Is it ok to take 1 ALEAVE pm every night for muscle pain and help too sleep? ## Hello, Spice guy! How are you? I'm sorry you're in pain and having trouble sleeping. Over the counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories are really only intended for short-term occasional use, because there can be risks associated with their long-term use, such as liver damage or stomach damage. The best thing to do would be to use it for a short period of time, while waiting to see your doctor to get too the root of the problem and find a proper and safer solution. The FDA lists possible side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just switched from oxybutin to myrbetriq. The oxybutin caused dry skin (and I'm wrinkling like a prune), a host of problems from dry mouth including crumbling teeth and hypersensitivity to spices including salt. Some days the salt in cheese burns. I got mouth sores and some days I couldn't eat bread without choking. I knew my eyes were dry - I'm just reading here that my recent vision problems were more fallout. And the horrendous leg cramps. The question is, how soon can I hope to see a difference? Will it reverse? ## Hello, Vric! How are you? Yes, it should reverse, but it may take a few weeks from the time you stopped taking it. However, you should be aware that Myrbetriq carries the risk of causing similar side effects, as reported by the FDA, so you may still experien...

I had an A-fib episode in 2008 and was put on 120 MG of Sotolol taken twice a day (240 MG total daily consumption). Tested well with this drug during 4 day hospital stay and never seemed to have any side effects. Took Sotolol until 2014; then my EP said I no longer needed it if I avoided my A-fib trigger...spicey food. All went well until recently when I had a return episode (first in over 8 years) and was hospitalized and put back on the same dosage of Sotolol and have now been on it for 23 days. This time I am experiencing bad side effects: dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea and overall weakness. Will these side effects dissipate over time? (They disappear every evening when my morning dosage wears off.) Cardiologist suggested I reduce dosage to 160 MG per day but I fear the A-fib...

I do take oxycodone 5 mg every 12 hours and I take naproxen 440 mg every 8 hours. I have swelling of my feet ankles and lower legs, mostly on the left. The anti-inflamatory properties of the naproxen doesn't seem to help the swelling to reduce at all. What could be inhibiting this? I am also type 2 diabetic and take 1000 mg twice a day. I also mix turmeric and ginger into my herbal tea, at least once per day. I use about 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of those spices and 1 tbsp raw honey. ## Lisa, Has your doctor ever prescribed or recommended a diuretic like lasix ? After trying two antidepressants and multiple therapists, my doctor has decided to prescribe me Topamax for my binge eating disorder. I used to also be bulimic, but thanks to therapy have ceased purging for about six months now. I wanted to get feedback from those whose have been prescribed Tomamax for binge eating disorder and/or bulimia. My binging includes consuming anything edible, including expired items in the trash and edible vitamins/supplements/spices, so it is a very serious case. I will binge to the point of illness and have gotten food poisoning from eating rancid food. Has anyone with binge eating disorder found Topamax to help them? If so, what dosage were you on and how long did it take to get relief? I am afraid to take another medication only to be let down again, but I...
