ITS A BLUE PILL WITH THE WORD SUSTAIN IN CAPITAL LETTERS. ON THE BACK IT HAS A LINE DOWN THE MIDDLE. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS IT AND WHATS IT FOR. ## I can't find anything with this marking in our U.S. prescription drug resources. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? That marking leads me to suspect that it is either an over the counter product, or a foreign medication, possibly one of the many generics for Viagra or something similar. ## I purchased several of these three years ago in Mexico. It's a generic Viagra.

My GP puts me on Tramahexal SR 100 twice daily for severe lower back pain- how long does it take to have any effects 1 hour, 2 hours ? ## Hello, Maruis! How are you? No, it should start working within 15 to 20 minutes of taking and then the medication is slowly released over a period of 12 hours to help alleviate your pain. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does it come with a warning? ## Yes, if someone isn't opiate tolerant and they crush or chew it, this dosage could cause an overdose, as it is a pretty high one. My husband and I are having a debate...I take 80mg of oxycontin SR three times daily. Does my narcotic blood level stay at a steady 80mg or 240mg daily? ## Well, it isn't going to say at any 'steady' level, because it's always going to vary somewhat, due to activity, fluid intake, what you eat and etc. But since the doses are split you essentially always have some processing out, when you're adding more, so you'd be looking at close to the 80mgs. Learn more Oxycontin details here. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Hi Verity, I don't know how much help this will be to your debate, but from what I could gather, the apparent elimination half-life of oxycodone following the administration of OxyContin was 4.5 hours compared to 3.2 hours for immedi...

Since my pharmacy switched to Solco as the supplier of my Wellbutrin I have had all the symptoms, for which I was taking Wellbutrin, return. Has anyone else experienced this problem? ## Hello, Deb0724! How are you? As set forth in the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, there can be fluctuations in the amount of active ingredients in generic medications, they are allowed to differ from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20% and they only have to measure against the name brand, not other generics. Thus, it is highly possible that one may have a little more of the active ingredient, while a different one may be slightly lower. Can anyone else that's taken the one from Solco chime in with their experience? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including n...

which is better - how do I know which one I have? ## Hello, Mickey! How are you? Which is better can depend on the person. Some people do better with the regular release that takes about 15 to 20 minutes to start working, but not everyone stays asleep with it, so they may require the sustained release. The FDA classifies this as a sedative hypnotic that is most commonly used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, somnolence, hallucinations, funny taste in mouth, next day hangover-like effects and sleep actions. What are the markings on the pills you have? If you can post back with this information, I can check to see which formulation they are.

I am 20 weeks pregnant and my gynac prescribed above medicine for days for abdominal pain. Please advise is there any side effect of the same on my baby. ## Hi, Yogi! How are you doing? Congrats on the baby! If your doctor feels you need this, due to the pain you were having, then the risks would be far greater if you didn't take it as prescribed. Isoxsuprine helps increase blood flow to the baby, sometimes when you're pregnant it doesn't flow throughout your abdomen as well as it should due to the added weight of the baby or just sluggish blood vessels.
