What medication can i use for sever pain from a STOMACH ULCER can only get a appointment to see a specialist in 5weeks time my GENERAL PRACTITIONER has prescribed me TRAMACET it contains 37.5mg Tramadol HCI and 325mg Paracetamol and i must take 2 TRAMACET'S 3 times a day is that to much or is there other pain medication i can use the pain is unbelivably painful. I am 43year old male and i am from SOUTH AFRICA i have lost 31.7kg in the past 28 days due to this problem please can someone give possible solutions. ## Are you taking anything for the ulcer? I was diagnosed In February this year with a haemorrhaging stomach ulcer. Biopsies showed no H-Pylori and no cancer but some baterial activity. I have no typical ulcer symtoms no pain and no acid reflux. I have been treated with anti-biotics and flagil plus a blood transfusion in February and again in June on account of red blood cell count being below 7. I have also been on Topzole since February and the dose of Topzole has been doubled since June. Since I do not suffer from acid reflux is Topzole the correct drug for me? I am 75 years old and am now worried about breaking bones. I am a bit dizzy, with itchy skin and often have hot flushes. Can hot flushes be side effect of Topzole? She had two small stomach ulcers 12 years ago caused by H Pylori bacteria ## @Richard, Based on my research, regular use of aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can actually raise your risk for stomach ulcers. Although taking NSAIDs once in a while is safe for most people. Is Ibuprofen something your wife uses often? ## She just needs effective painkillers for a short time as she recovers from a hysterectomy. She started on paracetamol + codeine, but suffered problems with constipation from the codeine.

Was just wondering how can I keep from getting sick to my stomach all the time when I take my meds. ## You might try packing your med's in food, eat a little, take pill,eat again,take pill etc.. I take Lisinopril at bedtime,along with couple other med's, and have no problem but I usually eat a little bit with it. You may be taking too many at once, divide them up. Chk with your Dr or Pharm. to get the best advice . Hope this helps. ## I have always had the same problem, and food is definitely the key- taking pain medications+empty stomach = ulcer. My first time taking it, it made me nauseous and tired with diarrhea. I went to my dr to find out that I had a hole in my stomach and bleeding. Could this have been caused by 10/325 Norco? ## How long were you taking it? That is not an issue that would normally occur with just short term use. I've got a grandson that has been hurting around the stomach area and can't eat much. He has little appetite and nausea most of the time. He's had his gallbladder tested and a ct scan couldn't find anything. He throws up a lot. He is only 19, did weights but now lost 30 lbs in a month. He stays stressed out. He has aspergers and just met a girl 18 months ago. She has a stunt growth problem and tells him she can't marry him unless he has a really good job. Been off Gabapentin for months now and feeling much better..still having some stomach issues, bloating, low appetite and small stomach ache. Dr. had me try Zantac and it does help some. I have 2 weeks taken velviq and I have 2 days having a sensation in my right side it feels like gald blather pain .I have my remove 5 years ago and the pain is horrible, I can compare this pain similar to that one and is hard to bread. Is Gastritis,Ulcer , Acidity - all mean the same ? Gas released out by farting and belching are same ? I am having Gas trouble and recent days acid secretion and in endoscopy found that lower end of esophagus had been eroded. Doctor has suggested me to take Omeprazole and Rabiprazole tablets. But I am unable to get cure. Even 4 hours after taking my food I feel like vomiting (due to gas pushing my food upward) and if I vomit I can see the food item in the same form that I ate. for eg.
