I was switched from Soma 350mg to balcofen 20mg. By my Doc. and don't like how tired I feel with Balcofen.... Although Soma used to put me out and even black out at times.. ## Hello, Slick! How are you? How long have you been taking the Baclofen? Tiredness can be a side effect of muscle relaxants, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. If you've only been taking it for a short time, you may be experiencing side effects of it, coupled with withdrawal effects from stopping the Soma.

Just received my refill of soma 350mg but they look different than the ones I am used to getting from the same pharmacy. No read out was put in the bag. The white round pill had a SG 109 on one side & blank on the other side. Anybody ever heard of these before? Because, since there was no print out of the new different medication I was a little worried, "what if the pharmacist made a little error in mine & somebody else's medications". Is there a rebate card available for Soma? I have ins. but it's still an expensive co-pay. ## Um I get 90 pills for about $1.92, Soma is very inexpensive, on the Walmart $4.00 list ## I have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder and it goes across and down my back causing my muscle to stand up on my shoulder and it's painful and burns. Soma 350mg helps but my doctor said they couldn't write them anymore. I have tried different muscle relaxers and none work but soma (carisoprodol). Does anyone have feedback on the efficacy of methocarbamol?

which is a more potent drug, soma 350 or flexeril ## The Soma is much more potent and effective as a muscle relaxant. The Flexeril tends to be very mild and only helps with slight muscle spasms. Trying to find an actual pic of plain large white capsule that's suppose to be soma... I can't fi d one.....its suppose to be 350mg......help ## Pretty sure Carisoma is made outside the U.S.? Just Google Soma and then click on Images! ## @liberate, Are there any markings on your pill that help identify it by substance, dosage, and manufacturer? If it doesn't have an imprint it could literally be anything from A-Z. From my own research, the only carisoma pills I found on google images are either round orange tablets that are blank with a score line or are white round tablets with the word "WALLACE" embedded on one side and a score line on the other. I have yet to see any capsule-shaped carisoma pills. This is generally why I don't trust ordering pills from oversea...

My doctor has recently become hesitant to give me Soma with the combined drugs and wants me to use a different Muscle Relaxer. Is there a new law coming to NY to prevent doctors from prescribing the three drugs together? I fave severe spinal stenosis at multiple levels and two herniated discs causing chronic pain, ## Be careful as you don't want your Xanax or Oxycodone compromised as well. its says ww176, white, round, ## I cannot find an image, this is manufactured by Westward and they do not have all of their pills online. Are pro soma Any good and are they better than pain o soma ? I've taken dans, v's, etc. ## In my findings, both "pro-soma" and "pain-o-soma" contain the same active ingredient (Carisoprodol) in 350mg to 500mg dosage strengths. Other dosages may be available as well but those are the two options I'm presently aware of for these specific brand names. That said, I don't see why one would work any better or worse than the other unless certain inactive ingredients affected their bioavailability. Nevertheless, because we all react/respond differently to the same meds, trial and error may be only way to find out for certain which one works best for you. It is not a "Narcotic" or a C2 substance in PA. A MD, PA, DO,or NP can prescribe this medicine. A DVM or DMD, the DMV or Doctor Joey can't!

I start a new muscle relaxer tonight called Baclofen. I'd been taking Soma fit years and it's just not helping with the terrible spasms anymore. I'm hoping the Baclofen does the trick. The medication just called Soma, or its generics Carisoprodol do not contain Codeine, or any other narcotic. Carisoprodol is the only active ingredient in them. Thus, though it is a muscle relaxant that can help with muscle spasms that cause pain, it will not help with other types of pain, such as nerve pain or surgical pain as a narcotic would. It is solely used for muscle pain and spasms. I am writing this thread forum to discuss the shortage on soma and carisoprodol. Recently even the best pharmacies in my area are completely out of soma. Had to wait a week just to get my second best preferred soma 350mg generic. I had to settle for Jubliant Cadista Pharma generics which are the imprinted OP 35 white tablets. I have been on the Watson formulation for over 5 years which are imprinted DAN 5513. Luckily when Activas Elizabeth / Mayne Pharma acquired Watson Pharma then of which now Teva Pharma has acquired Activas medications. Activas was smart as they kept the Watson formulation of soma and dispensed the watson generic formulation.
