Stomach Feeding Tube

A woman in her late seventies had the upper portion of her stomach wrapped around her lower esophagus to help with her acid reflux. Now with a feeding tube and taking Osmolite, she continues to suffer from heartburn and also diarrhea. She is very weak. Are there any alternatives to Osmolite; preferably non-dairy? ## Her doctor should really be consulted about this.

They are really the only person that is going to be able to help discover the answer to this dilemma and find a solution. There may be an ingredient in the Jevity that doesn't agree with you, perhaps you're sensitive to it, or allergic. ## Perhaps it's the cheap ingredients and GMO s that keep company profits high and people sick! ## I suspect that Jevity is causing lots of mucus is there a substitut...

We recently were given 6 cases of Jevity 1.5 cal. The expiration date reads 1SEP07. My husband vomited immediately after feeding through the tube in his stomach. Shouldn't Jevity still be ok to use after 5 months shelf-life? ## Can I use calcium tablets MFD: 04/2007 EXP: 03/2009 ## If you need help with drugs please ask God for healing just say out loud now Jesus I believe and I accept you in my heart please heal me and free my mind and turn me into your helper. I know this will help you. ## On the Jevity, I am sorry,. I don't know, however, since it is a product for nutrition, I would suggest it is probably NOT a good idea to use past the expiration date. Ramnarine, they don't get dangerous past the expiration, but will slowly lose some of their potency. Are there any other...

My husband has had a GJ tube since Feb 25/15. He is experiencing extreme abdominal pain for about 4 hours each evening, starting about 4:30pm. His feedings start about 5:30-6pm. No one has an answer for us. We tried breaking the feedings up from 15 hours, to 2 or 3 sessions, no help. Also, he has red, awfully sore skin in the groin area since starting the feedings as well. Is this a burn from strong urine caused from the feedings? We have tried medication, ointments and NOTHING is helping this poor man! Any help would be much appreciated. ## Jevity has been known to cause side effects, such as nausea, stomach burning, stomach pain, bowel problems, and diarrhea, in some people that take it, according to FDA reports. However, I haven't found any reports, at this time, of it causing ur...
