Subutex Last How Long

I have been on 3 to 4 norcos per day for about 1.5-2 years. 10/325 mg. I don't take them at work EVER. So at night to relax and on weekends/holidays. I recently ran out and my doc suggested I take subutex if I start feeling crappy until I get more. I wasn't feeling too bad but wanted to try it anyway. He told me to put a whole pill under my tongue. But being cautious, I only put 1/2 pill under my tongue (so 4 mg?). Holy cow. I was SO high, then I have been sleepy for hours. Took a nap and woke up still high. Made dinner and am hoping eating makes it go away. It's not, really. I took the pill at 2pm today. I have work at 8:30 am tomorrow - am I still going to feel like this in the morning?! I'm freaking out and really regretting this. *some side notes about me: I am heavy...

Been on burp. For a few weeks have detox to 1/4 every other day. Last Sunday w as s the last rtf time I took anything. I feel so anxious and crawling out of my skin... how long will this last? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you feeling? It depends on how much you were taking and how long you were taking it. It could be anywhere from a week to about a month, before you start to feel more normal. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression and rebound pain. Have you experienced any other withdrawal symptoms, yet? ## I have a few subutex pills. I’m gonna stop using percs and vik’s tomorrow, will I have enough sub to get me over the withdrawals I’m going to break them up into little pieces somebody please help.

Hello I have been on opiates for about 2 years now and I was given a half of a quarter of a subutex and this is my first time taking it. I was wanting to know when it wears off? I think it threw me into full detox because I took 20 mg of hydrocodone 7 hours before I took the sub. I am aware I have a problem I just want to know when the sub will wear off. Took it at 1:30 pm, it's now 9:30pm. ## It usually takes about 72 hours, before other opiates will be effective for you, again. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## That is not necessarily true. If it's the only one he has ever taken and in such a small do...

I'm on pre gablin 200mg twice a day how long do I leave it before starting subutex ive been on pre gablin for 6 weeks ## Hello, Gav! How are you? There is no need to worry about taking Pregabalin and switching to Subutex, since Pregabalin is not an opiate. Some people even take it with Suboxone, or Subutex. The FDA warns that Subutex carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help? ## Iv just started 2day on 4mg subetex how long will it take for my body to get used to the change i was on methodone and took last dose sunday n started subetex 2day monday i also take gabapentin will that help with withdrawl

I tried taking a suboxone 2 days after my last dose of methadone but am now in withdrawal. Can I take methadone now to bring me out? ## @JD To my knowledge there shouldn't be a problem with taking methadone "after" suboxone. Apparently if it's the other way around (suboxone "after" methadone), only then would you have to wait it out for several days in order to avoid being put into immediate withdrawals. I've also seen comments from other patients going from suboxone to methadone within a 24 hour period who said that they were completely fine and didn't experience any problems with sickness or withdrawal. But if you have personal experience going through this process that may be any different from what I've witnessed, please do post your feedback on t...

I have been on 16 mg of subutex for ten years, last Tuesday I had surgery and decided that I was going to try to come off the subutex, use the pain mess I was prescribed for the surgery and then be done with it all. I was prescribed perk 5 mg every four hours, and at the time of the surgery I had been off the subutex for 24 hours (I know that's not long enough) To my surprise taking the perk as prescribed held me over at least in the beginning. By Monday night I was in terrible withdraws (despite still taking the pain medication as I have been). By about 4am I took half of a 8mg sub (which was around 10 hours after the last perc I've taken) The 4 mg not only took me out of WD but it down right got me high. I was quite upset with my lapse but was determined to not let it be my down

I am praying someone can give me a little bit of advice on sebutex. I was on day 4-5 withdrawing from lortab, perc off and on for 2 years. Really want to stop so I got a 8mg sebutex from a friend and took 1/4 of it yesterday at 11 am and started projectile vomiting 2 hours later and it lasted all day. I'm wondering how much I should try this morning without it making me vomit again. I was on it 2years ago-3,4 a day and had to quit cold turkey with no taper bc my Dr hauled butt and I was in the hospital for a month. So I only want to use 2 this time so I don't have to withdraw from it. Please help me {edited for privacy} ## @smgxo, Based on my research, vomiting appears to be listed as a common side effect of Subutex. So there's really no telling whether or not a smaller dose...

I was wondering if anyone could help me here. I was on a high dose of methadone - 135ml & in total have been on that & now Suboxone & Subutext for a total of 10 years. I've spent the last few years reducing & am now on 2mg of Suboxone & 1.2mg of Subutext. I've actually had to stop reductions as I've been really sick for the last 7 months. I feel nauseous & weak all the time, occasionally throw up & burp up sick all the time. Sometimes I wonder if it could be that I am so low now on my medication, although I know by rights I should have stabilised & be fine. Would love to hear from anyone who has been on one of these medications for a long time & then stopped at a low dose for a while & had any problems for months. Thank you! ## You mig...

Has anyone ever taken or hear about a peach/orange covered, oval subutex with the inscription 54 411 on it? .. I can't find these particular ones online anywhere but I believe theyre brand new and I was also wondering what milligram they are? ## The last time I filled my script that's what they were, Orange, oval, 8mg bupenorphen. ## Hi Challen, These orange oval tablets must be fairly new, as per my research, 8mg Buprenorphine Hydrochloride with an imprint of 54 411 is still identified as being white and round. On the other hand, 8mg Buprenorphine Hydrochloride has also been made available in an orange oval tablet with 153 on one side and an Actavis half moon logo on the other. These are somewhat new as well, so not to be mistaken for the other orange oval tablet that you'r...

