I have been off the opiates for just over a year and lately due to stress I find myself wanting to deal with my issues by self medicating and used subutex to get clean. Suboxen gives me headaches so I need a dr in the oak ridge area who will prescribe subutex before I go down that addiction path again. I have so much going in my favor and don't want to lose all that I've worked to achieve. Please tell me where and who can help. ## Hi im going for a vacation for 3 months to thailand, right now im on subutex treatment and need prescription on subutex to take with me, i contacted some docter in thailand and they only got methadone , so could you help me with prescription for 3 months, my doctor will not write any recept for some reason i dont know ! my vacation will be broken if no...

Hello i just found out i was having a baby i have bluecare insurance does anyone know a doc that prescribes subutex and takes my insurance and is in murfressboro tn please help ## I don't know how it is in TN, but judging by down here in GA, where I live and what I did when I found out I was pregnant and surprise surprise got laid off my job a week later. My best bet was to go get emergency Medicaid. And they would do anything to help you get off and stay off drugs, like they did for me. They paid for me to be in a private rehab center where they could monitor me and the baby and there were doctors and nurses there. So if suboxone makes withdrawal for and your child more bearable and safe, they'd probably have no problem with you having them since you'll be in a safe, clinic...

Opiate agonist, looking for more information. ## The correct spelling of this drug is Subutex. ## What is the method for weaning off of Subutex? Should be on this short term or long term? I know there are alot of factors such as amount and length of opiate use but have always stopped cold turkey and cant find any answers on this suboxone or subutex. ## please can you tell me if it is possible for people who have been on subutex to come off it, or are they likely to be on for the rest of their lives? The reason i'm asking is that have been with a girl for 5 years now and she has not been able to stop this medication. many thanks ## I have been on subutex 8 mg 3x a day and half mg of klonopin 2x day and I have been on them for 3 years, well my Dr was going to quit the practice in Sept...

If anyone can help it will be appreciated it he is so miserable. ## Hi, Sorry I don't live in IN. But this is my suggestion just find any MD. Tell him what has happened and that he can't take suboxone maybe it gives him terrible head aches? It did me!! Some will write subutex here in Alabama and they are suboxone drs. I am really having a hard time finding a doctor who treats with Subutex and not Suboxone. I have chronic pain syndrome and relief-seeking behavior soon became drug-seeking behavior. My psychiatrist put me on Subutex, and my pain was reduced a little, but I wasn't so much into drug seeking anymore. I was treated for 5 years. Then I moved, and I can't find anyone in Ohio who does this. I might have to move back to Chicago! Any suggestions? ## What is your particular issue with using Suboxone, rather than Subutex? They both contain the exact same narcotic to treat pain and/or addiction, Buprenorphine. The only difference is that the Suboxone also contains Naloxone, to help prevent someone from abusing other narcotics, while they are using it. If you are no longer having a problem w...

I've seen that people in the USA have started to get the new 8mg tablets which are smaller than the old 8mg one's and these were introduced in England as the old tablets were being abused. So they made the new pill smaller believing it would dissolve quicker but they were easier to hide and people had more risk of OD. This was mainly started by pressure from the home office to the drug companies because the abuse of subutex within the English prisons and the shadow economy within the prisons! ## I may of been stupid, but I took Subutex the whole time I was pregnant and my baby is perfectly healthy and scored really low with withdrawal symptoms. ## Mikeyf1973, what are the markings on them? I really can't research them for you, without knowing more information. Can you please...

What's the difference between the small and large pill an which is stronger the 2mg or the 8mg? ## Hello, Sherrie! How are you? When it comes to medications, please don't let them confuse you. As applies in most other situations, the relevance of numbers in medications is the same, so the higher the number, the stronger the dosage. Learn more Subutex details here. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to the specifics on the pills you mentioned, them sizes don't mean anything, so I can't tell you anything about them without more information. Can you please post back with the markings on them? Thanks! ## Size DOESN'T matter but the strength goes ...

Small white round pill with the numbers 54 755 on the same side. ## I was using perk 10s for over a year and having a hard time coming off this opiate being told if wanting to be free of this addiction and using subutex the right way will be very helpful in my recovery ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, and they list it as containing 2mgs of Buprenorphine, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction, and to treat some forms of chronic pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. The inactive ingredients may include: citric acid anhydrous, corn starch, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mannitol, povidone, sodium citrate, though they may vary depending...

Is it safe for a parent to be driving their children while taking subutex? ## It really depends on the person in question and how it affects them. If you read the warnings given for these types of medications, it states that you shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery, until you know for sure how the medication is affecting you. If it causes a lot of drowsiness and dizziness in the person that's taking it, then no, they should refrain from driving. However, not everyone that takes it experiences such side effects and they also tend to wear off, over time, so if they do experience them, there may be only a short period of time, where it isn't safe for them to drive. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Legal in Tn if your prescribed to drive to & from dr unlik...

