Dr advised my wife to take this tablet "Dubagest SR 300" after detecting the pregnancy. In its brochure its clearly mentioned that it can be continued for 12 weeks after pregnancy. Now 12 weeks are over but still this tab is prescribed by Dr to continue for more four weeks . Pls advise whether this is ok. Secondly in Contraindication "Dont" of its brochure its mentioned that Progenterone "This tablet" should not be used by women in case of known or suspected pregnancy. What does this mean ?. Is it that when women gets pregnant then it should not be used. Wherein our Dr has already prescribed this tab after getting pregnant. ## Dubagest contained Progesterone, which is a hormone that's vital to a woman's health, as well as her ability to get pregnant and c... ...

Wellbutrin 300mg sr doing nothing after it used to work for me in the past.
3 Replies RSS
Hello, I'm not sure if this is common or not, over the last 4 or 5 years I was on wellbutrin off and on,(mostly on). In the past when I started up again, I always knew it was working because for the first roughly two weeks I would get all the common side effects: Insomnia, tremors, anxiety, even a little paranoia, and of course loss of appetite. After about 2 or 3 months I usually would loose a good 15 pounds or so while taking the medication. Do to an insurance issue I was off the medication for about year. Recently (almost 3 ago now), I started taking my usual dose of 300mg a day again. However, this time around I feel no side effects at all? Could this mean I either built up a tolerance or the medication is going to stop working for some reason? Obviously I know I should really gi... ...

Wellbutrin SR Mylan
4 Replies RSS
I have read all the problems people are having with the generic versions of the Wellbutrin XL but I have had similar problems with the change in generics for Wellbutrin SR. I originally took 300 to 400 mgs of Wellbutrin SR manufactured by Watson. I have had several changes but did okay on the Wellbutrin by Watson and Sandoz. I went into a deep depression when I was switched to the Mylan but my insurance at first denied a different brand. Now they will switch to another generic with a special process. Has anyone experienced any side effects or improvement with the generic by Activis? ## Hello, Sorry to hear about your problems switching between all those manufacturers. It is however important to know that everyone reacts differently to these types of medications. So while one generic may... ...

Swithcing From Bupropion Xl To Sr
1 Reply RSS
I started on a course of Bup. XL of 150 mg for the first week and then double that the second week. Mornings which had been so difficult for me were great, but when I switched to the 300, I had terrible insomnia, and trouble reading. So the doctor switched me to Bup. SR 200 mg, and I am back to exhausted again. I have plenty of the XL left and am considering switching back and maybe cutting the second pill in half. Any recommendations or experience? ## The first thing that needs to be cleared up for you is that the XL and SR mean the same thing, there is no difference in those. They are both just abbreviations that designate those ones are being time released. If you were doing so well on the 150mg dosage, why did he want you to keep going up? It would really make more sense to stay at ... ...

Ive been taking the SR for a long time. I had a siezure Aug 2008. My Dr has kept me on this med. w/ok from Nuerologist. I recently became aware that the pharmacy gave me Bupropion HCL ER 200mg on my last refill-instead of the SR. I always check and cant beleive I didnt see this. Is there a diffrence? Ive felt really out of sorts, extreme hot flashes, sleeping poorly, upset anxious stomach. ## I have been taking Wellbutrin xl 300 mg for about 5 years. Change from Bupropian SR taken once a day to Bupropian XL
3 Replies RSS
My doctor has prescribed that I take Bupropian SR once a day (totaling 300 mg). This was after easing into the medication by taking Bupropian SR at only 150 mg for the first week. After three weeks at the full dosage (300 mg SR once a day), I was feeling like my best self. When I went to get a new script, he gave me the option of either staying on the SR (2 tablets once a day) or changing to 300 mg of the Bupropian XL. Since it seemed the same dosage, I decided to opt for one pill versus two. I've been on the XL for 12 days and feel like I've taken a serious backslide almost to my pre-medication low. It's hard to find any information on this topic since I know that SR is generally prescribed as a twice a day med. Is anyone familiar with a change in progress when moving from ... ...

Budeprion SR 150 mg tablets taken along with Fluoxetine HCL 20 MG capsules concerned parent
12 Replies RSS
my 18 year old son has been diagnosed with severe depression. His psychiatrist has him on 2 capsules daily of fluoxetine HCL 20 mg each along with 2 tablets daily of Budeprrion SR 150 mg each. To me, this seems like an awful lot of drugs for a young person to handle. They don't seem to be working. He's just lying around the house, not interested in joining in with family or friends and basically sleeps all day. I'm concerned that this is doing him more harm than good. Can this lead to an addiction to drugs? ## Your son is showing some of the classic symptoms of depression so it sounds like a great idea that he is taking antidepressants. He is taking 40 mg/day of Prozac and 300 mg/day of Wellbutrin. That is a pretty good combination IMO; and by no means is it a lot for severe... ...

I was taking Bupropion 150 mg SR twice per day ( so i was taking a total of 300 mg per day). Then my Dr switched me to the bupropion HCL 150 mg XL once per day and said it was the same as taking 300 mg per day. It doesn't seem right to me. Any thoughts on why this makes sense? ## Your doctor may be referring to the notion that 150mgs of extended release Bupropion is similar to taking it twice per day; since it remains in your system for a much longer period of time. Perhaps it is still in your system by the time you would've previously taken your second dose. It's not 100% clear to me, but that's the only logical reasoning I can think of. They say if you take 150mgs of XL in the morning, then you shouldn't need to take anymore of it later in the day. Whereas with SR ... ...

Need a small sized pill--which companies have this?
2 Replies RSS
I am going to be bumped up to 300 mg of Bupropion. For the last several years have been good on 200mg SR. I have a problem with insomnia and am worried about a Bup. 300 XL being in my system at night. My insomnia was worse in the past when I took the Bup. in the afternoon, and better when taking in the morning. Problem is- I need to eat before I take the Bup. which is a large pill-the reasong being that I have a Zencker's diverticulum (moderate sized pocket/pouch in my esophagus. I Hate getting pills stuck in there for many obvious reasons. My mom takes Bup.300 XL from Par Pharmaceuticals. It's 5 times smaller ( roughly the size of a pea) that my 200 mg generic(roughly the size of a dime). Par does not make a 300mg SR. So here is my question-- 1) does anyone make a 200 mg SR? 2)... ...

Does anyone know where to find the ingredients in this new generic bupropion xl 300mg. It's yellow and I had a problem with the sr when it went generic. That one was a bright yellow pill that smelled nasty. I had a reaction to it and broke out in hives. Now I get these 300mg pills and they stink too. I called the by mail pharmacy when they sent me a letter stating that welbutrin xl was going generic and spent 20 minutes on the phone with a pharmacist trying to find some info on this new generic and she couldn't help me. ## Well, without having the markings from the tablet, so we could find out which company made it, it will be very hard to find that information. The inactive ingredients do not have to be the same between the name and generics, nor do they have to be the same fro... ...

Prescription of zandip 20 mg , physiotens 0.4mg, karvezide 300 mg for high b.p ( 180/80). Recently added verpamil hydrochloride SR 240 mg trial with 0.4 mg physiotens, karvezide and Zanadip 10 mg. is this combo compatible? There is not much improvement. ## Are you also watching your diet? If you're sodium sensitive, then that could cause blood pressure elevation. Do you also get lots of proper exercise? That is also vital to blood pressure control. You really can't just take medications and expect them to do all of the work. What types of foods do you normally eat? Do you have any other medical conditions? ...
