That can be a side effect of most steroids, you may also experience dry skin, redness, irritation and weight gain, as reported by the FDA. Typically, such side effects are transient and will start to go away in a few weeks, once you finish your course of treatment with the steroid. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is methocarbamol (robaxin) a steroid or anti-depressant? I started using it two months ago in Apr 2013 and I am experiencing severe mood swings. The two things that cause me mood swings is IM, IV, or oral steroids or any type of anti-depressant. I'm becoming reclusive, angry and noncommunicative. This happens every time I'm exposed to either drug category. I know depressants can also cause these side effects, but I've had lots of those without side effects whereas I've never taken one of the aforementioned without them. I recently started tren. I have worked out little due to being busy the past few days but I'm super sore. Any thoughts? ## I'm just curious, is Trenbuterol the correct name or spelling? All my searches yield results for Trenbolone and/or Clenbuterol, but not the one you mentioned here... Ironically, the prefix and suffix of Trenbuterol sounds like a combination of those two names I stumbled upon. Any clarification on that would be much appreciated. Experienced COPD Flare, started 40mg with taper, Subsequent hospitalization when symptoms (Respiratory) became dire 2 days later. Then IV Steroid for 5 days in hospitalization, then two 40mg does with Levaquin after hospitaization, then off. Suffered another COPD Flare 5 weeks after hospitalization, again 40mg with taper. Severe side effects, including Steroid Psychosis/Mania. Diagnosed with Mania 11/01/14 Been prescribed very gradual increase of Lamotrigine. I was wondering I take 2 puffs of Qvar twice a day it is a steroid does it make one fat since it is a steroid ## QVar contains the active ingredient Beclomethasone. I've been using 100mcg patch Fentanyl every 48 hours for months now. Last week my neurologist had to prescribe me a Medrol-Dos Pak (steroids) because the pain in my knee became unbearable, even with pain medication. It was too early to get another shot. So, I'm now on DAY 3 of the DOSE PAK, and I swear these patches start wearing off after only 1 day! Out of the blue I started feeling horrible withdrawal symptoms yesterday, even though I wasn't due to change the patch until today. I had no choice but to replace the patch early. I figured maybe it was a defective patch. But now TODAY I am experiencing the same problem. If these are not defective patches, then the only factor possible is the steroid medication having an effect on the medication/or my body's tolerance level...

I started Butrans 10 on 4/30. Had amazing relief. I felt better than I had in years. I caught a cold around April 20th. Went straight to my chest. My Dr thought I had walking pneumonia and started me on a course of steroids and antibiotics. 10 days later, no improvement, chest xray clear but wheezing and heavy with breathing. Dr. gave another round of steroids and antibiotics. This past weekend, I started to feel like a brand new cold came on me. Severe head congestion, terrible cough, the works. I went to urgent care. That Dr. told me it was allergy related. He gave a decadron shot, Z pak, started me on Zyrtec, albuterol inhaler. Today is the first day I have started to feel a little better. I just started a new job at a call center, we are very busy right now and i suffer from anxiety and panic disorder. I just started my methylprednisone pack and after reading the side effects im afraid the nervousness will affect me at work. I take prozac, clonazepam, triavil and trazadone. Should i be taking this steroid? ## Hello, Candie! How are you? Yes, it can cause anxiety as a side effect in some people, as reported by the FDA, along with the nervousness, insomnia, acne and irritability. However, it shouldn't completely negate your other medications, so they should still help. It may, however, slightly reduce the effect of the Triavil and Trazodone. Have you consulted your doctor? They may want you to temporarily increase your Clonazepam, while on this steroid.

I had bronchial asthma and went on Symbicort for about five weeks. Started to feel worse and worse. No energy - couldn't stand up at one point. Went to emergency twice. Had very low potassium. Had to supplement. It seems the Symbicort was Depleting my potassium levels. I'm ever felt so bad in my life. Thought I was dying. No, these two generally shouldn't be taken together, due to the increased risk of GI ulceration, from them increasing the toxicity of each other. It would be best to speak to your doctor regarding what you can safely take with the Methylprednisolone. As to it, the FDA classifies it as a steroid and, for it to be most effective, you should take the full dose pack, as prescribed, with no shortcuts. Is there a pain specialist that can control my pain without making out like I'm seeking drugs? I've done everything except surgery. The surgery would be extensive. 8 hour surgery with intensive rehab. I'm tiered of trying to get the steroid shots because they can not do them as frequently as I need. My doctor just started me on a round of steroids. She said not to take my naproxin with it. Forgot to ask if I can take my flexerol with it. Can I do that ? ## Hello, Carol! How are you?
