Swollen Hands And Back Pain

I recently started taking Mirtazapine for depression. I started at 15 mg. and this was increased to 30 mg after about four weeks. I have started to suffer almost debilitating lower back pain on a daily basis which I do understand is a rare but potential side effect. In addition, my hands are slightly swollen and any repeated use of my hands/fingers also results in severe pain. The hand pain will subside after I stop whatever I was doing. In addition, I sometimes lose feeling in my hands (almost like a lack of blood supply) and when I change their position, I experience "pins and needles". Has anyone else had this combination of symptoms? Will they resolve themselves over time or should I have my Doctor switch me to something else? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## I have sto...

I was having pain in legs from last two months which increased in the pain of both hands. I feel extreme painin my right hand, not even able to stretch it fully. I feel some nerve is paining starting from middle finger upto my elbow. Sometime my nerves of my hand feel as swollen. My B12 test reports indicate it as 294 pg/ml. Other good reports are normal. RA factor is also normal . CRP and Vit D also normal.one year before I was treated for sarcoidosis. Now the prescribed me max again er75 .along with tetrafol plus for 15 days .Want to know the relevance of the medicine and for how many days I would have to take medicine

my right hand is so swollen, all numb and very painful. the left hand is fine. anyone have this problem? Only asking because what you're describing is usually commonly associated with those types of conditions. Additionally, "swelling of the arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of Lyrica. Hi, i was put on Ciplavasv on the 20th December.. i wasn't told why.. 1 per day. My doctor prescribed Lyrica for pain I was having from a back issue, and after one day on this drug my hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles and feet were so swollen I could not function. I couldn't even cut my food or walk more than a few steps. Both my wife and I thought I wouldn't live out the month. After being seen by several doctors I was told I was having an acute auto immune response and was put on prednisone. After two months now the swelling is improving and the dosage of steroids is going down, but I still take them or the inflammation returns. I take 7.5 mg. my hands still hurt and are swollen. 2nd day to take them. I scraped glue off a floor for several days and night and my hands and fingers are so swollen and very painful . ## Merry Christmas Joyce, Sorry to hear about the pain in your hands and fingers. Scraping glue off a floor for several days/nights sounds like it would do that to just about anyone though. But I hope you're able to find some level of relief from taking the meloxicam. Based on your description, my guess is that it may be a while before the swelling subsides. However it seems like you're using the right preventative measures w/ a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug to keep it from getting any worse. I recently had to have surgery to remove a ovary and tube but in the end they removed both oavaries and both tubes. Lovely menopause as soon as I'm discharged. Doctor prescribed Angeliq. I didn't feel bad before taking it just had some major hot flashes I actually felt great. I've been on Angeliq one week and feel like crap! My hands and feet are puffy and swollen, killer headaches and joint pain in my back and legs. Should I give it more time to work? Right now I'm ready to call my doc and say enough. This is gonna get expensive trying to find one that works. Mine is temporary as in 3 months she's going back in to take the uterus and cervix. Hi. I have been prescribed epleptin for severe bone and nerve pain as well as TLE which makes me very moody, agressive, depressed, mood swings... Only been on it for 4 days and since starting my hands fingers ankles feet toes joints all over are swollen up and causing terrible pain. I cant even close my fingers as they're so swollen. I am using atolip80 for 3months now due to high cholesterollevel of 12.8. Now my neck is swollen and my tongue. Little feve and chest pain. Can the atolip be the problem. They give me atolip80 and ecotrin81mg to drink together. I'm 46 yrs old female. I had an operation last April 15, 2010. THABSO. After that i experienced numbness in my hands especially early in the morning when i wake up. my doctor told to take polynerve 500.
