what is the difference between Syndopa CR & Syndopa Plus? ## It is requested to let me know the side effects of Syndopa Plus medicine. My father-in-law is suffering from Alzerma and doctor has prescribed the said medicine. By taking this medicine, is patient felt drowsiness? Or any other effect. Please let me know. My father (76 years) is suffering from imbalance during walking. So his neurologist prescribed a syndopa CR (125 mg) tablet, twice a day, and after one month he changes to a syndopa plus (125 mg) tablet. ## He should follow his doctor's instructions for the best results. The NIH lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including dizziness, nausea, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, and odd dreams. Is he on any other medications?

My mom is taking syndopa plus 110, but her doc says that she should not take any kind of vitamin tablets while taking syndopa. Is this a valid concern? ## My wife is taking syndopa 110. She is also taking cressor H, ecosprine, rosuvas 10mg and gepride. She suffered from a brain hemorrhage 18 months back and has the following problems: increased constipation, leg pain, sensation in head, weakness and occasional instability despite bp and blood sugar being in reasonable control. dyndopa cr when taken its creats Dyskinsia as per my observation time is not a factor. i weant a expert advice. ## I am a parkinsons patient since 5years. I'm taking syndopa plus tabs 3 times daily.&pacitane tablet 2mg twice daily.amicon 10mg one at night for depression. Beta blocker and card ace (remipril) for BP. Can I take alcohol/wine in limited quantity? Is there any food items I have to avoid? Is there any drug interactions with the above drugs.

my mom has been taking syndopa275, ropark(ropinirole .25 ,lioresal-10(baclofen) & b.crip 1.25 (bromocriptine mesylate i.p ) for the past 2 years .for the past 2 months she is not able to recognise even her daughters .she is 83 years old .she neednt talk .even if she gives us a recognised look we will be immensely pleased .is it because of prolonged use of drcs .please enlighten me ## I am assuming from the list of medications you provided that your mother is being treated for Parkinson's Disease or something similar to it, because that it generally what these are all used for. prescribed instead of restyl.5mg ## I am a parkinsonian since about 6/7 yrs and have been taking different medicines as per neuro's prescriptions. I had a bypass surgery procedure 3 years back. At the moment I am on Syndopa+ 6snd half tabs distributed during the day between 5 am and 7 pm and 1 syndopa cr 125 at 7 am and one syndopa cr 250 at 1030 pm. I had very little sleep for quite some time (about 3/4 hrs only) and was prescribed stilnoct 6.25 (sos basis) and was advised to take whenever I felt that i did not have sufficient sleep. I just tried taking it for some 2 tabs a week for about 3/4 weeks. Now I feel it is needed every day if I have to sleep to be fresh next morning despite tremors on account of parkinson. My mother is 80 years with Diabetes and BP (Both under control with regular medication) for over 2.5 decades. Added to this she is also a Parkinson patient and is on Syndopa 110 – 3.5 tablets & Syndopa CR 250 1.5 tablets. She has a lot of anxiety as she is physically dependant and expresses a lot of tension / stress particularly when I have to leave for office during the mornings. Her confidence level is diminishing with a fear of falling down. 24 X 7 we have one of our family members attending to her for any physical support including her visits to the rest room. My wife is suffering from PD in the age of 36 year and the doctor was advised syndopa plus, but after three years she has develop adverse effects like dyskinesia,muscle stiffness, difficulty in speech,depression,some time the drug is not responding, need your valuable suggestion. ## She's perhaps needing an increase of Syndopa+ frequency. my mother is suffering advance stage of parkinsons and had been operated DBS of this disease. dr. advised Syndopa 110 1/4 tds and pacitane 2 mg 1/2 tds and Ropark 0.25 mg bd but giving these doses she is reacting too much and if we do no give these doses she is becoming stiff and she is too much impetience on the bed then we give her Qutan 25 some times Qutan 50. In this situation she becomes in sedation then her eating and drinking problem is creating too much. Would u please guide us. She is 85 years. thanx and regards
