Day four of 1st Chantix use. Have to stop w/ chronic bronchitis and am using the support system online of exercises. Will use the coach line. Slight headache or from the coughing? Tired a bit or from not exercising enough which helps my energy level and need to knock off pounds. A walk this morning helped with a tape of an inspirational author I love. Then I got depressed for awhile missing my deceased parents and self loathing over my nicotine addicted life. I can't imagine using this medicine with other meeds, alcohol, or if I had mental illness so people have to do it with their doctor. It's like with all scripts--read and beware. I'm optimistic w/o nausea and I am a writer and find odd dreams fascinating anyway. I had breast cancer 4 years ago and it was caught early. Bu...

For several months I was taking Coreg tabs, 12.5 mg 2X day. I had mitral valve repair, and my MD doubled my dosage. Now I can barely move or concentrate--and have almost no energy. How long does getting acclimated to this drug at my docage take. I find this drug's side affects to be almost worse than my symptoms??? ## According to the FDA, Coreg may cause dizziness, fatigue, increased urination, joint pain, and vision changes as side effects. Ref: Coreg Information How long have you been on the new dosage? Typically, side effects last about 4 to 5 weeks, until your body gets used to the new dose.

I just started taking Celexa tonight 2.5mg to ease into it. I am extremely sensitive to medications. I took prozac last year after devastating miscarriage. I have been off it a year and now my depression and anxiety is back with a vengeance. Help! I feel like my anxiety and depression is worse and it was a super low dose? I'm worried it won't work as I tried to go back on prozac but the side effects were too much. ## Actually, if you read the information provided by the FDA and the NIH, it is very common for this to happen, when you start taking such a medication. They can actually worsen things for about 3 weeks, or so, until your body gets used to the medication. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. However, if you feel that...

Going with 60mg with T level at 275. Will keep you guys posted ## Hi Scott, Just noticed you posted this on the 2nd of May and was wondering how well Axiron's been working for you since then? I came across a few other discussion threads talking about this medication, but their reviews give me the sense that it's really not that effective at all. Maybe your experience is totally different? Discuss/Weight-Gain-and-No-Energy-AXIRON-237890.htm Discuss/Axiron-Estrogen-blocker-238521.htm Any info at all is greatly appreciated! Thanks! :) ## So after two weeks, I noticed the hard on a little stronger. As far as increased energy and losing weight, nothing to notice or report on. I started with 60mg for the first month, one application under each arm pit. I went back to the Dr. and he ga...

My MD started me on Lexapro a little more than a month ago. Started at 5 mg and I got such paranoia that I quit. On follow-up exam he suggested 2.5 mg and I've been doing that for about 3 weeks. Today I upped it to 5 mg. He was talking as high as 40 mg. I see no reason for anyone taking that amount especially with what I'm reading about rats coming down with retinal degeneration and adrenal failure, plus all the symptoms that come from withdrawals. I will stop at 10 mgs. I don't have social anxiety, I have a problem with motivation which I guess stems from some type of depression. ## My heel hurt so back got ## Hello, CatAddict! How are you? My question is I have been on sprintec 9 months and my question is Im going to get married and on that week i finsihsh the white pills so my worry is one i start the blue pilss is there a chance i can get pregnet, i dont miss pilss so am curiosu about that. ## No, as long as you haven't missed any pills, you are still protected from pregnancy for the entire month. You should check with your doctor, before doing this, but it's usually safe for most women to just continue the active pills and skip their periods at a time it would be inconvenient to have it, such as right after you get married. To do so, you would just skip the inactive week and move right on to a new pack of pills. Are there any other questions? ## okay my question is not skipping my period cause two days before t...

Good Day I am on day 4 of using Nuzak and I am feeling so irritable is this normal. ## Hello, Tamz! How are you? Yes, that can be a normal side effect of this medication, I found that it usually goes away after about 3 weeks of taking it. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and weight loss, according to the U.S. FDA. Has there been any change, yet? ## Hi Verwon! Im good thanks Its day 11 and I am still irritable but Thank God all the other side effects have stopped. Do you perhaps know how long it takes before the meds start to make you feel better. Thanks

I've been pretty anxious my whole life. Used Paxil at 15 after a bad experience with drug my anxiety was insane. I then stopped using Paxil after a month and managed to.live with my anxiety. I then had to use cipralex twice because my anxiety went crazy. But always stopped after 3 months. But for 3 years I have been using temazepam 30mg everyday. This pill helped me sleep at night however I didn't know I would end up being so addictive. I feel so happy at night when I take it. Now my anxiety is back and I went to see the doctor because I couldn't stand it... I go shopping and have major anxiety panic attack and feel like I will faint. So I went to see my doctor because first I wanted to stop temazepam and second to help with anxiety.. the thing is that since I started using ...

