Subutex Vs Suboxone

I have been on suboxone since 2008. 3 weeks ago I was switched to Zubsolve bc my ins stopped paying for the subs. Anyway the Zubs are awful. I've been sick for 3 weeks and am having to take 3x the dose I'm suppose to be taking. I'm going to the doc today to get back on the suboxone, yet I still have the ins problem. Has anyone been on both Suboxone and Subutex to compare the 2. Subutex would be a lot cheaper if it actually works. I don't want to buy another script that doesn't work. Zubsolv was suppose to be the same as suboxone, even better. It is a nightmare for me. It does not work at all like the suboxone. Anyone??? Thanks ## Was on buprenorphine for 3 years and My ins did the same thing.. I was on zubsolv for week and had the worst headache, felt awful.. Decided...

I am currently on Suboxon and have been for over a year now. It is getting too expensive for me. My doctor told me she could put me on Subutex. Other than the opiate blocker, what is the difference? How different will it make me feel? Will I go through any withdrawls from Suboxone? Does Subutex still give you that "feel good feeling"? ## There really shouldn't be any other difference, as long as she gives you an equivalent dosage, because the main active ingredient is still the same, Buprenorphine. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. In most cases, people can do a clean and easy switch from one to the other. When will you be switching?

My dr. says you cant get subutex in CANADA,not in CANADA and that sucks, I WANT SUBUTEX and xyrem too, lol! CANADA SUCKS! Yet i hear someone say under the worst conditions. No one seems to know the answer for this and i am having reactions to naloxone. We have the Bupe patch, but i dont know if that will replace suboxone! I hope Canada gets it! ## Hello, When you say Bupe patch, are you referring to Buprenorphine? If so, Subutex contains Buprenorphine so I imagine that they should work in similar ways. I've taken vitamin B12 patches and I could tell that the vitamin was much more effective as a patch vs a pill. Hopefully that will be the case with your "Bupe" patches! I'm not sure as to why Subutex isn't available in Canada though, does anyone else have any informati...

What is the difference between buprenorphine 8 mg and 8.2 mg? Thank you. ## There is a medication called Subutex that solely contains Buprenorphine, so you would only see the single dosage for it. However, Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, so it would list 2 dosages, one of the most common of which contains 8mgs of the opiate and 2mgs of the Naloxone. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Thus, I think you may be looking at 8/2mgs, rather than 8.2 What are the markings on the tablet in question? ## Buprenorphine 8mg I subutex buprenorphine 8/2mg Is actually suboxone 8mg buprenorphine and 2mg naloxone there are strips that come in 2,4,8,12 mg by t...
