i was wondering if u sniff suboxone does it work the same way? ## No. Suboxone only works one way - by dissolving it under your tongue. It is specially designed that way. If you try to snort, swallow, inject it, (etc.) it has an ingredient - naloxone (sp?) - that will render it useless. In fact, if you take it any of those ways you might actually kick-start yourself into withdrawal. When you dissolve it under your tongue it allows for the main ingredient (the opioid part) to be released into your body. But my question is - why would you want to snort it? Aren't you taking suboxone to rid yourself of that lifestyle? Or do you just like sticking things into your nose? If that's the case, try crushing and snorting Smarties candies. I am about to start Suboxone for the second time. The first time I didn't follow the rules and began taking it before I was in withdrawals. It was awful. I want to do it right this time. They say wait until you are at least in mild withdrawals. That is different for everyone. I am terrified of taking it too early. I am snorting heroin daily. I have weened myself off to just three lines per day. The dope I get isn't good either. My question is do I need to wait until I am a complete mess? Can I start taking it when I just start feeling anxious and restless? Should I be puking. Anyone with advice or personal experience please respond. I have to get it right this time. Here's my story. I started years ago occasionally using roxi 30's on every few weekends a month. Not a habit or addiction (per say) but just for fun at parties and bars. Around 5 months ago I began abusing them daily. (to help get through some rough times) Approx 1-3 (never more than 3, and hardly ever 3) Snorting or eating them 1/2 pill (15 mg) a time. In the past month I have began taking them upon waking. Before this it was later in the day or at night. I am tired of the feeling i have been having the past month and was given two 8mg subs. I took a tiny tiny chip of suboxone friday night, none since, will it show on urine test tuesday? Also i am prescribed opana and need to be positive for opana. I have one opana er left, if i swallow half mon pm and tues am will i be positive for opana? Neg for sub? As for the snorting part, tell her to knock that off as she is wasting her soma. To get the most out of ur soma it can be easily swallowed for around 85-90% BAv. snorting is not always best as it messes up the cilia in ur nose and also shes not getting but maybe 60% if shes lucky so if she has the 350 shes only getting a max of 200mg per pill when she could pop a few and get more out of her medication- Just letting U kno! But don't worry as Im rxed and on 3 350mg somas, and 16mg's subox right now and feel fine. also, if she stoped the subox, the soma would work better alone as it metabolizes into an old school pain med from the 50s and 60s...

hey everyone, this is my second day on suboxone and to be completely honest i feel great. i take it as directed sublingually and it takes about an hour to an hour and a half until i start to feel it. i was currently IV'ing 120-150 mg's oxy codone once or sometimes twice a day. my doctor prescribed me 3 - 8 mg suboxone pills a day which i was instructed to take at my own discretion. i do not think i would call this a high but i definately have an enlightened mood and i feel very productive. i also feel a little euphoric but nowhere near the oxy high im so used to. i do occasionally think about snorting it but i am trying to quit my habit not reinforce it with my last hope. i refuse to take methadone as i will not be hand fed my life line daily like a farm animal and i hear the wi...
