My daughter is 2 & 1/2 year having cough problem. Doctor has suggested 1 AL syrup 2.5 ml one time dose for 15 days I just want know is there any side effect of this syrup. For congestion ## Pannaz Syrup was prescribed to my son when he was 3 1/2. It was the answer to our prayers after 3 yrs of constant ear infections, pus draining constantly from his ears, numerous respiratory infections including pneumonia & bronchitis. In the first 2 yrs of his life, he had 3 sets of tubes and adenoids removed, by 3 1/2 had been on over 65 rounds of antibiotics, was shunned by daycares for pus drainage and the list goes on. After being dx'ed w/ all environmental allergies and being rx'ed Pannaz, things literally stopped happening! Is Fedac syrup safe for babies? There are arguments re the medication because of a baby vomitting after being fed with it. The child's father was told by another doctor that Fedac should be given to children 2 years and above. ## I am not sure which syrup you are referring to, since there are two, however, that is correct from the information listed, none are listed with dosaged for us in children under 2 years of age. Fedac syrup contains Pseudoephedrine, Tripolidine and there is one that also includes Codeine, which is a narcotic. There is concern over adults using Pseudoephedrine and Codeine, so they are generally not recommended in children. According to Diamondback Drugs and Pet Education the most frequently seen side effects from Torbutrol (torb val syrup) are sedation, loss of appetite and diarrhea; it also can cause a slower heart rate. I would like to know the amount of hydrocodone in a teaspoon dose ## I cannot say that definitively, there are several dose available ranging from 1.67mg per tsp up to 30mgs per tsp.
