Strong Muscle Relaxer

I have severe back and hip pain, my right hip has dropped down almost a half inch causing my back bone to off center. I have tried multiple forms of treatment with no success. I have taken a variety of muscle relaxers, and none of them have worked. I am currently taking 20 mg of baclofen 3 times a day. It's this something I can increase in dosage, or is there a stronger muscle relaxer? I really NEED to relieve the tension in my hip. ## Hello, Megan! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. You shouldn't take more of the Baclofen than your doctor has prescribed. Taking to much could cause dangerous depression of the central nervous system, which could be fatal, since it can lower heart rate and breath rate. Which other ones have you tried? Soma, which contains the...

I've been taking the muscle relaxers flexeril 10mg 2x a day and or methocarbamol 750mg 3-4x a day. Neither of them work. What is the strongest relaxer I can ask my dr for. I suffer from low back pain daily. ## I am so much pain, and feel like i have tried everything, I just want relief. I can not move my neck. I'm on soma 2 tabs 350mg, 4 times day. is there anything stronger? ## i have had good luck with Zanaflex. small round orange pill.. has number A301 ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Cyclobenzaprine, a generic for Flexeril. This, however, is NOT the strongest muscle relaxant available, Soma or Skelaxin are both much stronger, this one is fairly mild. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. You can read more on this medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## My insurance refuses to copay for Soma, when I asked my De about it he said that a would have a difficult tile finding a Dr who would write a script for Soma as they found that it was addicting.

Is there a rebate card available for Soma? I have ins. but it's still an expensive co-pay. ## Um I get 90 pills for about $1.92, Soma is very inexpensive, on the Walmart $4.00 list ## I have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder and it goes across and down my back causing my muscle to stand up on my shoulder and it's painful and burns. Soma 350mg helps but my doctor said they couldn't write them anymore. I have tried different muscle relaxers and none work but soma (carisoprodol). Does anyone have feedback on the efficacy of methocarbamol?

There is no imprint. Any idea on if this is foreign or illicit? Appears to be very strong. ## If there are no markings, it can be ruled out as being a U.S. prescription medication. Thus, the options are that it is something available over the counter, a foreign medication, or an illicit substance. Where was it obtained?

I was recently stabbed 3 times while I was out for a morning jog. I'm in pain and it's hard for me to relax so I could get better. My doctor is close with my family so he doesn't want to give me the stronger meds I need. I think if he was stabbed he would understand. ## I need some kind of meds, Im In pain I can't sleep and these doctors don't want to prescribe me any thing, because there's a lot of immature people out there dying from taking to many. But I was stabbed 3 times by some people I don't know almost died don't know if they are going to come back for me. I have major problems can anyone help me out please

My insurance company stopped filling my prescription of Soma because it is not in their health care plan formula. What are the top five that work as well as Soma (Carisoprodol)? ## Then Stan you reach in your pocket and pull out the $4 it costs for Soma. I pay $2. The insurance company doesn't dictate what medicines you can take, only which ones they might not pay for? ## Unfortunately, there is really no top options list that anyone can give you, there are no others that are as strong as Soma, at this time, and which other one might help can vary from person to person. If you can't afford to pay for it out of pocket, as Eddy suggested, you might want to consult your doctor about which one they think would be best for you to try. Personally, I had great results with Skelaxin, wh...

I have been on soma for about eight years. It really is the only muscle relaxer to really help. But recently most all doctors here in Georgia have stopped prescribing them. Do you know why this would be and are there any other muscle relaxers that may be similar to soma? ## The laws were changed a few years ago and Soma was made a controlled substance. You will find better medicine in the Muscle Relaxer family although it will not feel like Soma does ## There is really none comparable, it was the strongest one available. I've done well with both Flexeril and Skelaxin, but they may not work as well for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have degenerative spine disea...

I start a new muscle relaxer tonight called Baclofen. I'd been taking Soma fit years and it's just not helping with the terrible spasms anymore. I'm hoping the Baclofen does the trick. Does anyone know if it's stronger than Soma? I hate taking new meds. I'll make my husband stay up awhile to make sure I don't have a bad reaction. ## Hello, Donna! How are you? No, it is not as strong as Soma. Soma is actually the strongest muscle relaxant available. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Baclofen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Have you taken it, yet? If so, did you experience any problems? ## Hi Donna, how's it going? I take High-Dose Baclofen (currently 150mg a day titrating up to 350mg a day) for alcoholism. I do get some...

