My wife had a severe reaction to SUMO tablet few years back. She was suffering from fever for a couple of days and the doctor prescribed her SUMO tablet. After taking one tablet of 500 mg, she immediately developed rashes all over her body and almost fainted. She was transferred to ICU and was kept for two days. Ever since then we are very careful. Doctor has advised not to take any drug containing NSAIDs, Nemosalides and Ibuprofen in future. ## I am very sorry about what she's been through. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications are known to cause serious problems in some people and it is kind of scary to think that they are available over the counter in most countries. I just had a root canal for one of my teeth and the treatment is still going on for another tooth. My dentist directed me to take Sumo (nimesulide 500 mg + paracetamol 100 mg) and Droxil 500 mg two times a day for as many days long as the treatment is going on. As a result of this, I often feel weak and drowsy. Do these medications have any side effects? Are there any other safer alternatives to these medications?

Nimesulide And Paracetamol a combination drug brand name Sumo...is this drug safe for prolong usage....as my mom (46 years old), she frequently will use this drug for headache...are there any side effects from using this, please give some tips or advice regarding this.... It contains 100mgs of the Nimesulide and 500mgs of the Paracetamol, so with the Nimesulide, she shouldn't be taking more than 2 tablets, twice daily and for a maximum of 15 days in a row, according to the current medication safety guidelines.
