False positive suboxone
5 Replies RSS
suboxone has some opiate in it obviously which is why it helps the opiate withdrawl symptoms. it also has the naxloxane which blocks our opiate receptors from other opiates. i got a small amount of pain relief from it. ## Actually, it mostly contains the opiate and a very strong one called Buprenorphine. It is sometimes used to treat severe pain, for people who have not had good relief from other pain medications. It is, however, more commonly used to help treat drug addiction. It is a long process, but most people that use it do end up completely drug free. The opiate agonist in it is Naloxone. Are there any comments or questions? ## i took a test for i.o.p and i came up positive for suboxone and i never even took one in my life..does anyone know what would make it come up either for a... ...

I am not on suboxcine, and have not taken or done any, but my drug test keeps coming up positive for it. Is there anything such, other medications, stuff in food or drink, etc. that could be causing this false reading. please help ## It is possible with some other medications, for instance if you have taken anything that contains other synthetic opiates, such as Oxycodone or Hydrocodone. However, no, it should not just show up from foods or beverages. Can you post back with a list of the other medications you take, even over the counter items, so I can check for you? ## I have only taken suboxov in treatment 10 months ago, but my urine came back positive for suboxone. I am taking dilantin, motrin, celexa, melatonin, and remeron. What may have caused this? ## Can someone who is taking al... ...

False Positive for Suboxone

Hi, I currently take the following meds; percocet 10/325 (3x day) neurontin 300mg (3x day) mobic 7.5mg (2x day) prevacid 40mg (1x day) klonopin 1mg (as needed, usually 3 per week as much as 1 per day) lisinopril 40mg (1x day) atenolol 50mg (2x day) I also take several vitamin supplements (multivitamin, milk thistle, vitamin B12, vitamin e). My doc drug tested me and said the test showed I had ingested suboxone which I had NOT. I told her that I had no reason to take that b/c it is my understanding it would be counterproductive to the pain medication anyway. Has anyone heard of false positives for this drug? The Doc was very cool about it and said it could be a false positive or I could be lying but she wasn't angry. I am a white male about 40 with hbp, severe back and leg problems. ... ...

suboxone false positive for heroin

Im perscribed suboxone to get off pain killers have been on it not too long about two or three months took a drug test for work and it came back as heroin.never done this please help scared im gonna get fired. ## If you're getting it legitimately, then youre being prescribed medication. That doesn't count on a drug test because you have been prescribed to take this. It didn't show "heroin" but an opioid, just like any opiate based medication. ## The Buprenorphine in Suboxone hasn't been known to cause a false positive for heroin, but there are other substances that can. Were you taking anything else? Even over the counter products? Learn more Suboxone information here. ## It came back as opiate, if you haven't had H then its just picked up opiates in your sys... ...

HELP! I have NEVER taken Suboxone in my life. I've never even seen it in real life. After 5 years of clean urine screens for pain management, I suddenly tested positive for it in June. I swore to my doctor I hadn't taken Suboxone or anything else not prescribed to me (because it was and is true) he said he had never seen a false positive but that he was inclined to believe me and would run more specific tests. I went back in a few days ago and he said that I had tested positive a second time, that Suboxone contains a very specific molecule that cannot be misidentified and that he would chalk it up to adulterants in my medications if other patients had tested positive, but no one else had. I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe me anymore. He was willing to send one more samp... ...

I am having the same problem. My drug of choice was synthetic marijuana but I keep getting false-positives for suboxone. I have never in my life taken heroin or suboxone. I was kicked out of substance abuse treatment because of it. This is f***ed up. Example: On 7/10/2015, I gave a urine sample to my new treatment center as well a urine sample to my primary doctor. Treatment center result was positive for suboxone and the doctors result was clean thru and thru. ...

can suboxone cause a false positive oxycodone

I was tested for oxicodone and it also showed positive for subaxon is that common mix up ## Dear Mike, did u take any suboxone? They r both opiates, but, they should come up desperate. When my Dr. Tests me, he tests 4 opiates and suboxone. (2 seperate tests.) I don't know what could have happened ? R u sure u didn't accidentally take suboxone? I just never heard of such a thing. ## Dear Mike, P.S. After doing some research, it can happen. It's happened 2 other people. I would sit down and talk 2 you're Dr. Or whoever is in charge and explain yourself. But, like I said earlier, they r usually done separately. (The 2 tests) sometimes, the Dr. Will do a panel of a few different tests. ( benzos, opiates, soboxone, meth, cocaine) GOOD LUCK! ## Please expand on who and where a... ...

can oxycodone give false positive for suboxone
9 Replies RSS
I've ben on a pain clinic for a couple of years and taking oxycodone, nver taken anything not prescribed, yet I was told I am taken off the list for oxycodone because I tested positive for suboxone, I've never taken that or anything related to it I am 52 and not into drugs, so why did I get a false positive for suboxone what would cause it, Pleasee help ## It shouldn't, however, there have been many recent posts about similar problems. From various pieces of information posted, it seems that some cheaper tests are not entirely accurate. Normally these tests just look for a category of drugs, they have to use more specific tests to look for the specific ones. That said, I really wish I knew how to help you. Have you tried requesting that they redo the test? There have been se... ...

I have been taking a generic Suboxone, I tested positive for oxycodone but have not taken that in almost a year. Why is this happening? I am at a loss and stuck in a nightmare!! Please help!! I do not take any thing else at all in the opiate family. What do I do? ## Sorry no one has answered this, and I think that it might, AND I think it may be the generic brand. because I too failed for oxycodone while taking generic suboxone, and almost got kicked off on court supervision and put in jail.
