effect people differently. We all know that it's better to avoid the expired drugs and stay on the safe side, but unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it. As far as side effects go for this medication, I'd recommend fol...

I am using ENCORATE CHRONO 500mg, along with Clonazepam I.P. 0.25mg & Phenytoin sodium I.P. 100mg, for last four years, please tell me the side effects of these in my longterm future. ## I know this is a broad answer to your question, but no one can really honestly tell you how this drug is going to effect you in the future, as they are not you. Not even "you" know how it's going to effect you until you take it. Medications can and usually do affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others whom it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take or how often they take it. If you've been taking these medications over the past four years without any problems or side effects then in my opinion you should be fine....

Hi. My 18 year old son has AML with flt-3 gene mutation. He has been using a low dose of Nexavar 200mg 2x/day for 2 weeks. It seems to be working after 6 courses of chemo treatments had been ineffective. However, the side effects are severe; nausea, vomiting & diarrhea. Does anyone have any advice on what worked for them? We stay in South Africa, so medications available are quite limited. Looking forward to hearing from others in a similar situation. Kind regards.

Interested in hearing about side effects. I have had hip and leg pain after 3 days of taking Astepro. When I stopped the Astepro, the pain disappeared in 2 days. ## It would be a good idea to stop taking it. Find a doctor who prescribes opioids for pain, not someone who gives you ineffective meds just so that you don't potentially become dependent. Just my opinion. ## I took Astepro just one time. My nose was all stuffed up, around my eyes felt swelled up. I had really bad lines forming in my laugh lines. My nose remained stuffed up for about 5 more days after using one spray in each nostril. I could still breath thru my nose though. Most of my taste was gone. Now one corner of my mouth has something wrong with it. It feels like a split but there's no split and it feels really t...

I am taking Clonidine for an off label use to treat Bruxism(teeth clenching at night). Currently 0.2mg just at night ,but considering trying 0.3mg. My questions are 1) I've heard some people develop a tolerance to Clonidine after taking it for a longtime(so it becomes ineffective and the dose must be increased or treatment stopped). How long can I take before I should take a break ,so I don;t develop this tolerance? 2) If I take 0.3mg and then want to stop taking it , if i reduce my dose by 0.05(half a tablet) every 3-4 days should that avoid rebound hypertension ? My doctor said withdrawal and tolerance are not problems at all so i can stop cold when i want, but don;t think it is a drug she has experience prescribing (only prescribed it as I suggested trying it ,from studies I had ...

I am 54 and my doctor prescribed Angeliq for atrophic vaginitus. Other non-systemic topical treatments were ineffective. I have been on it for 6 days and my main side effects are interrupted sleep and a mild headache. How long does it usually take for side effects to subside if they do subside at all? ## Generally, about 4 weeks or so, they should improve and subside, once your body gets used to the medication. The NIH lists other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and mood changes. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## Hi there, thank you for the response. It's day 10 and it's becoming apparent that the side effects are constantly changing. The dull headache just vanished and my usual almost daily headaches (bane of my life) have not put in an...

I've been taking Xanax brand name for panic attacks and anxiety as needed, not regularly, for the past five years. I've never increased my dose of frequency of taking this med at any point, and am not physically dependent at all. Up until last month ago, the label had always said it was manufactured by "Pharmacia" or "Pharmacia/Upjohn". For years they worked fantastically with no sleepiness or other side effects. I was totally functional. I was shocked when--at some point last month--I took my Xanax to ease panic and did not notice any relief at all in terms of my mental state. Instead, I felt physically hot, dizzy, sweaty, and as if all motivation had been sucked out of my body. It was a terrible feeling in addition to the panic. I thought it was just a bad coin...

One side has a "P" Other side has a "O-M" or "W-O" Small round pink pill ## My finding does not pose an exact match to your description, but represents the closest match I could find using the imprint "P O-M" (no results came up with O-W). The imprint P O-M is identified as "Ortho tri-cyclen lo inert". The active ingredients in this pill are ethinyl estradiol + norgestimate, which are used to treat birth control. NOTE: this pill is actually identified as being green; but it is important to know that the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, and therefore the color of the pill doesn't always match up with the finding. Cholestyramine Drug Index

Colestyramine (INN) or cholestyramine (USAN) (trade names Questran, Questran Light, Cholybar, Olestyr) is a bile acid sequestrant, which binds bile in the gastrointestinal tract to prevent its reabsorption. It is a strong ion exchange resin, which means it can exchange its chloride anions with anionic bile acids in the gastrointestinal tract and bind them strongly in the resin matrix. The functional group of the anion exchange resin is a quaternary ammonium group attached to an inert styrene-...

No, none of the others are really as good as the Soma. The closest might be Skelaxin, which contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, so you may want to ask your doctor about trying it. to lose fat ## Lipozene is an over the counter supplement product that they claim can help with weight loss. It is listed as containing Konjac Root, which they say is a water soluble fiber that expands in the stomach to make someone feel full, so they eat less. Thus, it's also easy to see how it might be risky to use for some people that have certain medical conditions. Additionally, there are many complaints posted online saying that it is ineffective and not worth trying. Anyone considering trying it should make sure to proceed with caution and do a lot of research, so they make a fully informed decision, before ordering. Are there any questions or comments?
