They are both benzodiazepines that are commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders, but they are different medications. The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

Was told it's ritalin, but have never seen this kind. ## Hi Alana, Based on my research, the pill you have is actually identified as a 0.5mg Lorazepam tablet manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. (Definitely not Ritalin). Ritalin contains the active ingredient Methylphenidate, which is used for ADHD and narcolepsy. Lorazepam on the other hand is a benzodiazepine class drug that treats anxiety. Hopefully that wasn't a friend who gave or sold that to you saying it's Ritalin or I would have a difficult time trusting them from this point forward. ## It's a 1 MG not .5

I've been taking 1mg of lorazepam and I get my refill at a different pharmacy that I've never used before. They give me a small, white pill with the number 4008 on one side and what appears to be a cursive V on the other. Is this Lorazepam? ## Hello, Dawn! How are you?
