I started feeling sick last week, but thought nothing of it. Went to the dr on Wed. and up until then I had no fevers. Was prescribed SMZ/TMP. She really couldn't diagnose me at that time. I started it Wed. night. Went back to work on Thurs. and had to leave mid morning. I could barely stand up straight. I kept doubling over. By the time I got home fever of 103. Still on med, but continue to get fevers of low grade. Continue to double over. My urine is dark yellow, almost orange. Is that because of the med? ## I had similar symptoms when taking it and it turned out to be a bad reaction that only got worse, when I didn't connect it to the antibiotic right away. I am an 80 year old female in good health with no medications until a recent bout with Urinary Tract Infection. I tolerated the pills for a few days week but the symptoms got so severe I stopped taking them. I took 15 out of 20. I was constipated for the first four days and had stomach discomfort with lots of gas and bloating. The last couple of days my legs hurt bad from my groin to my knees and the bloating and gas got worse even after regular bowel movements. I felt so bad I stayed in bed most of the day. I felt normal after getting off this medication. Will never take this one again.
