I suddenly stopped taking Suboxone when my suboxone Dr. Who was located 35 miles away, was arrested for writing himself xanex prescriptions. Being from a rural area there wasn't a local doctor that prescribed it, so after 3.5 straight years of taking 4 to 6 mg. A day. I suddenly had no medicine and no doctor so I decided to quit. I didn't gradually cut down, I just stopped. This was in June of 2013. I had a SEVERE MIGRAINE FOR 28 days straight the week after I ran out of Suboxone .i was hospitalized 4 times, and given Daladen. I actually thought my brain would explode ! It was horrible . DO NOT quit cold turkey after being in this medicine for a long time . ## So I was only doing about 1mg orally for a week or 2 straight. Now I have a swollen tounge, sores in my mouth and someth...

How do you stop Contrave when you are at your goal weight? Do you go down in dosage or stop cold turkey? ## Follow the titration schedule in reverse. Just as you had to gradually increase the dosage you must gradually decrease it. ## At first I didn't realize that Contrave (bupropion/naltrexone) carried the risk of serious withdrawal symptoms associated with an abrupt cessation of treatment; similar to opioids, benzodiazepines, SSRI's, etc... Although with bupropion being an antidepressant I could certainly see how starting and stopping it might negatively impact the brain's chemical balance. But when it comes to naltrexone being an opioid antagonist (blocking the opioid receptors / endorphins) I had initially gotten the sense that discontinuing naltrexone under a cold turke...

I have jAFib with accompanying shortness of breath and since taking Losartan 25 mg daily, the SOB has been much worse, I cannot walk 100 feet without having to stop and catch my breath. I also take Atenolol for low blood pressure. Can I stop the Losartan abruptly without any consequences? ## Hello, Joan! How are you? It would be best to consult your doctor and follow their instructions. It could be that your blood pressure is going too low, so you may need to adjust the dosage of one of these medications, or stop taking it. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with?

I stopped taking Levothyroxine cold because my script ran out and I had to go to Doctor for a refill and we were leaving on an extended trip. I didn't think it would be any big deal. After about 8-9 weeks my hair began falling out at an alarming rate. I am back on 25 mcg alternating to 50 mcg every other day, after returning home and getting to Dr. She wasn't as concerned with hair loss as she was my suddenly stopping so she spent time cautioning me to not let it happen again. My concerns, how long will it continue to fall out and will it grow back? Also since going back on it I am very nauseous and have a headache, will this discontinue after awhile? I do not recall feeling like this when I initially began taking 2 years ago. ## Hello, Diane! How are you doing? Has there been a...

gynic has prescribed glycomate 500 mg for conceiving fast for three months. i stopped after one month. after stopping that headache started on the left side of the brain, drowsiness nausea, feeling of craziness started. what r the reasons behind it ? ## Hello, Banerjee! How are you? This medication will not help someone to conceive any faster than normal. Are you sure that's what it was prescribed for? Does the woman possibly suffer from PCOS/PCOD? It is sometimes used to treat that by improving insulin resistance. And it sounds like the person's blood sugar may have shot up too high, once they stopped taking it. Has their doctor been consulted, yet? This medication is normally used by diabetics to help lower and control blood sugar levels.

When I started taking Rosuvas 5, my LDL was well within the safe limit. I developed Rheumatoid Arthritis and the Doctor prescribed OXCQ 200 along with Rosuvas 5. The doctor is not easily available. ## I was regularly taking Rosavill 10 . I could not continue the medicine for a period of 2 months due to unavoidable circumstances. Short history, when I was younger, I struggled so much with attentiveness, motivation, understanding, etc. My teacher thought it would be best if I stayed behind so they can better help me. I did stay back but I was not helped. Of course I did not know this atthe ttime. Couple of years later I'm still doing poorly and I did not know why. Some time later, I heard of adhd. And the similarities were spot on but, I was embarrassed to admit it and instead I wrote it off as me being lazy. After awhile I accepted it as my reality and completely convinced myself this is what it was. This made for years of agonizing school time. Barley passing and only advancing due to no child left behind. Afterwards, my life was filled with losing jobs and just messing everything up when the opportunity ar...

if i have been taking a 30 day supply of endocet and run out and then stop taking it after my last pill what will happen??? ## i would like to stop my bupropion xl tabs (300mg) i take one a day. what is the best way to do this, what are the side effects! ## what will happen if i stop taking medicine thyronorme 100mcg ## Regarding the Endocet, even though it is a narcotic, if you've only been taking it for 30 days, stopping it shouldn't result in any severe issues. You may experience some mild withdrawal symptoms, so it may be annoying for a few days, but they should pass fairly quickly. However, everyone is different, so this may not apply to you and if you suffer serious issues you should consult your doctor. The Bupropion works on brain chemicals, so if you've been taking i...