I'm taking Norco 10/325 & soma 350mg twice a day. They no longer work. I have cronic lymes disease 5 year's now. Pain & fatigue migraines & a whole bunch of symptoms. I need something stronger. I'm exhausted &can't work after 30 years in banking, I'm can't work anymore. What do you recommend for pain medication. I've done every thing thèy gave me to cure lymes nothing worked. I'm done. Just treat the pain. Help me! ## Percocet is slightly stronger. Fentanyl is a long term pain med without the highs and lows experienced with breakthrough drugs like Norco. Migraine meds, non narcotiv nerve meds like gabepentin, muscle relaxers like Valium, lots of choices! ## What M3sue has posted is correct, there are plenty of other options available....

which is stronger femara or Soma muscle relaxers? ## Femara is not a muscle relaxant, Femara contains the active ingredient Letrozole, it is a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor that is most commonly used to treat hormonally responsive breast cancer. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol and it is a muscle relaxant, it works well for some people, but not for all. Was there some other medication you were thinking, rather than Femara?

Is this the same as a soma muscle relaxer? If not, is it as strong as a soma? I'm needing to know because my little girl found it under her bed. ## Not the same but in the family! 832 BC 20 (Baclofen 20 mg) ## Eddy is correct. This tablet contains 20mgs of Baclofen, it is not as strong, but is still a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything I can help with?

The pill is a muscle relaxer which is now illegal in europe. Only people who are dying can get this and it is very strong. Link from norwegian pharmacist: felleskatalogen.no/medisin/identifikasjonssok/40105793 ## For anyone that isn't familiar with it and doesn't read Norwegian… This contains the active ingredient Carisoprol, it is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 350mgs. There have been more restrictions put on it in the U.S., as well, due to frequent abuse. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Are there any questions or concerns?

dan on one side ane 5443 on the other side ## Your Dan Dan pill is a very strong muscle relaxer. Just google it for more information. They are not something to be driving a car on. They make most people very sleepy. Hope your friend gets better. ## And that information is completely INCORRECT! This is NOT a muscle relaxant of any kind and is NOT even close to that class of medications. Here's an image: Pill Image This pill IS Prednisone 20mgs, a corticosteroid used for pain and inflammation. It is also used for allergic reactions. If you are not certain what something is, you SHOULD NOT just post a guess. What if they believed you and took this? It has the potential to react adversely with many other meds and they could end up in the hospital with serious repercussions. Not to menti...

Is Soma a good muscle relaxer? Right now I'm taking Tizanidine which is not working very good. I use to take Soma but they were cutting that out so I just asked for something else. Is DAN 5658 any better? ## No Dan 5658 is not SOMA. They do however make a decent SOMA ## Cyclobenzaprine is a bit stronger than Tizanidine, but it really depends on how well it works for you. Soma is the strongest available, it contains Carisoprodol, but due to how often it is abused, many doctors will no longer prescribe it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of muscle relaxants as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Have you tried taking it, yet?

i have 2 different types of muscle relaxers that i stored in the same bottle. the 1st is white with DAN on one side and 5658 on the other. the second is tan/orange and has M on one side and 751 on the other. i am assuming they are the same medicine- cyclobenzaprine- in different strengths. which is stronger? ## Both pills in description are Cyclobenzaprine HCl (10 mg). M 751 is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. DAN 5658 is manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... Can this muscle relaxer be taken to help with anxiety? ## Yes, as it has some similar properties as anti anxiety medicine. However Soma can also cause anxiety too! ## @Laura, I just did some research and read that Soma (Carisoprodol) can be used for anxiety like Eddy mentioned, however, it's not often prescribed for that because since it's a muscle relaxer it can actually have strong sedation effects. Also, Soma is only meant to be used in the short-term, often less than three weeks. There is a natural muscle relaxer known as valerian root that I've tried for anxiety but it also works for insomnia, and well, it definitely made me calm but also very very sleepy just like the Soma might do. I've also tried holy basil for anxiety- which doesn't make me tired at all! I t...

small circle shaped with GG 724 on one side and nothing on the other side ## I was just wondering if this pill is a muscle relaxer or if it is a high dose of valium? ## Actually, it is NEITHER of those choices. This is Naproxen Sodium 250mgs, a prescription strength of the same stuff you will find in Aleve or its generic equivelents, but a little stronger of a dosage. It is a generic for Naprosyn, so it is neither a muscle relaxer nor a Valium, nothing related to either of the two. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, same class as Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Etodola, Diclofenac and others.
