Suboxone Withdrawal After 6 Days Of Use

I was using Vic's/oxys for about 3 years. I finally was able to get into a detoxing center but was only able to stay 6 days. In them 6 days they gave me suboxone 4mg strips twice daily. The last time I used vicodin was 11/10/15 and the last time I had suboxone was 11/16/15 at 630am. Is it possible for me to be having w/d now? And if so from which? And did my body have enough time to build up a tolerance? And yes I went cold turkey from the suboxone. Plz somebody help ## How are you feeling? Have you experienced any withdrawals? You'd likely not experience any immediately, it wouldn't happen, until you missed one or more doses, though the time frame can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that possible withdrawal symptoms may include nausea, dizziness, rebound pain, dep...

Hello slit has been two days since taking my OXY IR's. I started my suboxone like two mgs and it is wonderful. I don't get any withdrawals and I sleep great. However I still have the craving for the IR. I am filling the script when I get the money but I did not want to go into withdrawals since I ran out. I plan to take them again next week or so but until then I just want to get past thinking about them. My question is my suboxone level to low or is thinking about getting them mentally a part of my brain used to having them? HELP PLEASE!!! ## Yes, it is normal to still think about wanting them, the Suboxone just helps prevent the physical symptoms of being without the drug, it doesn't fix the mental issues for you. However, you aren't going to be able to take the Oxycod...

Okay. So I have been on Suboxone for about a year and I am just fed up. In my opinion (and I'm sure many others) my doctor is doing it for the money and is not very well read. I have been stuck at 8 mg. sometimes I drop down to 7 but it varies. I have an incredibly fast metabolism. I can't break 100 lbs, I eat constantly, and I'm 22. I go into withdrawal very fast. I have gone through w/d plenty of times. The worst was the last time, when I kicked my opiate habit cold turkey in detox. I refused meds and just went through the motions. It was horrible but over fast. When I have kicked Suboxone, I tend to feel better after three days. But that's just me. I usually get all the normal w/d symptoms with insomnia and rls being the worst. This time is different though. I'm g...

I'm 13 days in withdrawal from Suboxone. I was on 8 mg for almost 2 years after abusing Vic/Perc for a little over year. I was never supposed to be put on this evil s*** and it's caused me to lose everything. I'm currently living in my girlfriends 2 bedroom house with her two kids. They all hate me so I basically hide in the basement thru this hell. Being alone is the hardest part for me. Will it ever end? I'm starting to think I don't want to live anymore ;(. Please help ## Hi Jojo, Sorry to hear about the suboxone withdrawals. You're certainly not alone though, as I've seen a number of other patients posting on here who are undergoing the same "hell" as you called it. And I don't think that's an understatement either. Have you tried getting ...

ive took 16mg of suboxone for 1 year. i tapered down to 4mg in just 7 days. then i jumped from the 4mg. its been 10 days.NOTHING!? i had mild nasal issues on day 3, but none of the other terrible symptoms.yet...? should i expect it to come this far into it, or did i just become one of the 1% of people that r lucky enough to not have issues? thanks for any replies! and good luck to everyone whos stopping this medicine. i had to stop, it was making me not feel like a person, its like i was void of emotion. anyone heard of anyone getting withdrawals after this long? ## SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU MAY BE LUCKY. I had symptoms at day 2 and they peaked by day 7. then lasted till the 10th day before easing. Im on day 22 and the PAWS are a pain! good luck though, i hope for your sake that you did dod...

My question is I have taken suboxone for awhile now and for the past few months I've been tapering off of them I'm to the point of where about a 4mg strip will last for probably around 10 days. My question is, is that even enough to be helping me or is it all just in my head? I'm just wondering because I'm quitting one way or the other and just want to know if the withdrawals will be as bad as others because of my low doses or if anyone else has tried it this way? All help is appreciated. Thanks... ## If that's all you're taking in a 10 day period, then you most likely won't have any withdrawal effects from stopping. It seems you've already tapered yourself far enough to be done. However, you should know to watch for any withdrawal symptoms, such as chill...

I am on day 8 of suboxone withdrawal. Last night I finally got some sleep after several Nyquil and a lyrical. I took 8 days off of work to go thru this but thought I'd feel much better than I do at this point. I HAVE TO go back to work tomorrow and don't k ow how I'll make it thru. I'm taking vitamins b-6, b12 and ginseng tablets. The RLS has become less severe but the anxiety is at its worst! I started suboxone about a year ago for help to get off 3 year addiction to Norco. I keep reading about weeks/months long wd...really???? I don't know what to do! Any advise on regaining a functioning level of energy and comfort immediately? Just hoping it's possible. ## This is only my suggestion from my experience getting through withdrawal symptoms from opiates. Anytime ...

