I have been on a suboxone program for 3 days @ 16mg a day. What will happen if i have a 100mg shot of morphine sulphate? I have previously been told that i need 5 times the amount of morphine as i take of suboxone. So 16mg dose of suboxone means i need at least 80mg of morphine to jump the naloxone? Is that true? And can i take the 100mg shot of morphine without any dramas?

I've been on suboxone for about a month. Before I decided to face my addiction of over 10 years of opiate pain killers, I was on 80MG of Ms contin 3Xs daily, 40 of oxy as needed every 4 hours, Norco 10s 1 or 2 pills as needed every 4 hours, Xanax, Lyrica and a few others. First my doctor started me on 1\2 tablet 2Xs a day. It wasn't enough so he went up to 3xs a day. It still wasn't helping. He wouldn't raise it so I switched doctors. I took a 4mg at 1pm, then a 2mg at 3pm. Still in withdrawals. It's now 7pm. Can I take another 2 mg dose? I don't think I have gone into PAW. My last ms contin dose of 30mg was at 7pm last night. I get suboxone daily 2 x 8mg but am also using MST's 4 back pain & I feel fine, why am I not going into withdrawal ? ## What are MST's? I've had my experience with everything and also on subs and have never heard that term. ## MST CONTINUS is a brand of Morphine Sulfate in the UK from Napp Pharmaceuticals Limited. ## Subs have Narcan in them. Dear VerWon, I now know the difference between suboxone and subtext. But, why would one Dr. Choose one over the other? As I said in my prior post, Suboxone includes Naloxone to prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is being treated with it for addiction and that is exactly why it is usually preferred over Subutex. Does anyone know of any doctors in the Chicago area currently prescribing low doses of opioid pain medications? Something like 10-325 Norcos, 20mg-30mg oxycodone IR, 15mg-30mg MSIR or even Suboxone? I broke my back over a decade ago. I recently herniated another disc at L4 and am experiencing terrible pain that shoots all the way down my left leg and into my foot. I’ve been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and am also experiencing narrowing of the spine at L4, L5. I used to be on tons of these kind of medications and was weaned down on my own choice, but the pain has become unbearable and I need to be able to work. I know Suboxone helps with pain as well and is extremely helpful in preventing cravings for higher doses of opioids. I would be happy to even be taking Suboxone...

i kept getting sick after every strip or tablet of suboxone i took.i was a chronic pain patient for 17 yrs. and a former nurse b4 i got sick with lupus fibromyalgia ms ddd and herniated discs l-4 and l-5.after much research i figured out the problem.told my doc who didnt have a clue and got put on subutex instead suboxone has an artificial sweetner called acesulfame potassium and if u r allergic to sulfa drugs..bam suboxone willl make u sick..love to all.hope this helps someone who suffered like i did b4 researching it on my own ## Wow, I am very sorry that you were having such a problem, but very glad that you're doing better now. I'm really gtn desperate to get on computer and talk bout my addiction. Hi. My sister has had a problem with norco for several years. She and her husband moved to Texas for his job and she finally wanted to get help. They found a wonderful doctor in Sabine and she has been on suboxone now for five months. The problem now is that the job is over and they are back in ms and she can't find a doctor. There are waiting lists and prejudice everywhere she goes. Please if anyone can help her and knows of somewhere she can go let me know.
