my mother takes Sucralfate suspension, she is unable to swollow it in tablet form due to an oesophogeal stricture, is there another similar preparation? ## Well, if she has been prescribed a suspension, that should be a liquid formulation. If her pharmacy has given her a tablet, then they have given her the wrong thing. How was the prescription written? Is her doctor aware of her swallowing difficulties? ## Is SucralFate derived from Sucralose? Does it have the components of Sucralose? I had a severe allergic reaction to it and it seems, now, I have hives if I get a tiny bit of sucralose in my system since I had the allergic reaction to Sucralfate. Is there any relation to it? Is it made of sucralose? ## I TOOK SUCRALFATE AND AM ALLEGIC TO IT CANNOT NOT TAKE IT. WHAT CAN I DO T.O SPEED ...

I started sucralfate 1 gram and because I have difficulty swallowing large tablets I cut it into 4 pieces.
