I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. Do you currently have a PCP in your new area that might be able to refer you to a pain management specialist? If so, that might the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area that might help? Have you tried contacting the VA to see if they can refer you to someone local? ## NO ONE will help my husband after 22 yrs of military service. And it's just so unfair that they just don't care. I just found out my PCP is leaving my network for insurance and need a new dr that will be an easy transition and is not going to give me trouble about my adderall script. I don't take a lot 15mg twice daily and saw a psychiatrist in the past before getting on it but I know doctors can give people a hard time about this and hope to find one that isn't against the medicine etc. Can anyone else that is on this medication recommend a good doc? ## Hello, Michael! How are you? Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, a PCP will not be able to prescribe it for you, you'll need to see a specialist, which means seeing a psychiatrist, again. Adderall is a stimulant medication that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy, it carries the risk of being habit fo...

I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone? ## I can provide you with links that may help you in your search for pain management doctors that specialize in prescribing narcotics; however, there really is no way anyone can know ahead of time what these doctors are or are not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's...

What and Where is this OCH place they talk about. I see a lot of posts are 3 to 5 years old. Anything current? My husband has been in chronic pain for years and they keep taking MRI's and scans....we really have no clear answer on teh results except they look good!! Then why is he in hellish pain all the time? We have gone to 2 pain management clinics and neither one prescribes pain meds and you have to wait 3 to 6 weeks for an injection appointment! What is he to do in the mean time...just suffer? ## Those are older posts and there are no simple answers except to say things are only becoming more restrictive without tangible documentation of a condition (i.e.;mri,cat scan, Xray) most General practioners are extreamly hesitent to prescribe opiate like narcotics. Some pain clinics ha...

A doctor in or near Springfield Illinois that will prescribe pain medication and xanex. ## Hello, Wesley! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll most likely need to get them both from specialists, now. Do you current have a PCP that may be able to refer you to the appropriate doctors? That would likely be the easiest way to get the help you need. Xanax is a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## Before I moved, I used to go to Michael Brewer at Springfield Clinic. You just need to have a medical condition for the pain medicine or the records from old pcp. ## Wesley, I'm in Springfi...

I have a herniated disc in my back along with severe carpal tunnel in both hands. I just moved here from san Diego and need to find a Dr that will prescribe me something. I'm not looking for anything crazy just something like vicodin that will take the edge off when it gets severe. The only insurance I have right now is medi-cal so preferably a Dr that accepts that or isn't too expensive out if pocket. ## Since you're no longer a resident of Calif you won't be able to use Medical. You need to check the eligibility requirements for Ohio Medicaid and if you met them apply for Medicaid in Ohio. ## All doctors can..but I doubt you have a reason other than getting high. Otherwise you would have a Doctor and be under his care...quit trying to source out drugs on forums ## Plea...

Please some one help i am taking suboxon 8mg2times day I cant stand them I am so hot every 20mins I feel like am gonna pass out please is there a doctor anywhere near Akron even 60Miles away that i can get methadone. My last hope clinc is to packed help ## Hello, Sky! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. However, for Methadone treatment, a clinic is your only option under current law. A private practice doctor cannot legally prescribe it for you. It can only be given in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Sincerely, sayleen ## Hello, Sayleen! How are you? What type of doctor are you looking for, a PCP or a pain management specialist? Perhaps an orthopedic surgeon? Without knowing a bit more specifics of who you were seeing, it's hard for anyone to make recommendations. I think you're looking for help with pain, but I'm not entirely sure. Can you please post back with more details? Thanks!

I was wheelchair-bound & in constant, horrific pain for eight years despite 2 lumbar surgeries & a C-spine surgery. After my last lumbar surgery, a year in a nursing home with an excellent physical therapist and the right medication my pain was under control...I could finally get out of bed after 8 yrs, walk a half mile, live a relatively normal life...I was even considering a part-time job eventually. This was when I lived in California. 2 yrs ago I moved to Mountain Home AR to be with my sister. I immediately tried finding a doctor here but there was no one willing to help me. When I ran out of the meds I brought from California, I went through severe withdrawal, & back to the unbearable chronic pain for which I considered suicide many times. When Dr. Chatman & Tilley ...

My doctor had a stoke and was prescribing me 30 mg a day of methadone for a chronic pain syndrome..I am a 51 yr old that has never abused drugs!! Does anyone know a dr. or pain dr. that is willing to prescribe this to me..Either in Col, ohio, or Springfield ohio!! Thanks for your time!! ## You'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place at the beginning of the year. Due to the increased rates of over prescribing and improper prescribing, the DEA and FDA are making it harder for general practitioners and surgeons to prescribe such medications for long-term use and most people that need them must be referred to pain management. My wife and I moved from the state of Missouri where she received great care from a female Psychiatrist In Springfield Missouri that prescribed my wife 1Mg of Klonopin 3 times a day. We only had enough money to move to Miami Oklahoma when the problem started with another doctor (Dr. Sangal) who cut her dose in half and the doctor after Dr. Sangal (Dr. J. Mallgren) took her off of Klonopin day and prescribed her GABAPENTIN cap @ 300Mg. (VERY BAD IDEA!). We now live close to Oklahoma City since we moved here a week ago 8-4-15. Alexandria now staying awake for 3 or 4 days sleeps on the 4th or 5th day due to exhaustion. ## Who was the doc in Springfield? I have rsd/crps, my pain management physician is moving, my disease involves bilateral hands and feet, my right shoulder is bone on bone and is not repairable, i need to find a pain management physician in the kansas city or springfield mo area that utilizes a written contract for narcotic pain management ## Hello, Kay! How are you? Just a warning: If you contact places and ask them about prescribing narcotics, before you're a patient, most will view that as being drug seeking behavior and won't even let you get in the door. So, if you do get a good recommendation, you'll want to wait, until you are at an appointment with them, to discuss your treatment options. I'm not saying you're doing this, I'm just letting you know, in case. And with any doctor, there's...

I originally wrote on 3/16/14 looking for a pain doctor in north central Arkansas or southern Missouri...I live in Mountain Home, AR & am willing to drive to Springfield MO or as far south as Little Rock AR, as far west as Fayetteville or as far east as Jonesboro. I moved from California to Arkansas to be with my sister a year ago & am still unable to find a doctor here who will prescribe the meds I was taking in CA, which were 60 mg MSContin twice daily, 350 mg Soma three times daily, and 1-2 10 mg oxycodone every 4 hrs, plus a 3rd one 45 minutes later if I really needed it. It is like the twilight zone here in AR; every doctor thinks you're a drug addict even though I have all my surgery records, films, discharge instructions (I'd been in a nursing home for 2 yrs befor...

I have lower back pain deg fiscs none of the surgeons recommend this surgery however none will prescribe pain meds anyone in springfield massachusetts ## Hi Jessi, Surgery is the last option, if you only have pain in your lower back, surgery will not help. Have you and your doctor talked about muscle relaxers, like Soma or Flexeril? There are many non surgical that can help a lot. Seeing an OT doctor works wonders, using a TENS unit, steroids by mouth. (I've had 7 back surgeries ) Good Luck!