Was on methadone fir 3 months and I've been off of it fir 1 month but I've been doing other opiates to get me through the withdrawal. I'm looking into taking subutex and wanted to no if I can take one right away or do I have to wait 24hrs for the opiates to get out of my system. ## Hello, Tiny! How are you? Subutex only contains Buprenorphine, it does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone to cause withdrawal, so it does not require the waiting period. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What has your doctor advised? ## Have not spoke with a doctor regarding this matter. One more question, if I am on subutex for a couple days, do I have to wait to ...

A friend of mine told me her pharmacy told her they were going to be only getting the small round generic subutex tablets. I have always gotten the big ones. I do not like the small ones, I don't abuse them. So has anyone else heard that they are going to quit making the round generic 54 411 suburex ?? ## @lifesaver, There haven't been any official announcements from the FDA or drug companies regarding the discontinuation of this pill. So I'm not sure where your friend heard this information, but it's possible that it may not be public news yet if she recently got these details in advance from someone within the company. The manufacturer of this specific pill is Roxane Laboratories, Inc. I would suggest contacting them directly for a more accurate answer on what their fu...

You don't have to be in withdrawal to take subutex. Been on it for 6 years. I always read this garbage from people that don't have a damn clue, passing on info they are just regurgitating. ## Hello, tmoney! How are you? That is correct and thank you for posting. Sometimes, people may feel minor withdrawal symptoms, because Buprenorphine tends to be stronger in gripping onto the opiate receptors, so it kicks out other stuff someone may have taken. But, if doesn't cause the dangerous precipitated withdrawals, in most cases, that people can experience if they take Suboxone too soon, due to the Naloxone that's in it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may c...

Trying to identify an orange, round pill with DRA on one side and a single scored line on the other. Thought they were subutex but can not confirm. Typical searches return Dramamine but when you look closer, it lists the color as white. Also, Dramamine spells it out as the imprint vs DRA. I have seen it listed as subutex 8mg once. Tried to ask a pharmacist, he couldn't identify it either. Please help - I need to know what this is I found in my sons room. ## My research also yields Dramamine (25mg) as a result with an imprint of "DRA" under the following National Drug Code of 63029-904, except the white color and second score line don't match up as you already pointed out. I see that Subutex is listed as a suspect in another related discussion thread here, but the post (#...

I took one 8 mg 24 hours ago. First one I took. Will I feel opiates after 24 hrs ## Hello, Rick! How are you? Most likely not! Subutex tends to take a stronger hold on your opiate receptors, even though it's a rather weak opiate itself, so it prevents the others from having much of an effect. It would be best to give it several days. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long did your doctor advise you to wait?

What the difference between Buprenorphine with Naloxone and Buprenorphine without Naloxone ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? That is the difference. once contains the Naloxone to help prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it and the other doesn't. Naloxone isn't safe for everyone, particularly pregnant women, or someone who is allergic to it, so a different option has to be available for them. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can skmeone please help me bow do i take the subutex am i supposed to diss...

I need to know the name of the doctor in Johnson City Tennessee who prescribes Subutex and benzo's at the same time I am interested in maintenance. ## Most Drs won't prescribe the two together. Because they both are downers. A lot of people dont know that. They lower your respiration. Finding a dr that will prescribe the two will be difficult. You can always seek a primary care or Ive heard some place called Graceland that would write the benzos and just find another doctor for addiction purposes solely. ## Restoration and wellness is located on Susanna Drive in Johnson City the doctor's name is dr. My dr. says you cant get subutex in CANADA,not in CANADA and that sucks, I WANT SUBUTEX and xyrem too, lol! CANADA SUCKS! Yet i hear someone say under the worst conditions. No one seems to know the answer for this and i am having reactions to naloxone. We have the Bupe patch, but i dont know if that will replace suboxone! I hope Canada gets it! ## Hello, When you say Bupe patch, are you referring to Buprenorphine? If so, Subutex contains Buprenorphine so I imagine that they should work in similar ways. I've taken vitamin B12 patches and I could tell that the vitamin was much more effective as a patch vs a pill. Hopefully that will be the case with your "Bupe" patches! I'm not sure as to why Subutex isn't available in Canada though, does anyone else have any informati...

I am praying someone can give me a little bit of advice on sebutex. I was on day 4-5 withdrawing from lortab, perc off and on for 2 years. Really want to stop so I got a 8mg sebutex from a friend and took 1/4 of it yesterday at 11 am and started projectile vomiting 2 hours later and it lasted all day. I'm wondering how much I should try this morning without it making me vomit again. I was on it 2years ago-3,4 a day and had to quit cold turkey with no taper bc my Dr hauled butt and I was in the hospital for a month. So I only want to use 2 this time so I don't have to withdraw from it. Please help me {edited for privacy} ## @smgxo, Based on my research, vomiting appears to be listed as a common side effect of Subutex. So there's really no telling whether or not a smaller dose...