I was on H and suboxone binge for the last 2 months I'd take H 3-8 bags for 2-3 days then hold off for 24 hours and take an 8mg suboxone pill to taper (just one dose that would last for 5-7 days. This last week though I needed more suboxone to feel comfortable and did an 8mg, 8mg, 4mg dose and then stopped cold turkey. I had been clean for 5 months and the last year and half with 2 very short relapses. Anyway the first 5 days i felt fine a little fatigued at times, then day 6 I started to get really depressed (like suicidally) in the afternoon and then fell asleep normally but started RLS and kicking around 5am watched tv for 2 hours then napped for one more (So i ended up with a full 8 hours) but then Day 7 I had mild chills and then late afternoon again i felt super depressed and ...

My 63y/o mother survived chemo and radiation for throat cancer but was unable to stop the morphine 15mg twice a day without horrible withdrawal symptoms. Her MD put her on Suboxone 8mg/2mg once a day in June. She even took half the strip on most days and the doctor was very pleased and anticipated that she would be able to stop altogether in November. She unfortunately had a stroke 14 days ago and has been in the hospital. The first 7 days she was confused from the stroke but now she is weak and forgetful but is no longer disoriented. She told me tonight that she thought she needed her Suboxone. She said she thought she was going thru withdrawal. I was floored. She is not having any outward signs of withdrawal: no back/stomach pain, no nausea/vomiting, no sweating or tremors. Isn't ...

Hello all! I am now on day #11 of no suboxone after 3 years of being on it for Tramadol dependancy after numerous shoulder surgeries from an old football injury. I was able to ween down to 1-1.5 mgs a day before stopping. I was so sick of the Dr's appts, fees, trips to the pharmacy, etc. although I never felt like I was "using" while on subs, I never felt like I was sober either. I've been trying to stop for almost 6 months now but I kept going back to the Dr after only being able to go a few days here and a few days there before giving up due to bad withdrawal. This month, I blew off my appt because I knew that that would be the only way I could stick to my guns. It was "ripping off the bandaid" so to speak. Because I canceled the appt, even if I were to try to ...

I'm so aware of the returning withdrawal symptoms since I dropped down from 1/2 strip to 1/4 strip of Suboxone. Is it the closer you get to being done with the Subs the stronger the withdrawal symptoms occur? I've been on the 1/4 strip for 8 days now. I haven't been able to sleep, constant turning, weird leg feelings. I don't want to go up a 1/4 as I need off of it! I've been on this crap since end of Feb. when I was detoxed from Fentanyl 25 mcg and Percocet. These were prescribed, after numerous surgeries since 2005. How long will these symptoms of, hot flashes, sleep issues go on? I have to be off of this Subs for 5 days, in order to have oral surgery. It's so unpredictable and scary. Can anyone offer wisdom?? ## Hello, Sula! How are you doing? It usually takes...

I am dependent on norco 10/325 and was taking between 7-10 per day. I want to get off of them completely but the withdrawals are way too intense. I want to know a way to do so safely and comfortably. My situation is that on thursday mid day i had taken my last norco. By friday morning i had started feeling the withdrawal. I had gotten a 8mg suboxone and only took half and withdrawal went away really quickly all day friday. All day sat i was still fine on only the half then sat night i started feeling the withdrawal again so i took the other half. The rest of the day i was fine and all day sunday and all day monday. I have another suboxone tablet just in case it happens but am i doing this safely and will it work to get off everything completely? ## Dear dan, it all depends on how long u...

I have been taking 56 mg of methadone every other day I would like to know if 3 8mg Suboxone would help with withdrawal. I know that I have to wait at least three days and in withdrawal before I take the Suboxone. I would like to know if this is going to help me. I am a single mother 36 years old and a full-time college student, I was sober for 4 1/2 years and had an fortunate relapse this is why I started at the methadone clinic in the first place. My new semester starts in a month and I want to be free and clear of this, my question is will the 3 8mg Suboxone and help me so I will not be sick? My friend gave me the three tablets, I do not want to be dependent on the Suboxone this is why I think three would be enough? I am okay with feeling a little crappy but I cannot have full-blown ...

