Suboxone Not Working

I was put on suboxone almost a year ago because a new pain doctor told me if I didn't switch to it then he couldn't help me. It was the scariest thing I've ever done but I did it. For the first 3 months I hated it. I had horrible insomnia and nausea. Then I go back to the NE pain center and my new pain doc no longer works there!!??? They set me up with another pain doctor but everyone everywhere assumes I got put on suboxone because I was an addict. Anyway I got through it and within a few more weeks, I only felt 100% complete pain relief and was full of energy! I lost 60 pounds! Out was great. Now nearly 6 months later it's like the opposite. I'm not taking it regularly cause it's no longer making my pain go away and my depression is completely out of control. T...

Has anyone noticed that the 8-2 sublingual strips have not been working as well for the last 3 months? Well they recalled them about 10 days ago! I noticed they were lighter in color and some of them were starting to crack. Help! ## Have you informed your pharmacy? In most cases you have to return to the source in order for a recall issue to be handled and to receive a replacement. For example, if you own a Ford and they issue a recall, you have to take your vehicle to a Ford dealer in order to receive a repair, or replacement. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Has anyone else experienced problems? ## Wtf. Me too. Something is wrong.with this batch. Its ...

I took a suboxone today. Is it safe to take talwin tomorrow? Will it work? ## Hello, Kiki! How are you? Nope, the Naloxone in the Suboxone will most likely block it from working. Usually, you have to wait about 3 days, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been using percocets for 2 years. for my fibromyalgia pain. I was taking 30 milligrams a day. now I am detoxing on suboxone for 2 days. my doctor currently gave me Savell. can I do both together or should I wait after I detox.. ## Hello, Tina! How are you? Are you just working with your regular doctor on this? The Suboxone likely isn't appropriate for someone taking just 30mgs a day, it's meant to be used to treat hardcore drugs addicts, not someone that's just been dependent on something for pain. And are you referring to Savella? In respect to it, what instructions did your doctor provide you for when to start it?

I've come off methadone and on suboxone but after several days I'm still sick. When will this stop so I'll feel better. I have a family and I'm not doing my usual jobs to keep my home working like I want it to. ## Hello, Angela! How are you? Have you contacted your doctor? You may need the dosage of your Suboxone adjusted. It can sometimes be difficult, at first, to get it just right. It will most likely need to be raised, for awhile, then it can be lowered, once you're feeling better and things are back under control. This medication is listed as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. "I've been using 8mg of Subutex for about a year now and it no longer gives me any type of relief. I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. You may require a dosage adjustment, the maintenance dosage to keep a patient from experiencing withdrawal symptoms can go as high as 24mgs, according to the information provided by the FDA. I used to take methadone primarily. Before that perks. My access was to liquid methadone. I would take approx 25 mgs in the morning and an additional 10-15 mgs at dinner. Enough was enough and I got in a suboxone program. Now I know opinions will vary on the best way to get clean. I feel this is currently my best option. I run a store, working 60+ hours a week, 6 days a week. Unfortunately I've already missed 4 days due to the flu and being dope sick. I was suppose to get my script for suboxone last night but the pharmacy messed up. So I ran out and got 2 perk 15s. I took one at 12:30 to help me sleep. Then took half at 9 and the other half at 10:30 or so. When can I take my suboxone? Dr suggested I wait till either last night or this morning but that was before the pharmacy messed ...

Iv been on Suboxone for almost 2 years now , and iv tried every single manufacturer you can think off, starting from the very first orange oval shape ones which are the original ones not generic ones , from that to strips ,an415 orange round , white round moon imprint to, white round lemon lime ones to bupes, which are the small round ones and have a 8 logo on the front and a arrow logo on the back , and in my opinion those are the best ones because they have no naloxone in then just 8 mg of buprenorphine, those ones work the best but they are not given out much because or abuse, I am on the round peach ones right now imprint 54 375 and they are working perfectly for me , as a matter of fact they work really good for me way better then the white round ones with the imprint if moon on th...

I am currently taking subutex cause I am allergic to something in suboxone. My doctor just asked me if I wanted to try something called subsal. Its new and I guess its a mint flavor tablet.... What is it ## Hi leah, Sorry to hear about your allergy to Suboxone. However, I haven't been able to find any specific details on any medications by the name of Subsal. Did your doctor mention anything else about what it's supposed to be used for? If the Subutex is working well as an alternative option, then in my honest opinion it may be best to stick with what you already know, since different brands can still effect each person differently. So switching medications is somewhat of a gamble in that regard. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Subutex Details I hope this help...

I went to pick up my suboxone strips and was given the little white pill instead which I have read is the generic form. I normally take 1/2 strip twice daily and took the entire 8mg. tablet and did not have any of my normal effects from the strips. I then took another tablet a few hours later and still nothing. I read that this form of suboxone does not work and can cause you to go into withdrawal. Is this true? Why isn't it working? What can I do. The pharmacy told me that my insurance only covers the generic form, and not the orange ones or the strips. I'm obviously concerned about this and not sure what I can do. Any feedback would be appreciated. ## What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back and clarify? What effects are you expecting it to cau...

Can you take 50 mcg fentanyl with suboxone? Any replies from anyone please get back to me. Thanks. ## Hello, Baconbob! How are you? The active ingredients in Suboxone can also prevent Fentanyl from working as well, just as it does for other opiates, so you should mix them, unless your doctor has specifically told you it's okay to try it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Also, can I cut the patch in half?? ## Suboxone does not block fentanyl. Fentanyl is to strong and knocks the suboxone off the receptors, I have done this many times. Just have to be careful not to overdose. The...

This is simple. I've been on suboxone for five years. I'm clean. I took opiates for thirty years. Methadone was the kinky way out and frankly doesn't work for the same reason subutex rarely works. You can still take opiates on top of both. Suboxone has a blocker. It is easy knowing you can't feel high. I still go to therapy and meetings. Beats being deaf. Good luck. ## Hello, Anfy! How are you? Actually, Subutex can still block other opiates from working, so many people do have good luck with it. It contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, which tends to cling to the opiate receptors in the brain much stronger than most other opiates, so it can also cause precipitated withdrawal, if someone has been taking any recently. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is mos...