I WAS PRESCRIBED SAVELLA FOR NEUROPATHY. I'M NOW ON THE HIGHER DOSE WITH LOTS OF HOT FLASHES. PRETTY FOGGY WITH IT ALSO. AS FAR AS THE PAIN, IT SEEMS TO BE HELPING. I'M HOPING THESE HOT FLASHES SUBSIDE AS TIME GOES BY. ## Both of the symptoms you stated can be normal side effects of this medication. How long have you been taking it, now? It may take about 2 weeks, or so, but the side effects should start to taper off as your body adjusts to the medication, but can expect to experience them, again, anytime you are given a higher dosage. So I just got this birth control to start after not being on anything for about 10 yrs. I know you should wait until the first day of your period to start, but can I just start taking it without having to actually start my period? And if so will it become effective immediately? ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? You can start it at any time, but it will take 7 days, before it becomes effective, so you'd need to use a back up form of contraception, until the 8th day. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am 29 and have been dealing with depression and anxiety since I was 15. I have been on and off everything and it seems to work for a few months and then I get no benefit from it even with increased doses. In 2008 I started passing out or becoming unresponsive for a few seconds up to 15 minutes. They told me I was having non epileptic seizures due to stress. It was a stressful time in my life. I saw a psy and went on cymbalta and things seemed to improve but they never went away. Then they thought it was migraine related and I went on topamax and things seemed to improve. I went off cymbalta and stayed on topamax and things were the same. Then I went off everything and had been doing well until a few months ago. I first noticed it while I was driving I felt like I was going to be hit o...

After discussing Contrave with my doctor and doing so research on my own, I believe it may be the final thing I need. I have been working with a trainer for two months and have been diligent about healthy eating and I am losing weight. Fiben my appetite/craving issues, my doctor suggested adding the Contrave to what I am already doing. My only concern is its effect on blood pressure. I have high BP but it is controlled with meds. I am sure the high BP is due in part to the extra weight I am carrying, but I do not want to risk a heart attack or stroke by adding Contrave in my effort to lose that weight. So, I am curious how much of a risk of increased BP is their on Contrave and, given that mine is controlled with meds, will Contrave counteract my BP meds and send my BP into heart attack...

Next week I have a appt. with a DR who prescribes Suboxone. I have been on Fentanyl patches for 8 years now.I am prescribed 150 mcg every 48 hrs. but still feel I am in partal withdrawal most of the time.Does anyone have a similar situation and how bad should the withdrawals be with Suboxone and Xanax if he will still allow them? Also will the suboxone still help with pain? I am scared about the withdrawls since I ran out for 1 day only and it was hell!! Any reply would be appreciated ## Randy,w/d's seemed to be very controllable with suboxone for me,but Im a pain patient once the weather hit below zero 4-6 weeks after sarting suboxone the pain kicked in.Iit was unbearable (worst time in my life) AND they made me stop my xanax. I am 72 years old. I am about to start Flecainide. I have to stay in the hospital for 2-3 nights so that I can be monitored. I have an irregular heart rythm. I am being started on a full dose. I am really scared. I have read about possible side effects. I wish I could be started on a low dose but I am told that by strarting on the full dose I will be monitored to see how I am tolerating it, how effective it is in controlling the arrhythmia and what type of side effects I get from it if any. That way, if there is a reason to lower the dosage they can do it and not have to worry about monitoring me because they already know how I tolerate the full dose and lowering it would not cause me any problems. I am so frightened that I could be sensitive to this medication and a full dose may be to...

Contrave is working great for me, right now I'm taking one in the morning and one in the evening. Having dizzy spells for the first couple hours after taking it and experience some nausea. Lost 13 pounds so far. Can I just keep taking just one pill in the morning and one in the evening? Seems to curving my appetite fairly well. ## Hello, Billy! How are you? You may be able to do that, if your doctor approves of your staying on the lower dose. However, they may not want you to do so, because many people tend to eventually hit a plateau phase, so the higher dosage may be necessary to keep encouraging weight loss. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have just been put on keppra 1000mg twice daily. I took my first dose yesterday and felt very confused, unsteady on my feet. Is that normal? Should I take a lower dose when starting off, perhaps 500mg and work my way up to the higher dose or Gould I just wait it out and hope that the symptoms reduce? ## Hello, Jen! How are you doing? Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetircetam, which is an anticonvulsant. Yes, those types of side effects are common from taking it and they should start to taper off in a few weeks, once your body starts to get used to the medication. If they don't, or if they get too severe, then please consult your doctor. Learn more Keppra details here. You may also experience nausea, mood swings and weight changes. If taken correctly when i first start taking suboxone (first pill) will i feel withdraw symptoms or a buzz,or just normal? ## When you first start it, if your doctor has calibrated the correct dosage, you should not feel any differently. It is intended to be used to prevent the withdrawal symptoms you would experience if you tried to stop cold turkey. You may, however, experience the usual narcotic side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Hello, i an 18 year old and I was just prescribed Tri Sprintec to regulate my irregular periods. I have Hypothyroidism and Anemia (from prolonged heavy bleeding) I'm taking 88mg of Levothryoxine. My most recent period lasted for 31 days. I recently started my period again on Thursday and it is now Tuesday. When should I start taking my pills if I still have my period right now (it is light and the flow stops and starts randomly).
