I have diabetes my dr said my kidneys are normal however my liver is swollen ## Diabetes can cause organ damage, it it isn't under control, or wasn't diagnosed for awhile and was out of control. What are you current blood sugar readings? It really means that you have to use your medications, as directed by your doctor, and follow a proper diet and exercise plan to keep your blood sugar under control and prevent further damage. In a lot of cases, if they have found no other signs of problems or decreased liver function, they will not pursue treatment, but will keep an eye on it, in the future, by doing regular tests to see if it progresses or starts to become problematic. I feel so sore and swollen in my joints / eyes / hands / etc. Can this come from the use of methamphetamines? ## Hello Ron! How are you? I'm very sorry about the way you're feeling. Yes, this has been reported in those taking it, as listed by the FDA and NIH. Though it is more common to occur with withdrawals. Other effects may include insomnia, weight loss, severe dental problems and mood disorders. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi all this is my first post, I am so glad I came upon this forum, I am 56 have been on levothyroxine for 3 years, I am taking 150micrograms a day. For the past 10 week I have had what I can only discribe as dry eyes (after doing hours of reserch on the net) the last month my eyes have got much worse, they water continusly they are very blood shot they are stuck together in the morning, swollen lids and under eye. I had a blood test last week and was told to reduce my levo by 25mg, but my eyes seemed to get worse. I have decided to come of my meds all together and see if that helps this will be my thrid day without the meds please keep fingers crossed that this will help my eyes as I am so depressed with them that I won't even go out. I do not recommend that anyone come of their med...

Can itchy, red, sore swollen eyelids be a side effect of prevastatin? ## Hello, Lori! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. That sounds like it may be an allergic reaction and you should seek medical attention. If that's what it is, it may just continue to get worse. The normal side effects to this medication include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Has it improved, any?

I stopped taking my Neurontin after having what I think is an allergic reaction to the med. I was started on 100mg once a day for a week, then went to 200mg once a day for 1 week. A few days after starting the 200mg my eyes started itching, I didn't really think too much about it. Then about 3 days after I was increased to 300mg my eyes started swelling with blurred vision and runny eyes. I also couldn't understand why my throat felt as though it was shutting off and I started getting flu like symptoms and my face was swollen as well. My dr started me on eye drops with antibiotics in them, but my stayed swollen. A day or 2 later I thought that the Neurontin was the only thing new for me so I stopped taking it and my symptoms are way better. My eyes are still watery, but a lot be...

About a month ago I woke up with swollen eyelids, red eyes, no itching and had watery liquid coming out. The Ophthalmologist could not find anything wrong with the eyes and made a channel on the side of the eyes for extra fluid to drain. I was OK for a few days then both the swelling and redness came back. Went to a GP and he diagnosed me with a bacterial infection and prescribed doxycycline 100 mg two times for 15 days. I finished my antibiotic course two days ago but every morning the swelling of the eyelids (both upper and bottom) is worse in the morning and is gone by the afternoon, but the redness and watery discharge remains throughout. Again, the next day same issue. FYI - I don't have more crust upon waking up than I used to have before this condition developed. Please tell ...

I went to the doctor after having a swollen eyelid cause by pollen when I went to cherryblossom. I have light inflamation aound my eyes and the doctor told me not to put make up around my eyes. I'm just wondering if I AM REALLY NOT allowed to put make up? the thing is I go to work and school and if I don't put atleast a bb cream around my eyes to cover up the light dark marks then people might keep asking me. It will bother me a lot if all day people would ask me about my eyes. ## Hello, Aleena! How are you? The doctor told you that to try to keep you from irritating them even more. They almost always will. Thus, while it would be best not to do so, it's really up to you, in the long run. For the best outcome, you should always follow your doctor's advice. To be honest, ...

swollen eyes with big red circles arounds eyes that swell, and skin rash type of symptom in that area -- very itchy, skim peels, eyes water, some face swelling as well. Like a hyper hystamine effect of some kind? Benadryl and others don't work. ## The symptoms definitely sound like allergic reactions, but you do have to be very careful, the peeling skin can be the sign of it causing a very serious medical issue that could be life threatening. ( the blood litererly makes me look so discusting, i just want it gone asap.... any advice if this med. isn't for it?) ## This medication really won't help with that. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections and it will not help something that has not been cause by an infection. In addition, improper use could result in your developing antibiotic resistance. can i take more than 180 mg of fexofenadine my eyes are swollen and my throat is drying up i have an epi pen but am not sure when to use it ## Hello, Betty! How are you? The epi pen should be used when you have trouble breathing and you may feel like you are going to lose consciousness, or your family should know to use it, if you lose consciousness and can't communicate with them. There are training videos you can watch for them and it should be shot into the thigh. As to the Fexofenadine, while it can be taken in higher doses, it will not usually help fast enough, if you are having a severe anaphylactic reaction. In such cases, Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or your epi pen are the best choices, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, because they work much faster and could save your ...

I do not take antibiotics because of severe reactions such as swollen eyelids and other issues.and also allergic to Flagyl. and possibly Levaquin. Also I believe antibiotics are over used and so far I have done without them for things everyone else takes them for such as Flu,colds and many other things. I use herbal products without most problems but now have a couple of painful tooth issues and perhaps some infections. I have no medical records to verify this due to many years of not having insurance or finances. Hi, I got pink eye a week ago and started to use polysporin eye drop for a day, then it got worse and more swollen and more painful. Dr prescribed me tobremycin eye drops, then after 3 days my eye got worse and worse. Tears running non stop and my eye is like a bowl of blood. It is so itchy and painful. I hardly can open my eye. After 5 days my Dr prescribed oral medicine (clindamycin 300mg) 3x daily. I just started last night but there is no change. I am so worried about this issue. He said if it gets worse i have to do some inj. ## The general rule with oral antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours, and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days. I had a allergic reaction to some makeup or cream and had very swollen and red eyelids/skin. Was prescribed 8 pills of 20 mg prednisone to take 2x/day for 4 days. I look so much better after taking the 3 pills, can I just stop now or is it like an anibotic and I need to finish the course of the pills? Kind of want to hold on to the rest in case I have the issue again, which is likely! ## You should take the full prescribed amount as directed by your doctor, then consult them if you experience a similar issue and need more of this medication. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nausea, mood changes, insomnia, and weight changes. Were you prescribed any other medications?

After many years of opiode use, encountering unusual side effect. Eyes swell, big red swollen circles ring eyes -- very ugly -- that skin becomes wrinkly, dry, rashy, itchy, eyes water. Feels like some type of hyper histamine attach, but no antihistimine prevents or eases consdition. Face also swells to some degree. Any thoughts? ## Hi bridget, When push comes to shove, I would definitely consider stopping those medications. Perhaps your body may just be trying to tell you that it doesn't want opioids anymore? However, the symptoms you mentioned are commonly regarded as allergic reactions to opioid medication in and of itself; whereas taking an allergy pill wouldn't do anything because you're still taking what's causing the reactions to begin with.
