When ever I am constipated on and off I take Dulcolax 2 tabs before bed. My stomach is cleaned for that day but the next day am constipated again and the whole day it effects my mood. Can I take this laxative everyday will it becomes habit forming and always make me constipated Please advise _ Thanks

I had a pain in my stomach and loose motion for last two or three days .yesterday fresh blood came after stool than I went to doctor .He suggested me Zenflox oz twice daily for five days ,Enterogermuna twice daily for three days and Redotil capsules three times daily for three days .today no fresh blood in stool but it was black.is it due to Ofloxocin ?should I continue with it or change the medicine .Please suggest . ## Same condition is with me.and even doctor prescribed me the same medicine and even for same time.even she recommended me livogen tablets for a month and I have taken it for 21 days and since last 3 days my stool are black.??..is it due to livogen tablet??what should I do now?

I am a 24 yr old thin female. It has been on and off for awhile now but had turned consistent. It's not a normal loose stool or diarrhea. It's just slimy and very very dark almost black but then turns the water yellow. It's not a mucous consistency and almost seems to have bile in it. Only other symptoms are extreme fatigue and sleeplessness and occasionally light headedness/dizzy spells. What could this be and should I be concerned? ## Hello, LylaClark! How are you? My husband was diagnosed with RCC in Sept. 2011. Just started on Torisel infusions and after 1st infusion he had terrible constipation, stomach pain and very tired. Took a laxative and then diarrhea. Had 2nd infusion yesterday and now has had three black stools. We are really worried. I have been taking omeprazole 20 mg daily for at least 5 years because of GERD. Starting this past January I have had loose stools and my GP attributes it possibly to the omeprezole. As a result he changed me to ranitidine 150 twice daily. This medication does nothing for my GERD. I have gotten to a point that I would rather have the loose stools than the GERD problem. I go back to my GP next week. I am having loose motions from last 4-5 days. Loose motions are with stomach ache. The frequency is 4-5 times a day. After 2-3 days blood was followed after stools. My doctor prescribed me Zenflox. I have taken two dose of zenflox but still the problem continues. Today morning I have taken 3rd dose and 3 more dose to be taken. Will Zenflox certainly be useful ?or any other alternative medicine to be taken ?

Will lomitol harden stools or just slow down quantity and frequency? I have permanent coloscopy (about a foot removed)and some days I poop most of day. I take 2 in am and 2 in pm. Also take Imodium around 6/7 tabs daily. This combination helps but some days I still produce a little at a time. ## I reside in Fort Mill South Carolina. I noticed that Glycomet 1gm tablet in my stools floating in the water in the morning.This observation is for the first time.I was of the opinion that the tablet is fast dissolving in the stomach to be very effective.That it has gone trough the alimentary canal without losing its shape is surprising me. I have picked the same and kept in water in a small container to see if it dissolves.Till the time of writing this report the tablet has remained undissolved.
