I have been taking Sompraz 40 since the last seven months once daily for acidity. This is suiting me very well. I want to know whether sompraz 40 and nexpro 40 are same medicine with different nomenclature. One of my family member was advised to take sompraz 40 along with other medicines. I just want to know how to take Sompraz? There are 3 tablets for the morning & 3 tablets for the evening in one kit. Doctors have prescribed the same kit to me for 14 days. My endoscopy was done 1 week ago. And ulcers and H. Pyroli was found. Among other things sompraz 40mg was prescribed for 1 month. 1 before breakfast, and 1 before dinner everyday for one month. How many minutes or hours before food should i take this tablet? Should i take it 5 minutes before food, or 30 minutes before food or ? Feel very weak in the evening find difficult to walk and have breathing problem after taking ecosprin150 at 1 pm I am also taking Sompraz 40 one 7 AM and 7 PM o clock for last one year. I am also taking clopilet 75 one at 9 AM and one at 9 Pm. What could be reason for my weakness. Is it necessary to continue Sompraz 40 in the long term ## Actually, Sompraz is only meant to be taken for short periods of time, usually only up to 4 months, because long-term use of it can increased your risk of hip fractures, as reported by the FDA. Common side effects may include: nausea, headaches, gas and constipation. ## My dad was recently prescribed "Sompraz 40" - Esomeprazole tablets. He has a history of stomach ulcer which was cured 3yrs back. And now the irritation resurfaced which is why I believe he was prescribed this medicine. On starting with this new med, there has been some changes in his voice, swelling below the area of eyes, face and tiredness. Would you please let me know if these are the side effects of Sompraz??? Please help.