HELP!!!! im at the point where it has been 4 days since i last took my medication and i feel like i am ready to die or turn back to pain meds, at least i can get them fronted to me please help i do not want to go down that road again. ## I'm sorry, but this site doesn't manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, this is an information only website. I did try doing a search for assistance programs for this medication, but there aren't any available, which happens often with controlled substances. I have been on Subutex for a couple years. The doctor I have went nuts and told me he is closing shop and hates all his clients. Anyway he switched me to suboxone film for my last script. I have been on it for 4 days the 1st two days I didn't feel great but it was manageable and now yesterday and today I am so sick. I feel like a I am in full withdraw i tried taking more but it made it worst. I have no opiates in my system I have only taken subtext for years. There is nothing online showing why I would be sick with the switch. I tried calling the doctors office but I think he closed down. Or at least he is closed today. ## Kansas city no suboxen ?????? ## Hey Marissa, That doctor sounds like he just couldn't cope with the pressure of being in this profession. Sorry to hear that ...

I was givin a what is suppose to be subutex but ive never seen one like this before, its got a 54 on the one side and a score mark in the middle on the other. Its almost like the 54 411s but it is more contoured on the face unlike the 54 411 as they are kind of flat.it is white also. I can somewhat see part of the last number of the 3 on the bottom which looks to be a 6? Anybody kno of any subutex like this?

Im on morphine 20ml daily and fentonyl patches 100mg every 3 days I ran out of my pain relief last week n used subutex today. My script is due tomorrow is it safe to take without being in agony??? ## My advice - I currently have a very low tolerance and applied a 100 mcg patch 10 hrs ago. I stopped a 180 mg daily oxy habit of 3 years 2/14. Since 2/14 until now my opiate usage would be 5 30 mg oxy's monthly typically - I've used maybe 25 mcg orally 3 times in the past 5 months and 60 mg morphine plugged a couple times. I have also used subutex a few times I no longer experience opiate w/d and a dose of 30 mg oxy leaves me extremely buzzed for a good 12 hrs. That being said, I rec'd a 100 mcg patch today to help me with extreme back pain for the next 4 days. I was nervous to w...

How long do I have to wait to take subutex after opiates, as i've heard you will withdrawal if you still have opiates in your system? ## That is correct, you must be in full withdrawal, before you take this medication, otherwise it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took a 4 mg Hydromorphone at 8 pm last night. It's currently 12:15 am for me. So last weds. My drs nurse called and asked me to come in and do a pill count I called back and let them know that I am not in town, well the nurse said she is canceling all my appointments and I am being discharged from the program! I was very upset about this so I kept calling and calling with no results well then Friday my dr herself called and told me that on Monday I can come in for my appointment as scheduled but if my levels are off I will be kicked out of program immediately. Well I really don't have everything in my system as I got them stolen but I could not tell the dr that as I was already in trouble for not coming in for a count . So I am willing to go find some subutecs elsewhere but I want to make sure I can get my levels up to a (12 Mgs a day level) on Monday at my a...

Hey guys so I have Hep C and cannot find a doc in my area to prescribe me subutex unless you're prego or breast feeding which neither applies. I have been clean from the needle for almost 3 years now due to subutex. When I can't find subutex i'll at last resort take suboxone but it gives me the absolute worst migraine and as soon as I stick it in my mouth I throw up. So it's basically pointless for me to spend my money on it. I know of a few people that say docs in harriman, Knoxville or MT Juliet Tennessee will prescribe subutex to hep c patients because suboxone is not good for someone with hep c. Please help. Any advice? Any doctors that anyone with hep c have used that knows the doc will prescribe subutex? No I do not abuse them, I take them as prescribed. I don'...

Hi guys. I have been on subutex for almost 3 months now. I've got myself down to 4-8 mgs a day. Most days 4. I have a neck injury and need proper pain meds. How long do the withdrawals last? I've got a few lortab 10's to help. Please and thank you !!! ## you want to get your dose as low as you can get it before you jump. i was on subs for 5 yrs & jumoed at taking 8 to 12 mgs a day & i went thru a very rough ride! im now 45 days off subs. my acute w/d lasted around 20-22 days but started easing up around the 16th day. after that its mostly mental like anxiety & depression. you may not w/d that long cause they say the longer someone is on them the longer their w/d will be, just like the higher the dose the worse the w/d. thats why i say if u can lower your dose as ...

Methadone maintenance really worked well for me, in 27 years no relapses, turned my life around! Now I'm ready to put it all behind me, and methadone is so hyper controlled now. Had my last methadone dose of 27mg yesterday at 8:30am, plan to switch to subutex tomorrow. SO scared of withdrawal of any kind. Can you give me some positive encouragement?? ## There is information on the various treatment options on the NIH website. Did you doctor tell you to start taking it that soon? You can't start Subutex too soon, because doing so could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, you have to be in full withdrawal, before taking it. Have you started taking it, yet? If so, how are you doing? ## Be very cautious. Methadone has a long have life. I would taper down to 0mg ...

I'm trying to stop using H and I have the 54 411, round, white, subutex pills. Do I have to wait 24 hours from my last usage to take one or can I take it right away? I don't want to get withdrawal symptoms from taking it too soon. But I don't want to wait 24 hours because I start feeling sick much sooner than that. ## Hello, Timetoquit! How are you? This is an 8mg sublingual Buprenorphine tablet, a generic for Subutex and since this does not contain the Naloxone that is used in Suboxone to neutralize other opiates, you do not have to be in full withdrawal to start this one, it shouldn't throw you into precipitated withdrawals. Thus, you should take it according to your doctor's instructions. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming an...
