Does this drug cause itching of the extremities? I have noticed, after using this drug for @ 5 months, that I have itching on the hands and feet, and when I scratch it gives a burning sensation. I have heard these drugs affect liver adversely --is it true? I have been advised 20mg dose every day. I am 71, For first time in my life colestorel shoot up to 215 mg/dl else it has never gone beyound 185. Doctor prescribed Stator 10, i took a pill every night. I lost apatite do not feel to eat anything, 3 kg weight loss in 10 days, weakness. I am diabetic but under controlled taking Glynase since 1999, earlier the dose was 5mg XL-SR, now incresed twice regular instead XL-SR. Is my lost in apetite and weight due to Stator? I had bypass surgery for triple vessel disease in dec2005 for throat pain while walking.Now my BP is 170/78,162/75,150/70.I am now taking metocard xl50 at 6am and 4pm,valent80 at9pm,deplatt A 75 at 2pm,stator 20 at 9pm.Please suggest any other medications needed to bring down the BP to normal and also the reason for my hypertension.