I've been abusing vicodin and percocet for over 7 years. I'm fed up with it all, but terrified BEYOND TERRIFIED of telling my doctor about it, for fear of losing my kids. I turned to a friend who takes Suboxone and she is helping me enormously......I'm on day 4 of only 4 mg per day. Anyone know if I go through the "proper channels" if I will lose my kids over this? I'd much rather be doing it under a doctor's care, but my friend helping me was pretty blunt and said that she had to LIE about the amount she was taking in order to get help in the first place. I've tried cold turkey many times and got scared to death when it lasted for more than a week...normally withdrawals were only lasting me a few days. I'm in over my head, and trying everything in my...

My brother has been suffering from paranoia and delusions for about six months. He has has been a heavy drinker for several years now. And he also had an addiction of some kind which compelled him to go to a suboxone clinic to manage his life with the hopes of tapering off. Unfortunately, he never tapered off and seemed to use his strips several days if not more than a week before his next prescription. I'm not sure what happened, but eventually he started talking about people bugging his apartment, car, phone, etcetera. He also claimed that people were talking about or to him on the television or radio. Sometimes I'll get up and he will have taken the batteries out of devices and unplugged electronics because he thinks people are spying on him through them or mysteriously talki...

I was on suboxone 45 days, to help, with withdrawal if methadone. I had completely tapered myself off of methadone but, the withdrawal s was just to much to function... So I had almost an entire script of suboxone 8 milligram strips left. I taper down to .25 milligrams. My doctor told me it would be ok to start naltrexone 3 days after I stopped the suboxone. He said to take 1/4 of a 50 milligram pill. WOW that was cray it sent me straight into precipitated withdrawal... Now I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP. ## Have you informed your doctor of what happened? Usually, they do have you wait 72 hours, which means a full 3 days, taking nothing until the 4th day. What types of symptoms are you having? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including naus...

My husband was on suboxone 60 mg the for 3 years. Recently he stopped suboxone cause he is in pain with his hip and needs a replacement. He started taking 120-180mg of morphine for about 3-4 days and then stopped the morphine, waited about 9-10 hours, and went back to suboxone. Now he has been running a fever for two days, very lethargic, and nauesea. Is he going through withdrawal? ## Hello spotty sorry for the pain your husband's in. I too am prescribed suboxone and have hip trouble. Actually have recently had both replaced and I'm on the sub for my weakness for the opiates.. it actually gives me better relief than the oxycodone did. As for the fever I'm not sure - some people have different withdrawal symptoms. I suggest checking with your dr because if there's arthri...

I was on Suboxone 8mg from the time of my inpatient detox from opiates. I was supervised in a proper taper. Every time I cut back I felt better. After 11 days on 1/8th of a 2mg strip, I stopped the Suboxone. I haven't been able to sleep since. I spin like a top all night. My back was injured Sat. a week ago. Would this be a withdrawal symptom or back issue or both? How long will the withdrawal symptoms last. I'm feeling like a zombie from NO SLEEP. Going to chiropractor, who says I injured S1 disc. So confused and don't want to go back on that awful drug!! ## Hello, Sula! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're miserable. It is most likely a withdrawal symptom, it can take several weeks for them to completely wear off. Suboxone does contain a potent narcotic, so s...

I regularly take 10-12 mg of Suboxone daily. This month I ran out 3 days early, so I took 80 mg of opiates. Each day I took my last does of opiates at noon, it's now 7 pm. Is it safe to take Suboxone again? I don't want to go in withdrawals but I have always been told Suboxone remains in your system for 3-5 days. If so, is there enough Suboxone in my system so I won't go into withdrawals? ## Hello, David! How are you? It's difficult to gauge, because how long it stays can vary from person to person. It would really be best to wait until you're in full withdrawal, before starting it, again, unless your doctor directs otherwise. 80mgs of opiates is a high amount, so there could be a pretty high risk of precipitated withdrawals, if you take it too soon. The FDA classifi...

If taken correctly when i first start taking suboxone (first pill) will i feel withdraw symptoms or a buzz,or just normal? ## When you first start it, if your doctor has calibrated the correct dosage, you should not feel any differently. It is intended to be used to prevent the withdrawal symptoms you would experience if you tried to stop cold turkey. You may, however, experience the usual narcotic side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. You can read more on Suboxone here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I started on suboxone 4 days ago through a clinic. When I take my dose I don't have any bad side effects. I feel energized and just plain good. I'm not sure if this is what "normal" feels like because I've been using oxy ...