So today is day three of not taking my blood pressure meds (Irbesartan) with Dr approval. This morning my BP was elevated to 136/96 and I have a headache. Is this normal and ok or should I be worried? ## The 96 is a little high, but nothing severely dangerous. Why did your doctor have you stop taking it and how much were you taking? The FDA warns that other withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased heart rate. ## was taking 300 mg and I had lost quite a lot of weight. My Bp has been 110/77 so we thought we’d try taking me off to see how I do. I have a Bp machine so I can watch it

Hi. I suffered a brain injury 14 years ago and have since been through various meds to help control depression, anxiety and digestive issues. I ve been through several anti deppressant drugs like fluoxetine, zoloft, sertraline, citralopram and some others that i can't remember. I ve had adverse effects from all of them, my neurologist says it may not be direct depression but a chemical imbalance in my brain. My new gp said that as i ve had a bad reaction to the other mentioned pills that I should try propanalol 10mg 3 times daily to slow my heart down and therefore ease my anxiety. The 10mg propanalol gave me horrible nightmares and difficulty getting to sleep. I told the doctor and she proceeded to put me on 80mg slow release. I ve been taking them for 4 weeks, 1 daily in the morni...

My doctor prescribed 50 mg of Trazadone to help me sleep. I have horrible insomnia, had it for years. I started taking it like a month ago. At first it worked wonderfully, was able to fall asleep and while I still woke many times was able to get right back to sleep. Felt like a new person! Now suddenly it's stopped working! I'm wide awake every night till about 4 am, then up at 6 for the day. This sucks! I should add I also take Paxil during the day for anxiety. What should I do? Is this normal? I was all set to take this pill forever, didn't think it would quit working so quickly. Thanks for any input/advice! ## Hello, Beth! How are you? Has anything else change regarding your sleep habits? My doctor suddenly stopped prescribing my Norco 10/325 after two plus years. Sent me to a pain med doctor who didn't even look at my records and gave me nothing and told me to come back in two weeks, after charging me $250.00. What options do I have now? I am in Florida. Thanks for any feedback. ## Hi Kittkatt, I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. I don't know of any doctors to refer you to, but I just thought I'd ask if you've considered trying any other methods of pain management besides medication? The medication may help take the away the pain temporarily, but won't necessarily heal the underlying issues that could be causing your pain to continue. Some people have had success with acupuncture, acupressure, CBD/THC from cannabis, raw vegan d...

I live n north Atlanta, ga. And suddenly no pharmacy (been to 6 so far) will fill my scripts. And each has a different reason than the next, yet none accusing me of any wrong doing. Been on severe pain control since .2005. No new meds at all... Why? ## What reasons have you been given? There have been a lot of problems on the east coast recently. A lot of issues are due to the fact that the limits on how much of these medications any pharmacy can order in each month are now being strictly enforced. This is causing many pharmacies to run out and they can't order in a new supply until the following month. ## I have had the exact same problem and I don't know what to do. I am almost out and still trying to find. I live in Loganville. Have you had any luck finding? ## Suddenly stopp...

I've been on Nuzak for 4 months now and stopped using it about 5 days ago. Last night I had this pain between my breasts and my gums, can it be a side effect? Otherwise I feel fine. ## Hello, Mandy! How are you? Where was the pain located? Your breast and gums are quite far apart. Did you mean chest pain or mouth pain? If you stopped taking it suddenly, then yes you may experience withdrawal effects, but if you're having chest pain, you need to have that checked out as soon as possible.

I would like to stop taking Detrol LA. Do I need to stop at once or go off of it slowly. My eyes have been getting worse since being on the drug. ## It really depends on how long you have been taking it regularly, if it has been several months to a year or more, then you will probably need to slowly taper off of it. You should speak with your doctor about the problems you are having with it and they can probably help you with the best way to stop taking it. Anytime you are taking a med for a long period of time, your body gets used to having it, this is called Dependence and if you try to stop suddenly, you will suffer some mild withdrawal symptoms. ## I loved that Detrol let me sleep through the night Besides dry eye and throat I’m dizzy and exhausted a lot and I get out of breat...

I was prescribed neugaba m75 for 1ce daily and its been 4 month's now. I have suddenly stopped eating this medicine and experience severe pain in my arm and shoulder due to nerve compression around c6 and c7. I was feeling much better but now again back to square one. B pls let me know what to do ## Hello, Guarav! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. If you stopped taking it, that is most likely why you're in pain again. This medication can help alleviate pain, but it is not a cure for the problem that was causing the pain. Have you consulted your doctor?
