Suprep Sodium Sulfate + Potassium Sulfate + Magnesium Sulfate

Laxatives, purgatives, or aperients are substances that loosen stools and increase bowel movements. They are used to treat and prevent constipation. Laxatives vary as to how they work and the side effects they may have. Certain stimulant, lubricant, and saline laxatives are used to evacuate the colon for rectal and bowel examinations, and may be supplemented by enemas under certain circumstances. Sufficiently high doses of laxatives may cause diarrhea. Some laxatives combine more than one act...

I'm unable to find a discount coupon for Suprep. Can you locate it for me? ## Your doctor can go to suprepkit.com click on healthcare professionals and get a voucher for you that way. ## That is correct, the only coupon available is for healthcare professionals. Since this is product that isn't considered life-sustaining and isn't used regularly, the company doesn't offer consumer coupons for it. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I don’t have insurance to cover my surprep and I would be happy just to get. A coupon to help me pay for the medication. Thanks

Has anyone used the new SUPREP kit before a colonoscopy? Would like any comments about taste, ease or side effects. Thanks! ## The Suprep kit contains sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate, it is used for bowel preparation. It basically works as a laxative. I can't think that combo would taste very well, though I have never used it. The most common listed side effects are: cramping, nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. Does anyone else have anything to add? ## Sulfates have a bitter taste, hence the development of PEG bowel cleansing products without sulfate such as Nulytely or Trilyte. Having said that, Suprep contains both Sucralose and flavoring agents, so it may not taste as bad as has been suggested. It still involves the ingestion of 3 quarts of water, ...

Does $90.00 sound right for 2 bottles and one cup? ## Suprep is a bowel prep kit that works by cleaning out your bowels for medical procedures, it contains: sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, and magnesium sulfate. And it is a name brand product that is fairly new to the market, so that price isn't surprising. Are there any other comments or questions? ## The price is out of sight, since the ingredients are inexpensive and the plastic container is also cheap. On the other hand, there are start up costs, advertising fees and regulatory costs, but still $90! There should be no shortage of patients since everybody, it seems,is having a colonoscopy done (and hating every minute of the prep) ## This is a total rip off, my friend has this done and he paid $75 for 2 bottles, and he has rea...

I am looking for a manufacture coupon that will help me pay for my Suprep Bowel Prep Kit. I am 70 years old and can not afford this medication. Can you help me? ## I've done some searching, but I am sorry, I didn't find anything for patient assistance. Since this is a laxative that is used to to clean out the colon in preparation for certain tests and medical procedures, it is generally a once time purchase and most manufacturers of these products don't offer assistance by way of programs or coupons, because it isn't consider life sustaining and isn't something you are going to be using regularly. There are, however, other alternatives on the market, most doctors just prefer this one, because it is new and contains no sodium phosphate. Have you tried asking your doct...

go to suprepkit.com click on healthcare profesionals. click where it says "Click here and fill out our form to download a discount voucher". it only asks you for email and name. the discount is only 20%. max of $10. at least is something. ## Requesting $10 coupon for suprepkit per doctor. ## The only problem is that these coupons are supposed to come from your doctor, with your prescription. This means that if the pharmacy is paying attention, they may not honor it, if your doctor has provided validation. Has anyone been successful using this?

I drank the first bottle of Suprep and it began to work right away. I had to drink the second while on the toilet. I got really cold and the shivers started. Then I got nausea. I vomited about an hour and a half after drinking this awful tasting stuff. My question is will it still work for the colonoscopy tomorrow. ## It would be best to check with your doctor to be sure. But have you still been having bowel movements? If so, then it is probably still working. The symptoms you've described can be normal side effects of using it, according to FDA reports, you may also experience stomach pain, abdominal cramping, and dehydration.

Get some banana flavored twinpop popsicles and a large straw (like for milkshakes) or use two regular straws. The straws get the Suprep past most of the taste buds. After each gulping session, take a bite of the popsicle. It will totally clear any aftertaste. I got both preps down after four gulping sessions. In about 20 minutes, the sessions on the toilet started. I just entertained myself with my Kindle and cell phone for about an hour or so. Then I had a couple more quick trips.... I asked my gastroenterologist why she did not recommend Suprep for every patient, and she said those who are regular do best with Suprep. I will not dread doing the Suprep for my next colonoscopy (which I have every five years). Also, before starting, I put my aloe moist wipes, jar of Vaseline, Kindle, and...

