is a 4mg tablet of suboxone a half of tablet or a whole tablet...could someone please explain this to me...8mg 2 mg what is what?? ## There are 2 dosages available, which contain the Buprenorphine and Naloxone, one is a 2mg/0.5mg and one is an 8mg/2mg, so yes, to take 4mgs, you'd have to take half of the larger tablet. Now I can't get anymore and I only have about 1 and a quarter of a pill left ( About 10 mg) ...am I going to be able to use this small amount to be able to taper enough to have light enough withdrawls symptoms so that I can still go to work...or am I screwed? ## IT is difficult to say, since it does contain the narcotic Buprenorphine, you may experience withdrawals, but the severity can vary from one person to another. It may best to try to plan your taper and the time you stop taking it for when you have a day or two off of work. The withdrawals can cause rebound pain, fever, chills and nausea. Looking for Suboxone Pills or Film for my 25 year old daughter ## I am sorry, this site does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any products. this is an information only website. In addition, Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the first is a powerful narcotic and the second neutralizes other opiates. That means that this drug is very dangerous if it is not used properly, because it can put someone into severe withdrawals that can endanger their life. It should only be used under a doctors supervision, who can provide the proper instructions on when to start the medication and calibrate the proper dosage. Then, the amount has to be very slowly tapered to allow the person to ever become drug free. Are there any comments or questions?

But I get horrid migraines and have these Butal with 30mg COD and was wondering if withdrawal would take place because of Naloxone? Bbuck ## It won't hurt. It won't help. How are you doing? All of the medications you've mentioned carry the risk of being habit forming, since they are all narcotics, so you really need to be careful about taking more than prescribed and then adding in others that haven't been prescribed for you. I also do not have an answer for you on when you can take the Methadone, generally the doctors that prescribe Suboxone have been specially trained in its use and would advise someone on that. Does anyone have any tips on treating the headaches that goes along with the suboxone? I have had chronic pain issues my whole adult life. I have been very surprised that the suboxone helps my pain very much. I just can't stand these headaches. ## Hello, Cj! How are you? I'm sorry about the headaches. Have you tried any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, if your doctor approves of you taking them, such as Advil or Aleve? Since you're on Suboxone, other narcotics won't work, but many people get relief with NSAIDs. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
