I need a doc in st Louis who are able to prescribe Xanax i have terrible anxiety ## Hello, Moemoe! How are you? If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, a general practice physician won't be able to prescribe it for you, due to the new regulations set forth by the DEA last year. The FDA lists Xanax as being a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Thus, you'll need to see a psychiatrist. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recomm...

My husband lost his pain doctor. He is in such severe foot pain due to a spinal injury he can barely walk any more. Methadone was the only medication he could function on and not be almost bedfast. He has been on other meds that do not help. The doctor who performed his last surgery can not pinpoint where the pain is coming from and will not operate. We are desperate.

I was in a car accident and am in a lot of pain but due to my age the doctors I have seen think I'm just trying to get pain pills for fun and that's not the case any ideas on doctors in st Louis area who easily write pain scripts ## Hey john doe, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach i...

I need a new pm doc anywhere in Louisiana or nearby state asap. I have med rec;s and legit pain but my doc got n2 trouble and cannot prescribe my meds any longer. ive been on oxy's for years and cant find a doc who will take my case. ## The first question I always find myself asking people in your situation is... How have you been looking for a new doctor? And the reason I'm asking is because if you're calling them and telling them you need to have certain medications prescribed, none of them are likely to even let you get in the door, because most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior. Learn more pain management details here. Thus, what you need to do is set up an appointment with a new doctor and just make sure they get a full copy of your records. When they see w...

In St. Louis MO and need doctor to prescribe Xanax. Just moved back home to St. Louis and am 46 and forgot my old doctor. I need a new one that is able to write Benzos for my anxiety. Please help. ## Technically, any doctor can prescribe it. However, the recent changes to regulations and the push from the DEA to get better control of medications such as this means that it's most likely that a general practitioner won't prescribe it for you long-term, but instead will refer you to a specialist for counseling and medications, if needed. The best thing you can do is just find yourself a new doctor first, rather than trying to find one that will prescribe Xanax. Asking them if they'll do that, before you're an established patient is considered a red flag for drug seeking beh...

Looking for a new pain management doctor. I was a patient of Dr. Padda, he's a total jerk and you have to wait all day, the office is nasty and so are his employees. But, he will write. I had to quit seeing due to a change of insurance. I don't want to go through 20 appointments w various doctors. Just wanting to find someone quick and easy to deal with for my existing pain treatment. ## I was just referred to the padda institute for pain management. I've had one appointment with dr belcher out of the north county location. I can't tell if he will write or not or just do injections. I have done injections and other interventional type before with little success. Have you found anyone yet?

I had been on them for 7 years. ## I don't know who told you that Soma is now a Schedule II in Louisiana, but they are wrong. ## James, I apologize, you are correct. Soma is now a Schedule II in Louisiana. Some in combinations with Codeine Schedule III. It is everyone responsibility to keep up to date on proposed and changing laws, federal and state. ## Why would plain Soma be a 2 and Soma with Codeine a 3? Remind me to stay out of these hick States. In my State the Controlled Schedule 1 drugs are made in homes and apartments and there is nothing done about it. Why? ## U need to check with any pharmacy in Louisiana ## James, Senate Bill 618 is what changed the classification of Soma. Put,...

I've had chronic pain due to autoimmune diseases for several yrs. I have been seeing a PM doctor in another state but now am in Louisville, Ky staying with a family member who has cancer. You can tell them what your health issues are, but if you ask for a particular medication, especially one like this that is a controlled substance, most doctors and their staff are taught to view that as d...