I am looking for a coupon to help purchase the Suprep Bowel Prep Kit. I am unemployed and need this procedure done. Is there any help out there? ## Unfortunately, no there isn't. We've had several people ask, because it is expensive, but since it is considered to be a product that is only used in certain circumstances and not life-sustaining, the company offers no coupons or purchasing assistance. While this is generally the preferred product, there are others available, so the only thing I can suggest is speaking to your doctor about using an alternative. Are there any other questions or comments? ## hi, you can go to internetdrugcoupon.com they have coupons to help with the cost of the suprep. i just got one. ## Just ask your doctor's office for a sample box that they get ...

I am having the colonoscopy tomorrow a.m. and will take my first dose of Suprep in about 10 minutes. I had the procedure done about 9 years ago, using the old prep method. Based on what I'm hearing and reading, the Suprep should be a little more tolerable. ## How did it go? Several people have asked about it, but no one has posted back yet to say whether or not they had good results from using it, as compared to the old ones. Learn more Suprep details here. ## The prep was tolerable. No vomiting, no other major problems. The only complaint is that I had to take the second dose at 1 a.m. The first dose was at 4 p.m. i got only 2 hours of good sleep. I was feverish from dehydration, so I got IV fluids right before the procedure started at 8:30 a..m. They gave me propofol and it took 2...

I see lots of people here who need a cheaper alternative to Suprep. The Mayo Clinic recommends 8 Bisacodyl(Ducolax) tablets and 2 bottles of Magnesium Citrate split over 2 doses. This is just as good as Suprep and produces the same result. Many other clinics have similar recommendations. Do an internet search for "Ducolax and Magnesium Citrate bowel prep instructions". In my opinion, Suprep is just a convenience. The end result for either method is the same. You take laxatives and drink clear fluids until nothing comes out but clear fluids. It's not rocket science. ## Thank you for providing this information, William! I am sure that it will help many. But, before anyone follows these instructions, please check with your doctor and make sure that it is safe for you to do so. ...

My Dr. Prescribed this prior to some procedures. I am on a fixed income and can not afford the 70$ it cost after insurance. My pharmacist suggested I request a coupon. To get it you just need to visit their site and sign up on the voucher page. Learn more Suprep details here. Unfortunately, that still doesn't save you much money. I am looking for a suprep manufacturer coupon. please help me, it seems that this is the one prep for a colonoscopy that will not be harsh on my very sensitive stomach. I dehydrate very easily and need to use this. I've been quoted $93.00 for this by my pharmacy which is an outrageous price. Please help! ## First, check with your doctor's office, they may have a coupon for you there. Second, call other pharmacies in your area and see if they have a better price. Prices for prescription drugs vary greatly from pharmacy to pharmacy. ## There have been several people looking for coupons and discounts for this, but the only one available can only be obtained by healthcare professionals. Suprep tastes awful and causes some discomfort for about an hour each round, but it effectively cleans the colon. A yearly cleansing of this sort seems like it would be beneficial to colon health and getting rid of toxins. Not sure though if it is safe and if any physician would prescribe it in this way or if it is even permitted. Any medical professionals who could answer this? ## Hello, Magpie! How are you? No, they would not. There are reasons it is a prescription only product that is only intended to be used for cleansing before certain procedures. If you wish to detoxify and cleanse at other times, there are safer products you can use, many of which are available over the counter. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I had a colonoscopy 5 years ago, and I'm having one tom...

Really need a coupon to lower my cost to buy Suprep. Does anyone know who to get this manufacture coupon? Can't afford it but have to have it done ## Suprep is a bowel prep product, used for cleaning out the intestines before certain tests and medical procedures. And we have had others ask if there were assistance programs available for this product, but unfortunately, there aren't. The reason is more than likely due to the fact that it is not something that a person has to buy and use on a regular basis and it isn't considered to be a life sustaining and necessary medication. There are other products on the market that can be used, so I can only suggest you contact your doctor and ask for an alternative. Has anyone in the US used this yet for colonscopy and what did it cost? ## I've used this Prep and it was wonderful. It tasted like orange soda and was very small. I undergo routine colonoscopies and have now finally found my prep of choice because it taste great and is tiny. Suprep & Moviprep = YUK!!! ## Thanks, Johnny, was that in the US? and what did it cost? I really don't care if it is easy to use. I may need to convince my Gastro in some way. ## I used prepopik yesterday. It tastes like unsweetened lemonade with LOTS of artificial sweetener. Like lemon koolaid without sugar. Texture is good though, not thick or slimey. Mix with refridgerated cold water, not tap water and stir well. Drink with a straw. Brush your teeth and tongue after drinking to get rid of taste. It says no red or purple, but would blue and orange gatorade be off limits since it is close to those colors? ## My best guess is that it has something to do with a specific ingredient or dye that's used in the red and purple, so the other colors should be fine as long as they aren't specifically on the list. Learn more Suprep details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My doctor said no ARTIFICIAL colors. I couldn't eat a red jello but could drink a red juice if it had no artificial colors.
