how to stop taking lyrica after only 3 weeks
3 Replies RSS
I've only been taking lyrica for 3 weeks. 75mg twice a day for a week then 150 mg twice a day for 2 weeks. I need back surgery and lyrica isn't something I should have been subscribed. The specialist told me to stop taking it but now I'm reading that I need to wean off. Do I still need to wean off if I've only been on it 3 weeks? The Dr. went on vacation for 3 weeks so I can't ask him ## I have been using Lyrica 200 mg twice a day in excess of a year. My pharmacy failed to request a refill request as they said they would and I was out for about 5 days. I've had 5 toes amputated and had pain in my feet. During the period I was out, it felt like pins & needles (or your feet waking up from being asleep) all the way up to my knees! The dr. explained that this is ... ...

Muscle tightness in jaw and knees while taking Flecainide
2 Replies RSS
I started taking flecainide in Aug after being diagnosed with a-fib. In September I noticed my jaw getting tight and popping while chewing. I had TMJ when I was younger, so I pulled out the mouth piece and wore it for a couple of weeks at night. This seems to help, but I've also noticed pain in my knee as if the muscles seem to not want to straighten out. Sometimes the pain radiates into my feet and toes. Icing helps some but it is very frustrating since I'm on my feet all the time. ## I was taking flecainide along with elequis and ached all over. I stopped the flecainide. However my jaws still ached and the top of my legs still ached including the knee pain. I have gone off the elequis (blood thinner) for short periods and problem goes away. Was given this to replace OTC pain meds. too 2 at 2pm, and a further 2 at bedtime Alarm got me up at 4 to go to work, on getting out of bed got cold sweats, had a shower to pull myself together. Was woken by a co worker, on getting up off the floor again vomited. Sipped week tea and by 1230 was "ok" to drive home, there I slept for 4 hours and was spacy until midnight. took till mid morning the following day for me to feel human again. Doctor forgot to tell me to take 1 to see how they work for me. Have been using mesulid for cronic knee pain from osteoartritis. It has been the only medication that has stopped the inflamation and pain. I was prescribed from a pharmacy in Greece. Here in the states I can't get it. ## I experienced severe muscle spasms in the States after Physical Therapy for my upper back. We traveled to Greece in August of 2009, a week after the symptoms first appeared, and while I was still in incredible physical pain. A doctor here prescribed Mesulid, until he could see me, once he returned from vacation, 4 days after the prescribed medication. It hasn't been a super drug yet, but it HAS helped lessen my symptoms, and helped me cope a bit better. It has also made me drowsy and yesterday, 2 days after administration, I have a dull headache. Sorry about the pain that you're in. The two ingredients are 7.5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The Acetaminophen can have some slight blood thinning effect, so I'd suggest checking with your doctor, before taking it, to see if it is safe for you to do so. Learn more Lortab details here. Since it contains a narcotic, it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, dizziness and constipation. Am normally healthy 59 yr old female, active swimmer, jogger & golfer. ## Hello, Menaches! How are you? Have you had this checked out by your doctor? My Dr. switched me from oxycontin to diulaudid (4-8 mg) and it worked for the first 9 mos. or so, then I got no relief. Many people get sick on it or very itchy. I am now on a higher dosage of Percoset. ## Are you familiar with subutex? ## No, I'm not. ## It is a new drug that has some pain killing ability. It is a controlled substance. I am a 65 year old woman and I was put on xarelto 20mg in Oct 2015. I have knee pain and thigh pain, so I called my doctor and he took me off, but I still have the pain. How long does it remain in your system for? I stopped the meds on Dec 28th 2015. ## Hello, Moe! How are you feeling? Since you were taking it for several months, it could take 2 weeks, or so, for things to improve. You should start to see a gradual improvement, as time passes, if not, then you should consult your doctor, again. Other typical side effects that the FDA lists for this medication include nausea, headache and easy bruising. Can anyone else that's had to stop taking this medication chime in? ...

You may also experience nausea, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. They should go away, in a few weeks, once your body adjusts to the medication. Can i take nediclon diclofenaco 100 mg with ibuprofen
1 Reply RSS
My husband is taking prescribed ibuprofen 800mg but is still in much knee pain and a friend gave him this medicine before going to the doctor and took it but forgot to ask doctor if he can continue it and doctor never mentioned if he should stop it ## No, he should not take them both. Both Diclofenac and Ibuprofen are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so it would be essentially doubling up on the same medication and could increase the risk of him experiencing dangerous bleeding episodes, stomach ulceration and liver damage, as reported by the FDA. He should check with his doctor to see which one is safest for him to take. Is there anything else I can help with? ...
